I suggest you look at the 6-day war, where 3 Arab countries directly attacked Israel with several others providing support, and Israel won single-handedly. The United States did not intervene, nor did any European country.

BREAKING NEWS: Hamas has rejected the peace treaty that Egypt delivered.
Why?
1. An IDF company exited the Gaza strip.
2. The US stated that the with or without hamas' agreeing to the peace treaty, ISRAEL should not enter Rafah.
I think the US negotiation capabilities are lacking. why should hamas agree to a peace treaty if they get what they want without any concessions from their part?
If you want to know why the war is still on, I think it's because the west doesn't understand the mindset of hamas.

Mr Youssef is an entertaining guy who has a sarcastic style of presentation. But his so called facts do not line up. First of all there are the weapons caches, and dead Hamas terrorists that were killed on the the hospital grounds, and inside the hospital wards. These are people who were know to be Hamas even prior to the war. Next we need to examine his claim about collateral damage. If you look at the West and Israel there are military bases and weapons depots. These are not mixed in civilian areas. They are identifiable and isolated bases. In Gaza there are not such things. The weapons and fighters are intermixed with residential areas. Israel is doing the best job in history in avoiding collateral damage in the fight in Gaza. That is documentented fact. They have killed less civilians than Hamas Terrorist for a collateral damage ratio of less than 1 to 1.The U.S. and the West has never come close to such a ratio in street and house to house combat environments. I could go on, but that fact that this host is not challenging him on these facts doesn't make his statements true. Mr Youssef made very big claims, and provided absolutely zero evidence to back them up.
I think it was back during Operation Cast Lead that Israel first mentioned the use of human shields. I remember arguing that if it were true that Hamas was using human shields, and Israel knew that they were, then it followed that Israel KNEW that it was killing those women and children, and thus Israel was shooting itself in the foot.
