Their group dances are amazing but the best thing I could recommend is N's (the guy who caught your attention - leader, main dancer) dance performance video to Lee Sun Hee's Fate. As if the song itself didn't make me cry enough times, his performance and its beautiful aesthetics just added to it. Even if not as a reaction video I really really really recommend you to see it
Honestly voodoo doll is a masterpiece when it comes to a dance fitting a concept, but my personal favorite is Hyde. The dance embodies the spirit of jekyll and hyde and really shows the duality and it's so well done. The dance practice is good, but you have to watch a stage where their outfits match their side: either jekyll or hyde. I'm so glad you're FINALLY enjoying more VIXX choreography, XD The way VIXX interprets all of their choreographies is on another level of storytelling. VooDoo had so much emotions such as pain, insanity, and lots of cool movements when walking around like ghouls, acting like voodoo dolls, the whole shehbang. You missed talking about the prop that went around the whole group. The travel point of the prop was so well thought out and was utilized for so many purposes. In one part of the choreo, it was a mic, another, it was a stake, and then a pendulum, etc. Your stand out is "N" who is the leader of VIXX, and he's my most favorite male kpop dancer. He has a great piece he did with other female backup dancers that incorporated a Traditional Korean Theme, called 인연 (InYeon). Worth checking out on your own time to see his true form as a dancer. If you loved VooDoo and barely handled this piece, then you're in for a treat once you get to their other emotional pieces like Fantasy or Error. You might cry again; just saying. Also, yes, it's definitely worth checking out all of their MV's. Thank You for your analyses ;D Oh yeah, and as far as how VIXX is doing, some are still in the military, and others are doing other things. I know Ravi and Leo have been active doing solo's, and Ravi actually helps other groups in music production. Another Oh yeah! lol - this piece of choreography got flagged for being too graphic with the stabbing, so they had to remake the choreo minus all the stabbing going on, lol, BUT there is maybe only one, or a few live performances where they had the original graphic choreo.

I love that when they dance you can see their own style in dance. When they dance together same movement you can see light differences in every members dance style. Yes absolutely unity looks cool and it works but in long run I value more that they have kept their own styles and they let it show.
They’ve all got their own individual musicality. Their own special way of interpreting the music which can be a very beautiful thing when the dancers are good (like VIXX) 😊👍

A VIXX choreo reaction OMFG it's been 87 heckin years, I thought you'd forgotten about them completely. Glad you liked your second foray into their stuff, though, they are really one of the only truly "theatrical" groups in Kpop from a purely conceptual standpoint, where every performance seems like a mini-play. There may be other groups that are technically "better" all-around dancers from a technical standpoint, aka more synchronized/have harder moves/whatever, but VIXX's dances still always stand out for how well they integrate the concept into the choreo and performances itself instead of feeling like a series of disconnected flashy moves like a lot of dances put out by many groups these days. As for other dances of theirs to react to, I'd recommend... well, all of them :P but Hyde (concept: Jekyll and Hyde), Error (concept: cyborgs), and Fantasy (concept: Greek mythology) are particular standouts. And you should TOTALLY react to VIXX's Voodoo Doll MV, it tops everyone's Spoopy/Halloween Kpop playlists every time for a reason. >:D Also yes, they are on hiatus for military reasons, their two eldest are currently enlisted with at least one having to enlist this year, so it will probably be awhile before we see OT6 back again. TT TT (Personally, I think they should all go together to get it all over with at once, but that's never how anyone does it, so it was probably too much to ask. ;;)

Yay!! VIXX. My ult group. Your standout is N the leader and main dancer. He and Leo are currently in the military. The others are doing things on their own at the moment. Ken has done a lot of musicals and has his own youtube channel. Hyuk has been doing acting. Ravi has started up his own label and is doing his own solo songs and is currently a member on the variety show 2Days1Night. So they are all busy doing their own thing while the military service is ongoing. I miss them. Thank you for reacting to this.

YESSSSSS this is one of my favorite kpop choreos ever and i'm so glad to see you checked it out!!! this is a piece that so strongly shows why vixx are the concept kings, from the level of immersion by each of the members into this raw and intense concept to the smart and symbolic choreo that matches it so well, and that combination is what makes vixx and their stages so eye-catching to me! fantasy, hyde, and error are some of my favorites for that reason too! i'd also like to add on to the comments recommending N's performance videos: fate, last fantasia, and passionate tango! and you're right about the voodoo doll mv! it's a bit intense for some and it's why there's a clean version of the mv, in addition to the original. i surprised myself with how long this comment got, this video really awakened my inner starlight 😂 thanks for the reaction!

