Scumbogg's Vision will be our first narrative campaign set to be played on our Old World Campaign map. It tells the tale of an Orc Shaman with visions of an old artifact to Mork and/or Gork buried away in the lands surrounding Bretonnia.
This video goes over the details of the campaign as well as starting off the first few moves.

@@karlthompsonpwns I’ll definitely throw it in, never considered the weatherman aspect while I recorded like this!
For faction magic items, you could make them purchasable by the faction for some type of resource and if they are captured they can be treated as loot so the capturing faction has more resources to use as they please.
I really like the approach to keep it simple at first and do not got lost in resource management. I am really interested in a campaign ruleset focusing on story telling via a world map. Hope you make the rules available.
Map looks amazing, I bought some of these files and can't wait to print then out for my D&D world. Can't wait to see this campaign idea take off. Good luck guys 💪

2 suggestions
Suggestion 1. If a commander replacement is needed due to dying
Special Rule “Field Promotion” = A replacement model becomes general:
I would replace them in the following order depending on availability:
1. Wizard
2. Standard bearer ( they inherit a low rank generals stats but same basic equipment as previous general and another model takes over the standard bearers stats)
3. Unit Champion (inherits the entry level general stats and previous generals basic equipment
Suggestion 2. If a Character- General, Wizard, or other other survive the battle Special Rlue “I ain’t dead yet” they continue on with an injury or improvement via a table roll similar to Mordheim

So excited for this. I love total war warhammer and grew up on old fantasy. Finally at a point where I can play these kind of games myself. Might have to use this for my local group.
Always loved the Idea of a campaign and love to follow it and hear what you want to improve
The empire would probably start with a small core of knights and state troops with militia being raised swiftly
Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Campaign rules are hard:
You want the larger campaign to impact battles and vice versa, but still have individual battles to be fun. Then you want to have everybody to ideally be able to play every campaign round (or step, intervall, whatever) but still be able to take a break. You want players to be able to pick their battles, but to not always fight in the same pairings. So having battles being dictated by map position and tracking army locations can be ifffy. Good luck with all of that!
For a total war inspired system, particularly the second point (who plays how often) is gonna be particularly difficult. Some players may not get engagements, whilst others may have to play A LOT of battles.
As a kid i used to dream about doing something like this!

One minor thought: the cites and such being mostly the same color as the terrain make them a bit hard to see and appreciate. They could use a little brightening/profiling!
WOOOOOO Old World! Lord I need to finish rebasing and painting my Dwarfs.
One way to make faction items available could be to only have them in the territories that those factions are native to. If you lose them they will be lost to that location until they can be searched for again at a later date.
where can we found the rules of your campaign ?
Presumably they're going by Mighty Empires, you can find the pdf around the internet, with some house rules they're currently testing.
Luka said the rules are on their website, but I didn't see them in it. Maybe I was looking at the wrong place, but /tools-and-rules/campaign-rules-and-resources/ seemed like the place to look.

Do you have someone seperate controlling the campaign like a GM?
Potential ideas to add; ambushing (armies may move and then have there tokens noted by GM but removed from the map, could be a beast men Special.
Also; potentially army facings? Like encampment makes it so you can’t be ambushed, but perhaps once your done moving you pick a facing, and the tile your facing and the two adjacent to it are “forward” and your more prepared for attacks vs someone able to move behind you in the back 3 tiles and get an advantage? (Like maybe a few units in ambush/reserves w.e)???

A fun narrative campaign would be a group of quest knights searching for the grail.

Weird thought on faction specific magic items: if it is stolen and the new faction can't use it they can turn it into a trophy on a banner and get some kind of bonus. Maybe hatred against that faction for the unit?
This was an idea I had just for that!!

Gotrek and Felix has a bunch of novels, each touching on a different factions/location in the Warhammer World.
Question. Where on the map is the river of discarded Ruby rings? I think I know someone who that might be a priority for :P
