Sadly, he's not great at it. He's doing commentary on either Superstars or Saturday Night.. one of the little shows. I saw he was commenting and was incredibly exciting, but I was very sadly let down.
He's doing commentary on one of the small shows.. Superstars or Saturday Night or something like that. I tuned in and got REALLY excited when I saw him, but it's just.... bad. Makes me sad. He was legit my favorite for most of my teenage years. My IRC handle was Road Doggy Dogg for longer than he used that gimmick.
Glad to see him doing well. Some people these days don't understand the long-term awesome impact him and Billy had on us. Two weeks ago my sister in law told me a story I didn't know about and she goes oh.. you didn't know!? And my brother and I at the same exact time go "Yo ass bettah caaall somebodaaaaayyyyy". She looked so puzzled 🤣 Outlaws forever
This is great. Seeing the guy we have now is amazing. It's always inspiring to see someone who's been through a lot of stuff and gained a ton of wisdom.
Road Dogg Jesse James and Chris Van Vliet. The interview I could listen to forever. Road Dogg is an fantastic talker and is humble, plus Chris Van Vliet is a great interviewer. Put them together and it's magic 🥰
This video put a smile on my face, but also made me feel very old. I used to watch Brian's dad, Bob Armstrong, wrestle back in the mid-70's. While Dusty Rhodes was the biggest name in Florida at the time, the guy who got the second biggest pop at the Orlando Sports Stadium was Bob Armstrong. If you interview Brian again, I'd be interested in hearing him share some stories about his dad.
For me, I think The Rock would've been cool with Road dogg. Rock seems quite a genuine guy and not one to hold onto a grudge. I doubt he even hated RD. Glad to see RD looking good and healthy, and owning his past.
I'm so glad to hear from Road Dogg. He made a huge mark on his family history. I know he made his dad proud. And thanks for being a United States Marine.
@@ChrisVanVliet Man, what a great talker he still is, must have been one of your easier interviews. :) Seems like he´s really a honest and funny guy, I didn´t see him like this before. Great job as always!
miss ya Brian, glad you are clean and sober Brother.. Been way too long since living in Sanity. Think of you often and always smile, we made some great music.
I’m a huge Armstrong family fan. Road Dogg should be teaching the writing teams how to present believable personal issues using his father’s promo footage as examples. Wrestling needs that realism of a babyface explaining to you how he’s going to get his revenge with confidence and fire 🔥.
Love Road Dogg. As a kid I used to do they’re entrance and the rocks catchphrases all the time. I was always laying the smackdown or oh you didn’t know’in everywhere we went. My parents were probably so embarrassed oh well
Man putting my all into a show and having it deadpanned would probably make me drink like Jeff hardy too. Hope Jeff turns out like road dogg when he's the same age. We can all overcome.
I notice a lot of wrestlers over 50 end up with gravely voices. I wonder if it's the loud talking on the mic. 17 minutes into the interview and I really like Brian. Seems to be a humble man. Something to aspire to.
My two favorite guys Chris and Brian! The New Age Outlaws are my favorite tag team. “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. Degeneration X proudly brings to you the TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORRRRLLD! The Road Dogg Jesse James! The Badass Billy Gunn! THE. NEW. AGE. OUTLAWS! 🎙
I kind of feel bad now, because I really enjoyed the VKM times as well and he said that was a horrible time for him. But I was looking forward to it every show.
You know he could easily be brought in to manage the Gunn Club and it would be a really interesting dynamic given the current storyline is where their dad chose to side with the Acclaimed🤔
*OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW? YOUR ASS BETTER CALL CVV!!* LLLLLLLLadies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, today, CVV proudly brings to you a chat with 1 half of it's six time WWE *TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WOOOOORLD!* The Road Dogg Jesse James, The Badass Chris Van Vliet, *The NEW. CHAT. OUTLAWS!*
Absolutely love Road Dogg.. I quote them all the time.. As a wrestling fan since age 5 when I can remember going to Dallas to the Sportatorium and Will Rogers.. I've watched wrestling thru the ages.. As a adult now. I've met some wrestlers thru the ages. I remember one time a few yrs ago I had the opportunity to meet one of my fav wrestlers. Only to have my bubble busted.. Anyways I can I listen to Road Dogg's podcast
With the current Ass Boys story right now, with Billy siding w/ Acclaimed, have the Gunn Club go on a serious run, less waky stuff, and change their tag team names. Then in a PPV Billy can ask "What's with the change of attitudes " or something to that nature, and after a brief silence we hear... "OH you didn't know!?".
I can totally relate to the part where she says that's not who his mom and dad raised That's a different person than who his mom and dad raised That's the realest shit ever especially in my recovery That's all I feel 🐕🐕 🐕
As Kurt Angle says, it starts to control your life to the point where it makes you do shameful things that even the drugs are struggling to numb the feelings of guilt when you start lying, and even stealing from friends and family just to get the hit you need, something you would have seen as unimaginable and unforgivable to do .. Before you became an addict
Chris, if you ever do another interview with him, please ask Road Dogg if his braided hair was fake. Saw some chatter online that it went from short to long braids within a month. Need to know, ty
We knew he was jealous of the rock when he tried to say triple h was better than the rock which everyone universally knows isn’t true all of the kliq was jealous of the rock
This just continues to prove my point on whats wrong or needs to be changed, if WWE and aew done away with guaranteed contracts it would force these current talent to get themselves over, and if not you don't make money! This change would weed out the talent who can't, and propel the talent that can. If this happens, change happens for the better, this is the answer. I'll take the acknowledgements now! One common line I hear from the attitude era and those 83 weeks WCW was big, they all cared more cause if they didn't, they didn't get paid. I'd challenge vinnymac and tony Khan to do this, it's really the only way you can guarantee talent won't get complacent and put out crappy shit, cause if they do, you won't be around long enough. Think about it, it's the only change that will help.
It was better for the establishment to have the boys fighting over the spots, the need a divided locked room, because otherwise they might even try to unionize and get some actual rights
Chris please have me on the show, I can help the wrestling business in big ways, I just need a platform to share it with others who really want wrestling to succeed.
Just thought of a great new UA-cam show, Brian James and fam adventures of running the goat and pig farm and his funny self everyday. They already have shows on youtube just like that but they don't have the Dogg
The thing that is bugging me is what happened to Road Doggs partner who looked like Road Dogg, was about twice his size, but had dark hair in a mohawk and a rat tail in the back? I liked that guy. It was not Billy Gunn. He had an announcement sort of like Road Dogg and a gap in his front teeth. I cant find anything on him. I think Billy Gunn came out with him later and they Called it the New Age Outlaws. Was it Billy? I don’t think so because the first guy was a little plump.
Ma’am with me and my brother were kids I used to pretend I was the road dog Jesse James and he used to pretend to be the bad ass billy Gunn that was fucking awesome
@Chris Van Vliet thanks more than you will ever know for having BG on your show. The “Armstrong” family have been a great family and deserve all the blessings life brings them. From the Bullet, Brad, Steve, Scott and Brian they were/are all stand up gentlemen. We have all faced storms in life but it how you rebuild after the storm that makes you a man or a wuss. Thanks BG much respect from one Gucci Zaddy to the next much love bro.
Brian James is a great worker and I had 2 really great matches that he called! RIP Bullet Vince won't be havin us follow him. I'm to busy following Yeshua of Nazareth
This was a fantastic conversation. Fun parts, brutally honest and vulnerable parts, educational parts. Thanks to both of you!
Man, the New Age Outlaws were just amazing. Loved being a young teen during the attitude era. 🤟🤟
Damn right!! Nothing like that time.
This might be my favorite wrestling interview he is just so tangible, and relatable. Road Dogg should be on commentary somewhere.
He would be a great replacement for Jim Ross
Sadly, he's not great at it. He's doing commentary on either Superstars or Saturday Night.. one of the little shows. I saw he was commenting and was incredibly exciting, but I was very sadly let down.
Roaddogs signature lines would always make me pop like crazy
How is Road Dogg not a manager somewhere. Would be great in that role.
He's doing commentary on one of the small shows.. Superstars or Saturday Night or something like that. I tuned in and got REALLY excited when I saw him, but it's just.... bad. Makes me sad. He was legit my favorite for most of my teenage years. My IRC handle was Road Doggy Dogg for longer than he used that gimmick.
just got chills when he said oh you didnt know
Glad to see him doing well. Some people these days don't understand the long-term awesome impact him and Billy had on us.