The interesting thing about Vixx's choreographies is that they're very theatrical and focus more on telling a story rather than on having a bunch of super fast/hard-hitting synchronized dance moves (not that they don't have those too, but it's not their emphasis), which is why they're widely acknowledged as "concept kings" in the entertainment industry. Everything from their lyrics, choreo, and MV revolve around a central theme and serve to tell a story or convey a message. The group is on hiatus right now since there are members serving in the military, but the ones who aren't are still busy with solo projects! Since you've now seen their elegance in Shangri-La and how they embrace the dramatic in Voodoo Doll, I'd love to see a reaction to their choreo for Hyde (also another piece with great storytelling present throughout the performance) or Scentist (a study in the balance between sensuality and power, and their most recent release after Shangri-La)

I'm so glad you got to this one - Vixx are known as the concept kings and for damn good reason. They took the concept of the voodoo doll and took it to the Nth degree. And yes your standout was the same this time and last time - that's N (real name: Cha Hakyeon), leader, main dancer, honey vocal, and absolute sass master. He's had modern dance and ballet training and he has choroeographed pieces for Vixx (Desperate is the one I can think of atm, I know he's done others.) The MV for Voodoo Doll is super gory, I think it was one of the first to get a 19+ rating - not for sexuality but for the sheer gore they brought to the table. They had to make a 'clean' version that could actually get aired and they had to modify the choreography to be able to perform it (instead of stabbing each other, they used their hands for your favorite part or slammed the stick down to the ground) so it was definitely a revelation to a lot of people at the time. They also got their first win with this song too! They bury themselves hard in the concept, whatever it may be. Their last comeback with all 6 that has a MV is called Scentist, the concept is based off the book Perfumer: The Scent of a Murderer, so you can guess just what track that's going down. Ever since On & On, they went down a pretty dark turn for their concepts - not one has been truly bright or happy with the possible exception of their cover of R.ef's Love Equation, but since that was a cover, I maintain that they've stuck to the dark concepts. (Don't let GR8U fool you - there's a reason the entire video is played backwards... it's the Jekyll half of Jekyll & Hyde - speaking of Hyde, go watch that dance practice) The two eldest are in the military right now - N & Leo (most of them use stage names, only Hongbin uses his real name) - Leos the one in the gray sweater in this one, and did the high note - Ken's the one you said has an angelic voice and omg so true. Ravi (rapper) joined 2D1N and is going all over variety shows after creating his own hip-hop label - he does some solo work and releases his own mix tapes. Hyuk (the maknae, ofc the tallest one of the group even though they're all similar in height which makes the choreo work for them - 98% of it is LEGS LEGS LEGS bc they're all near 6 ft.) has been doing musicals and dramas, Ken's doing musicals, Hongbin's keeping quiet for the moment bc the internet tried to fry him for having an opinion on a remix, but he does twitch streams for his gaming for the most part. For recs: You're definitely going to want to watch On & On (vampires), Error (cyborgs), Hyde (Jekyll & Hyde), Scentist (Perfumer), and the epic Conception trilogy: Dynamite, Fantasy, and The Closer (all based on Greek gods). They have dance practices for every single one of those, so all fixed cams! You'll probably also want to check out N's solo dance videos for Fate and Last Fantasia and his Passionate Tango that the official channel has.

I remember you said a while back that you'd already seen Chained Up (dead ass my fave song of theirs) oh but omg you're also going to want to find a performance of Love Me Do and Desperate. Excellent pieces of choreography if you ask me. Ah crap and now I remembered what I was going to say about Error's dance practice - if you can, do a double shot reaction because they have the 'actual' dance practice and then... there's the Error...ed version where it's Vixx in their natural habitat of mostly goofing off and clowning each other. (Leo looks super serious but he's actually the one goofing the hardest, he's just doing it with a poker face)
Scentist [scent+artist] from the album Eau de Vixx is the latest group release. It came out about a year after Shangri La ^_^ The concept is based on Patrick Suskind's "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer"......but it's delivered in a sensual style instead of their usual dark / horror one
You have got to watch the MV of Voodoo Doll, I would love to see your reaction to it! It has a 19 rating and VIXX's maknae Hyuk was only 17 when they made it so he was too young to actually watch it!! Two of the members are 30 and are in the military now but there last comeback was Scentist which is worth a look. Also I recommend the dance practice for Error. The concept was cyborgs so you can imagine how well they pulled that off. Tbh you should watch the Error MV too - it is a masterpiece & one of the best MVs I have ever seen!!

