Nobody does it like XG. Literally. Your reaction is 100% warranted - and pretty much the same as everyone else's. This was pre-debut! Anyone who saw this before they debuted was incredibly hyped, and rightly so. And, because they have demonstrated that they can d a n c e - they are attracting some of the most innovative and creative choreographers. The choreographers give them things that they couldn't do with other groups. I don't dance, but I can recognize talent, and I know that they put in the work. They don't call a choreo ready until they can do it in their sleep - watch their dance practices and see how comfortable they are and how much fun their having. It is literally unreal.
I only got into this 'IDOL' thing because of XG - they got me in a choke hold man. They are badasses. I mean nobody can tell that they are just 'hyped' - these pre debut content are the testament to their talent. They are the real deal. Thank you so much for reacting to them. Keep em coming.
During these Move videos, I think their age was between 16-19. I mean Chisa just turned 21 this January. It’s amazing how aggressive they are on Move 1 and 3 but can very smooth with 4. Especially Hinata and Juria doing some burpee moves behind Cocona on Move 1 and 3. They can be labeled as a dance group but gawd damn they can sing and rap.
Yes, Jurin was literally a model in Japan representing a few brands. She was also a pro snowboarder! No joke, her parents were avid snowboarders. Now she's in XG. She's only 20 years old!

They are a Japanese girl group based in Korea from xgalx a sub label from avex, a Japanese company. The ceo of xgalx is Simon jakops former member of sec Gen group daltm. And the avex ceo admitted they created xg for surfing on kpop success by having a girl group with the kpop formula. They are question whenever or not they belong to kpop or not, personally I put them in the "kpop adjacent" realm like wayv niziu.

Jurin, Maya, Kokona, Harvey, Chisa and Juria are all AVEX artist academy students. Oh i almost forgot Hikaru from Kep1er is also AVEX artist academy student. People think only trainees have that hip hop swag. People need to look more into who and what AVEX breeds in the academy. People don't know because Japan has always bring closed off their music industry to cater Japan only and their copyright laws are a pain. To understand why XG debuted in Korea you need to know and understand Japanese copyright laws.

Exactly the same thoughts when I first saw move1 and move3. They are really professional dance crew level. And after their individual dance performances and move4. I have the personal same standouts with Jurin my no.1 and Cocona my no.2 with their dance technicality and musicality. And totally true the gap between them are so so small, it’s almost like a personal preference. Jurin’s freestyle streetdance/hiphop piece is just totally my style with so much groove sass and swag and it looks effortless, Cocona’s hiphop is very unique which I dig, so cool. But each member deserve credit. I haven’t seen any other girl group like the level of XG. Even better their music direction 90s hiphop and RnB is the direction I totally dig and completely my personal taste. Also the 7 members blend so well together, it’s just a perfect harmony.
