I now have a free roam bunny in less than a week, he's 6 months old and hopefully he'll warm up to more interaction from humans... he mostly still hides from us but is beginning to come out more.. thanks for your content... I've learned so much

Until his evil owner (me completely worried about him) got him out and tried to dry him, while he was trying to get back into the water. He was always acting sassy with me because I didn't let him...What a weirdo, I loved him. 🐰❤️

Sophie Anderson my vet told me to bath my rabbit in shallow water every other month because my rabbit is 7 but my rabbit seems pretty relaxed and doesn’t try to get out but if she did we would stop it also we use very shallow water
Hi There Just because the rabbit doesn’t try to get out doesn’t mean it’s fine to bath them. They can go in shock and be paralyzed. NEVER bath your rabbit under any circumstances. Even if it’s shallow, they can still get hypothermia and go in shock. That vet clearly doesn’t know what they’re talking about. If you really need to bath your rabbit, use a slightly damp cloth, do not ever soak your rabbit in water..

I think you misinterpreted the one where he puts the bunny in the oven. The joke isn't that "rabbits are food", the joke is that he has 2 rabbits, one is lighter which he pretends to put in the oven, and then pulls the one with black patches like he's a burnt loaf.
I doubt the creator had any bad intentions in mind, people do that with cats and dogs.
For example, when cats sit in this kind of position where they put their paws underneath, they are called "loafs", not because they are food, but because they look life a loaf of bread like that, and it's cute.
I understand if you don't find it funny, I didn't exactly laugh at that either, but I seriously doubt it was supposed to be anything but a harmless, silly joke.

My rabbit is free roamed and I literally use that small cage from the pet store for a litter box
My friend does the same. She used to keep her bunny (Dippy) in a cage that size, he's now been upgraded to free roam. She just didn't know better when she bought Dippy, and the pet store recommended a cage that size.

Mine both free roam and we use the bottom of a hamster cage that you could take apart for one litter box and a second is an old storage container.

In my country it is relatively common to eat rabbit. I personnally don't think it is that big of a deal. I completely understand that it is to vegans/vegetarians, though. But as a meat eater I don't differenciate between pets and livestock. That would be some kind of dysphoria. I've also owned a rabbit as a pet in the past and obviously bounded with it. I wouldn't have thought of eating it because of that special bond, but not inherantly because it was a rabbit. That is a lame thing to suggest to a rabbit owner. And they absolutely don't taste like chicken

Cows are very social! And far more intelligent than we give them credit for!! Pigs are rly sweet too and chickens have suCH personalities! @@anniemcmahon6778 I am actually a flexitarian for environmental reasons. I eat meat once or twice a week and eggs or dairies everyday for health reason because I generally have trouble keeping on weight and it was recommanded by my nutritionist. Otherwise, I think I would be a vegetarian. Vegan is way harder to do and I respect that commitment a lot. However, I personally don't mind eating animals that have been well treated, but I was raised to respect meat and seeing it more as Sunday family meal than as an everyday indulgence. I think people treat it as a disposable item nowadays, but my family had a farm with livestock and given all the work and care that goes into raising animals, you get the notion that meat shouldn't be left in the fridge to expire or trashed because you're not hungry anymore.

When I was in first grade my teacher had a free roaming rabbit at home (surprisingly progressive for the time as this was nearly 20 years ago) somehow the rabbit ending up getting into some cleaning chemicals and needed an emergency bath. She took the rabbit to the vet for the bath because she knew it was risky to bathe them. They kept the bunny overnight for observation and my teacher came to school in tears because she was so worried about her pet. Luckily the bunny survived and lived to be 9 years old. Please don’t bathe your bunnies!!!! It’s not necessary and can cause harm. Only bathe if it is a complete emergency and even then it should be done in a carefully constructed way to avoid shock.

Yeah. My bunny had trouble grooming herself, so I bathed her sometimes. Not very often though. I had to surrender her because we were moving across the country and I didn’t want to put her through that stress. She got adopted again a week and a half after we surrendered her, and now lives as a free time bunny :)

I mean slowing it down I didn't see any hands or skin, so the person couldn't have touched the rabbit. I assume what really happened was that the bunny tried to jump out, slipped on the edge of the tub and jumped back in and the person just got surprised and jumped back as well

i give my bunny timothy hay, veggies, fruits, and sometimes pellets, but I never give him a lot of pellets because i try to give him a balanced diet, Lennon is so lucky to have such a caring mom, and i am very sad for the bunnies who live in such horrid homes. i also did my research for about 1 and a half years on bunnies and how to take care of them, I gave him a huge cage, and Im really happy when i see him so happy!! :)

A lot of these “rabbit cages” are too small for a hamster much less a rabbit!
rabbits actually like living in small spaces, as they live in barrows in the wild. I do think that they should have enough room to move around, of course, but they do prefer smaller spaces. I have owned rabbits in the past btw