I'd recommend you to have a look at VIXX's Error MV! The song is beautiful and it has an amazing storyline! Also, there's Shangri-la MV as well as dance. Every second of the music video can be used as a wallpaper, it's so gorgeous.........not to mention their dance with fans! It's worth checking out!

yess vixx are my ult bias group thank you for reacting to them ~and yes they are on hiatus since two members ( N the leader and leo ) are in the military but they did have two other comebacks after shangri-la (scentist and Parallel ) but all the members are busy with solo stuff ( one of the members ravi even started his own company and you should react to his solo stuff "Rockstar" and "tuxedo") and you should totally react to the mv for voodoo doll if you don't like the graphics there is another clean version without it that focuses more on the dance and expressions ^^ i would also like to recommend vixx's Hyde , fantasy and chained up to react to if you didn't . and it terms of killer performance and expressions wise i would like to suggest N's solo performances "Fate" and "last fantasia "

Yes, they will not perform as a group for a while. But you can check out their old stuff! N and Leo are in military (the eldest & your pick, N, will come out this October) I’m not sure when will the others go in, right now they are working on their own careers. Ken is doing musicals and started his own yt channel; Ravi created his own company (in collab with Jellyfish so no worries) and is working on solo and other pieces with the artists under the label, while filming a long-term reality show 2D1N, rumors are he will also start hosting a couple dating show some time after; Hongbin had his own twitch account and is streaming as a gamer, but he separates it from his idol career and he wanted the fans not to talk about any related things on his channel; Hyuk also participated in musicals, and he finally had a solo debut last year.
Voodoo doll is one of my fav choreos from them! Their performances are all so dedicated with concepts, so it’s fun to watch. Now they are more leaned into mature, sexy starting from chained up era, but I do miss the powerful choreos like they did in early stages of their career like this.

VIXX latest comeback was their 3rd full album eau de VIXX. Tittle track = Scentist in 2018. (Parallel that came in 2019 was a digital single so I don't count). They are starting military now so it's kinda a hiatus.
Your excitement is so fun to watch! VIXX are quite unique. Their choreographies always tell a story, completing each release to a full cohesive unit, from MV, to lyric to outfits, it all serves the storytelling purpose. This video is two years old but I wish you'd someday react to more of their stuff. For example, Hyde and Error I think you can really appreciate. He's had modern dance and ballet training and he has choroeographed pieces for Vixx (Desperate is the one I can think of atm, I know he's done others.) The MV for Voodoo Doll is super gory, I think it was one of the first to get a 19+ rating - not for sexuality but for the sheer gore they brought to the table. They had to make a 'clean' version that could actually get aired and they had to modify the choreography to be able to perform it (instead of stabbing each other, they used their hands for your favorite part or slammed the stick down to the ground) so it was definitely a revelation to a lot of people at the time. They also got their first win with this song too! They bury themselves hard in the concept, whatever it may be. Their last comeback with all 6 that has a MV is called Scentist, the concept is based off the book Perfumer: The Scent of a Murderer, so you can guess just what track that's going down. Ever since On & On, they went down a pretty dark turn for their concepts - not one has been truly bright or happy with the possible exception of their cover of R.ef's Love Equation, but since that was a cover, I maintain that they've stuck to the dark concepts. (Don't let GR8U fool you - there's a reason the entire video is played backwards... it's the Jekyll half of Jekyll & Hyde - speaking of Hyde, go watch that dance practice)
The two eldest are in the military right now - N & Leo (most of them use stage names, only Hongbin uses his real name) - Leos the one in the gray sweater in this one, and did the high note - Ken's the one you said has an angelic voice and omg so true. Ravi (rapper) joined 2D1N and is going all over variety shows after creating his own hip-hop label - he does some solo work and releases his own mix tapes. Hyuk (the maknae, ofc the tallest one of the group even though they're all similar in height which makes the choreo work for them - 98% of it is LEGS LEGS LEGS bc they're all near 6 ft.) has been doing musicals and dramas, Ken's doing musicals, Hongbin's keeping quiet for the moment bc the internet tried to fry him for having an opinion on a remix, but he does twitch streams for his gaming for the most part.
For recs: You're definitely going to want to watch On & On (vampires), Error (cyborgs), Hyde (Jekyll & Hyde), Scentist (Perfumer), and the epic Conception trilogy: Dynamite, Fantasy, and The Closer (all based on Greek gods). They have dance practices for every single one of those, so all fixed cams! You'll probably also want to check out N's solo dance videos for Fate and Last Fantasia and his Passionate Tango that the official channel has.
I appreciate the in-depth background info! That’s interesting that their concepts have been dark & they’ve stuck with it. Will definitely be checking out an MV or two in the near future to take in the full VIXX effect!

