I'm glad you got to experience what I grew up doing and loving so much! We always boiled ours whole. Anyway, now I much prefer fishing the Gulf (Louisiana) but dropping pots for Dungies is straight up AWESOME!! As one of your first followers, it's truly AWESOME seeing how much you keep expanding-and you've been eclectic from the beginning! Endlessly proud of you Emily & Amanda, Twinning is Winning!!! NEXT TIME WEAR NEOPRENE FISHING GLOVES!! Keep your hands TOTALLY warm!! I spent many happy hours sitting by big driftwood bonfires with family & friends! The only thing missing is bottom bouncing & catching a big lingcod, and a pod of orcas going by your boat!
Who ever disliked this is probably just jealous they can't do everything these two girls do and if he or she dislikes them so much why don't they just quit watching great job girls keep em coming
Love DUNGYS ! Most of the CASINOS on the BILOXI gulf coast have them nightly ! Outstanding Video, it's always fun to watch someone do something for the first time !! 🤘👁️👁️🤐
I love the PNW videos. Come visit us more often. Yeah, that’s the kind of crab pots we expect on the west coast. It’s crazy that you get so few rock crab after a week soak. If we don’t have full pots after an overnight, we’re moving. Also, if you find yourself over here again and it’s possible, check out Oregon. They have better fishing and crabbing regulations.
Ah glad you had a great time. It reminds me of growing up in Alaska. I have not been crab fishing in forever. You two should do more northern fishing. Especially fly fishing, that is a lot of fun up in the northwest! I live in Florida as well now.
Great video, great scenery, great fishing, great idea for future, travel-fishing-eating episodes. Thanks for taking us along. Special thanks to Batson for putting it together! I am going to look for your products!
Amanda, Emily this video was very enjoyable and informative on how to catch and pre / cook . You guys were having fun. Stay safe and awesome always #AFANALWAYS
So awesome!Teaching different ways of local differences. We could be fishing pros here and total novices in a Florida with the Gale Twins. I’m so jealous of there weather and wish I could fish a center console and speargun instead of having to have a heater in the cab.
Love the video! Kerry and Bill are good guys for sure. I fished with and around those guys for the last 15 years or so while I was stationed in Washington with the navy! The whole batson team and products are just killer. I don't build anything other than batson/rainshadow stuff! I am excited to be back in the SE, but defiantly miss the PNW. Maybe I'll run into you gals out on the water, I fish out of Stuart and Ft. Pierce now! Home sweet home!
Love your videos. You always look like you're have so much fun, even when you're uncomfortable. I can't wait for the fishing season to begin here in NY. In the meantime, I live vicariously through your vids to help me get through the non-fishing months. Thanks for keeping me company;)
LOL, I see that Guy who follows every video to give a dislike before it even starts has already disliked. He or she has some real issues as these videos are awesome
I miss crabbing! Grew up in San Francisco Bay Area and in the old days we would go crabbing right under the golden gate bridge! not possible since 9/11 but those were the days! Dungenes Crab is the best!
Ahhhh.... Dungeness... when I lived there back in the 60's and 70's, we would wait until minus level low tides and wade those flats inside the spit where you were placing those pots and we would pick up the crabs off the bottom.. this was done at night because the minus tides were in well after dark in December and Jan... we used a simple tool like a broom stick with a loop of copper at the end.. when you spotted a crab in the light from your lantern, you'd put your tool like you were trying to scoop him up and he'd do to that ring like he did to your thumb and just pick him up and shake him into a tub that we floated on the surface as we walkeed along... it was so cool... took about 30 to 40 minute of this to get out personal 10 crab limit... then back home and cook them!!!!
Co-captains, you're both a breath of fresh air... love your enthusiasm, also that your so open too new experiences... If you have not yet tried 'Sauger' , a very cold weather game species? Do a little research, it could possibly be another new challenge? There's an amazing fishery in Mid-TN., Ky Lake at the Duck River entrance. IMO? It's a better taste than any other fish, including shellfish, yes, it's that tasty.... Thank you for sharing ladies. And always stay who you are, blessed Thanksgiving's too you an yours.
I see a cup of Starbucks LOL. You must be so cold., coming up from Florida. WOW!!! I love the seals and all the things you show. That drift wood would do a lot of damage. WOW all those craps!!!!! Looks yummy and enjoying the company. Thank you for sharing
I wished i could have seen it earlier. Keep up the good work. My dad and i have a 23 foot robalo and we go to catalina island in california. Im nine and still persisting but hope on day i can live in florida.
Not sure if you are near Seattle, but if you are, you should hit Rays boathouse grill. On the water, great place. You al could not handle oysters, you should go dig and eat geoduck clams
Glad you had a great time on our coast but I have a question for you two. What do you think about how we view seals and the role they play in our salmon runs? They are cute though. Also glad you got to sample our great seafood.
I was out there 15 years ago and we stayed in a house on top of sunset hill. We were within walking distance of Rays boat house grill. When you looked west, there were a ridge of high mountains. I wonder how many pounds of Salmon, the girls flew home to Fla. You had a great view of Mount Rainier from their roof. You could understand why Seattle would be in real trouble if it blew like mount Helan.
BTW, pretty much everyone I know who's done a lot of crabbing has had a thumbnail literally "popped" by a large Dungeness claw LOL! I know I had my left nail totally split many moons ago! Also, you got lucky with the shallow drops, depending on season, we've gone to the 130s-140s near Everett! (we had a Scotty pot hauler plugged into a downrigger!) So ANyway you're officially official, WITHOUT splitting your thumbnail!
FYI if a crab grabs any part of you in it's claw DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL IT OFF! it will only tighten it's grip, instead RELAX BREATH DEEP it will let go once it realizes you too big to eat.
Just remember that the reason why you catch them is to cook them up and sit around the table picking them boiled or steamed or cooking them up in some good recipes and the best part of the video is eating them and most of y'all are not showing the eating parts why❓
Girls you need to get yourselves some blue crabs from the Chesapeake Bay. Blue crabs taste wonderful. Dungeness crabs have little taste. Even west coast Red Crabs are better than Dungeness. Note that the crab your after is spelled DUNG geness.
Congratulations on the bunch of dung Crabs and wonderful trip
Wow ! Loved it girls. Those Salmon ... on your first time ..... Insane. That crabbing looked Sooooo much fun. Nice one. x
another Awesome video Ladies! Thank you sharing!