I’m sorry we used to shower my rabbit and dry it by using a hair dryer and he was really scared but we didn’t know and when I saw you say that rabbits taking a shower is dangerous we immediately stopped
we also dried it with a hair dryer and it still died 😭😭😭😭i ddnt know it died bcz of the shower ..i got another one and bathed it and it died too 😭😭i was 8 yrs old with no one to guide me and no internet at that time ...and thankfully i got the idea that they died bcz of the shower ...the third bunny bcz of being alone i guess...after that i got a wild pair of bunnies and let them roam freely eat fresh grass and make their house in mud and they multiplied so quickly ..!! and now i have 80 rabbits 💓its like a rabbit heaven 💓

I bet a large amount of them are suffering and I guarantee you are not regularly grooming all of them and trimming their nails or getting them all desexed. I never clicked so fast in my life! The first two things I learned about rabbits was to never bathe them and to not put them in a cage. Some of these Tik toks seriously make me cringe!

We found a lost house bunny and we had no problem free roaming her because she’s the sweetest bun ever!! She hasn’t chewed ANY of our many wood chairs or walls or wires since she got here!? I’m amazed how behaved she is and I hope she enjoys living with us
2 month update: still the sweetest bun ever and she’s gotten used to us so fast, she’s even comfortable enough to sleep in my lap❤️❤️
The bunny: This is a free estate
We also found an abandoned house bunny and he has no problem being free roaming with us! He doesn't chew anything except for charging cables for our phones or headphones which we quickly learned to keep tucked away! He is a Rex Silver Martin and we hope he loves living with us!

My rabbit used to live in the pet store cages when I first got him. BUT NOWWWWWWW he lives in a play pen a bunch of toys so much food lots of water and lots of hay!

you definitely need more recognition because you are one of the best informational rabbit owners I’ve ever seen. I have a 7 year old rabbit and I’ve been making many mistakes in the past like not giving enough hay, not getting him neutered, not learning how to potty train, but because he’s already 7 and deserves the best of the best and you’ve taught me so much on how to create a better environment for him.
I’m still learning but I want to help with stopping rabbit stereotypes so please tell me if there’s any ways I can.
I’m still a minor (15) yet I have huge dreams of being a public speaker for animal rights if anyone knows what I can do to help please let me know ^^

I might get a rabbit for my birthday or Christmas and each second and minute I'm not in school/doing home work/doing chores it's all BUNNY RESEARCH I'm going to get them a dog pen, FOR REALLY BIG DOGS!!!!! And also gonna get them a bunch of toys and hay with fiber and gonna get them alot of lettuce and a soft bed and litter box, also a bunch of hidey holes and towels for digging ^^ is this good for a rabbit?

3:33 depending on your breed of rabbit you have to bathe them. For example the, long haired breeds they may get their coats dirty and needs bathed, and even though that rabbit was not a long haired breed he seemed to have been a short haired breed that needs and bath once every season, although they should have done it in a sink.
Also your rabbit might get smelly and need to have a shampoo also you can get a shampoo that is designed to be for rabbits

When I was younger I use to have my rabbit swim with me. Now i look back on it and feel like a terrible person. Needless to say I definitely don't do it anymore! I feel like these people don't intentionally harm their rabbits. They just need to learn more about them.

Paws Up Weekly when I was younger I thought you could bath hamsters but I did my research and learned. It’s the fact that people don’t want to take 10 minutes to educate themselves, it’s even bad to bath a dog more than 1 time a week.

@@boyinblue. yeah the only times you should ever "bathe" a hamster, is if they've gotten things stuck in their fur they cant get out and need the assistance, especially if they're sick. But you shouldn't actually bathe them and probably just wipe the area that's messy with a very damp paper towel. But only if it's really needed.

right. it took me 11 years to get my own cat and i did so so so much research, it makes me upset when people just buy a pet one day and then dont care about the costs and how to take care of it
yeah before and after i got my pets i did research. If I didn't know what to do I would research before I did anything possibly harmful such as bathing my rabbit or feeding it different foods.

I got my bunny quickly but I still did so much research and tryed to get as much information as possible and I'm lucky enough to have 2 people that work in a vet hospital college in my family to be clear the reason I got her quickly is because a friend needed to rehome her and was afraid to give her to a stranger and i like bunnies anyway and like helping and wanted my own furry child so i took her in and keep my friend updated with cute pictures

I googled should I bathe my rabbit, she is extra dirty, she loves the dust pan, jumping in my garbage, spilling things on herself then laying down lazily and not bathing herself, I made sure my house was warm, plus it was like 100 degrees out, she dried COMPLETELY in less than three hours, she was perfectly fine. I have never had a problem bathing her and she never fought me or freaked out. It's literally a 10 second bath and she goes from looking filthy to clean, if I left her filthy it would be more irresponsible. She's a lion lop.

Now I am depressed that it had to endure such horrible fate. I am a bunny owner and I love rabbits it hurts to see other bunnies get hurt.