Im always saying that shit. Lol over 20 years later and they still have an impact
She didn't have the Jam.
I love Brian. So proud of him on his sobriety. The podcast is going awesome.
Thanks for taking the time to watch it!
@@ChrisVanVliet no problem. Finishing up the Kong one now.
Road Dogg is VERY talented on the mic! He needs go into the HOF by himself! 🤙🏽
Even as a heel, he could get the crowd fired up. Quite talented.
hof by himself? STOP IT BRO LOL you pushing it bro
Wouldn't even be right if he got inducted without Billy

This episode has me being a MARK for a full HOUR!!! Road Dogg was in my top 5 favorite wrestlers of the attitude era!!!

Such a honest conversation
Met him and Billy in Liverpool at a convention in 2022, they were great guys, so funny
If you ever thought you couldn’t love the dogg anymore than you already did just watch this.
It makes me feel really good to hear Brian testify. It's also a great interview by CVV. Congrats to both!
These guys entertained us week in and week out and its great to see how the likes of Brian and others are doing well now
For me, I think The Rock would've been cool with Road dogg. Rock seems quite a genuine guy and not one to hold onto a grudge. I doubt he even hated RD. Glad to see RD looking good and healthy, and owning his past.
Loving these interviews with nostalgic guys, I keep hoping for malakai black.

As a huge fan of AEW I can say that he definitely needs to be hired by them. He could really spice up Rampage since Taz is on Dynamite now.
No