I remember you said a while back that you'd already seen Chained Up (dead ass my fave song of theirs) oh but omg you're also going to want to find a performance of Love Me Do and Desperate. Excellent pieces of choreography if you ask me. Ah crap and now I remembered what I was going to say about Error's dance practice - if you can, do a double shot reaction because they have the 'actual' dance practice and then... there's the Error...ed version where it's Vixx in their natural habitat of mostly goofing off and clowning each other. (Leo looks super serious but he's actually the one goofing the hardest, he's just doing it with a poker face)

Scentist [scent+artist] from the album Eau de Vixx is the latest group release. It came out about a year after Shangri La ^_^
The concept is based on Patrick Suskind's "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer"......but it's delivered in a sensual style instead of their usual dark / horror one

You have got to watch the MV of Voodoo Doll, I would love to see your reaction to it! It has a 19 rating and VIXX's maknae Hyuk was only 17 when they made it so he was too young to actually watch it!! Two of the members are 30 and are in the military now but there last comeback was Scentist which is worth a look. Also I recommend the dance practice for Error. The concept was cyborgs so you can imagine how well they pulled that off. Tbh you should watch the Error MV too - it is a masterpiece & one of the best MVs I have ever seen!!

yess vixx are my ult bias group thank you for reacting to them ~and yes they are on hiatus since two members ( N the leader and leo ) are in the military but they did have two other comebacks after shangri-la (scentist and Parallel ) but all the members are busy with solo stuff ( one of the members ravi even started his own company and you should react to his solo stuff "Rockstar" and "tuxedo")

This is my favourite vixx song..I was so disappointed when they had to adapt the choreography for TV and remove the stabbing. It was still amazing but the censors thought the stabs were to graphic ㅠ.ㅠ

I’m not sure when will the others go in, right now they are working on their own careers. Ken is doing musicals and started his own yt channel; Ravi created his own company (in collab with Jellyfish so no worries) and is working on solo and other pieces with the artists under the label, while filming a long-term reality show 2D1N, rumors are he will also start hosting a couple dating show some time after; Hongbin had his own twitch account and is streaming as a gamer, but he separates it from his idol career and he wanted the fans not to talk about any related things on his channel; Hyuk also participated in musicals, and he finally had a solo debut last year.
Voodoo doll is one of my fav choreos from them! Their performances are all so dedicated with concepts, so it’s fun to watch. Now they are more leaned into mature, sexy starting from chained up era, but I do miss the powerful choreos like they did in early stages of their career like this.
It was definitely an outstanding piece! They’ve got me hooked so I’ll for sure be back for more VIXX reactions in the future 😊👍

As for the Voodoo MV, yes this is the one that have age limit. It is not horror but it is pretty gross, prepare yourself to the fullest before you watch it (but tbh even tho I hate gross stuff, it really builds up the concept)

You should check out N's performance video for Fate. It's not his song but he made the choreography himself and released it on his birthday in 2018.

VIXX latest comeback was their 3rd full album eau de VIXX. Tittle track = Scentist in 2018. (Parallel that came in 2019 was a digital single so I don't count). They are starting military now so it's kinda a hiatus.

Your excitement is so fun to watch! VIXX are quite unique. Their choreographies always tell a story, completing each release to a full cohesive unit, from MV, to lyric to outfits, it all serves the storytelling purpose. This video is two years old but I wish you'd someday react to more of their stuff. For example, Hyde and Error I think you can really appreciate.