Well done, Amanda and Emily! Another great adventure. We learned a lot and laughed when they got you to eat kelp. Can't wait for Episode 3.
Love DUNGYS ! Most of the CASINOS on the BILOXI gulf coast have them nightly ! Outstanding Video, it's always fun to watch someone do something for the first time !! 🤘👁️👁️🤐
Nice crab haul, good day. Loved the salmon fishing vid, gettin’ it done!
Wow that was crazy. Glad y’all got the opportunity to catch huge salmon and crabs. I bet they were good eatin.👍👍

Yup, haters gonna hate. These videos are pure awesome. The person who leaves the thumbs down is someone that wishes they could be like them.

My favorite crabs!!
Great video ladies. God bless and tight lines.
Thank you :)
All that crab roe 🥲
Always love your videos and adventures!
It's funny, as soon as I have seen you clothed up like that, ha ha, you are here on our west coast!
The Pacific Northwest looks like an amazing adventure!! Would love to visit there one day. #GotCrabs #BucksHens #PNW
Its awesome here. Wonder where exactly this was filmed
It is so cool that you're in my neck of the woods! I would love to fish with you some time!
Not sure if you are near Seattle, but if you are, you should hit Rays boathouse grill. On the water, great place. You al could not handle oysters, you should go dig and eat geoduck clams
about 2 hrs west of Seattle
Glad you had a great time on our coast but I have a question for you two. What do you think about how we view seals and the role they play in our salmon runs? They are cute though.

Hey, new subscriber here! Really enjoying the videos of your adventures.
Hey! Thanks for joining we are so happy you’re here 😁
The kelp you testing actually need to dry out first, It's for making soup. It's one of the Chinese favorite recipe.
That’s so cool, I wish I knew that!
Great trip
Very good video 😊
Awesome 🤙
You two should probably think twice about any ice fishing invitations.
Vn adventurous video. 😋
loved it
Welcome to Sequim! I like how its seals, and us locals are like crap salmon eating rats are around us again.
Great video. Looks way to cold for my taste
You were in my neighborhood. Although I am leaving here and moving your way. I need sunshine and different fish.
How do y'all like the bog boots? I learned about that brand while working in AK.
We like them! We bought them while in Washington as we realized our Florida gear wasn’t going to be good enough lol
17 Ft for Dungeness? Oregon or Canada, eh? Great vid!
where did you catch the crabs?
At 11:18 two escaped right out the door when the cage was pulled up.
What are “king and silver salmom”? (In your description)
Chinook are also known as kings. Coho are also known as silvers. Either name is widely used and acceptable in this area.
@@aaronclark9941 I know what those are. But it says “salmom”.
The heads of the Crab 🦀 is good eating
Hows your finger is it still bruised?
Definitely still bruised! It’s actually looking worse now 👀 at least I still have my finger nail
What kind of boat do y’all have?
What kind of boat do y’all have
im from indonesia i like it
WWE moves on the crab...LMAO
Sees driftwood where seals live and thinks Mahi I like your style
I saw two crabs escape on the way up in the second pot
I know 😂
Sorry, I was actually rooting for those two that got away :-)

A little inside baseball at 11:18. Whoops!
Mantap sifu
Maybe they had trouble launching the boat because of all the extra weight in it.
All the commercial crab fishermen are going to start wearing dip nail polish.
😂😂 that would be hilarious
Wear some cottton gloves for warmth , then a leather glove over it to stay dry :)
did they just boil crabs with no seasoning
To bad the nail biting episode wasn't on camera! Or was it? Sorry girls but I love the three stooges type of humor.
No it wasn’t but I wish it were! That would’ve been crazy to watch!
🥰🥰🥰😍😍
I live in florida
Wasting the crab tamale in my family is punishable by death. Lol it’s awesome with freshly baked bread.
FYI if a crab grabs any part of you in it's claw DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL IT OFF! it will only tighten it's grip, instead RELAX BREATH DEEP it will let go once it realizes you too big to eat.
First, but not first cause 2 kids can't be first. 😑
Find a shark's tooth on the beach. Or Spit
Just remember that the reason why you catch them is to cook them up and sit around the table picking them boiled or steamed or cooking them up in some good recipes and the best part of the video is eating them and most of y'all are not showing the eating parts why❓
The males have a lighthouse and the females have a beahive.
eeeeeee!
