Enjoyed this video Ricky. I started out on a Fatboy, enjoyed it for 2 yrs and then the ultra limited and never looked back. Current ultra limited with a stage 4. Love it...
Ricky, that was good stuff. Dig the talk around exhaust, tires, cams, seats based on our riding. It’s very important to not get caught up in logos, brands based on every channel peddling parts and equipment are thee best, which many don’t pay for, and might not even have the same riding style. It’s interesting and a good education from others to learn what your options are, then go pick out what you like; not what someone sponsored is telling you is the best… may very well be at times the best option, but you have to go lay hands on stuff to see what you like. Hey helmets might be a great topic. Man I’ve ridden Softails & baggers for years, big road trips, nasty ass weather at times, with just a bandana on my head. I still love that style, but I plan to dial in a helmet to have and not push my luck. Always kinda thought maybe a low-pro beanie, but they are making some badass full face helmets that I’m taking a deeper look into, how quiet they are, my visibility, visors how well they handle weather, or when I flip my visor up, does the wind rip my head up with that visor up, etc.
@@RickyHD Brother I love the helmet/gear idea too. I dig how you drill down on things, and cut the fluff out. I got a chuckle as you were rolling down the highway you had a couple rubes pull up on you and just hang in your blind spot, or couldn’t decide to move on or get the back in line. I’ve had that happen a bunch of times, and it doesn’t make it right, I think what happens is people notice a real bad ass bike, and they become a “spectator”. They’re rolling close JUST to check out the bike, check out what you have, what you did to it, watching you ride it, listening to your exhaust, etc… and forget they’re a liability in traffic at 65, 70 mph…. 🤣 Honestly that’s why I ride a little hard on the interstates, making my own passes knowing nobody is rolling up on me. Always easier to remember everyone you went by, than to guess who’s rolling up from behind.
I started on a 20 fxlrs I love it! An now I'm on a air cleaner, 2 in 1 and just put a s&s 475 cam kit in it!! Perfect bike to start on can't deny that bro!
@@HarleyFatBoyJr I love it man it has good torque output and has a good build on hp at the top of rev range! If you like riding at 3k n up I would recommend it to anyone! An the lop of the idle is sooo good lol!
@@spoom937 bad ass. Definitely need to figure out what I wanna roll with cuz I’m itching to slam some cams in her. Lol. Appreciate the quick response Fam. Ride safe. 🤙🏾🔥
Love these vlogs the Contin is dope as fuck. I rode every day in the Hillsborough County in Manatee County area and not for nothing but I’d love to ride with you bro, so it kind of gives me the opportunity to rails and corners with you vicariously through the videos.
Ricky....you are SPOT ON!!! Everyone is different. I ride with an older crowd and have gotten a lot of grief about mods I have done to my bikes....and I simply tell them, I RIDE DIFFERENT THAN YOU. yeah, I am not old school harley...I am old school SPORTBIKE that happens to be on a Harley. I like performance and ripping into turns while they all like kicking back and cruising....yeah I enjoy that sometimes, but thats not what tickles my no-no spot. I still am a brand whore though...I see all these companies that used to be sportbike only and are now sliding into the Harley scene and I love it. I still rock an Arai helmet and my Harley buddies think I am nutz for dropping big coin on that when in thier minds a 200 dollar helmet is the same exact thing.....sometimes they are, sometimes they arent!! Also I cant agree more on first bike!!! Get a softail before a sportster!! Get something that you can grow into vice take a huge hit on. None of the Harleys are going to have enough power that you are gonna loop the damn thing....just get the one where your feet can touch the ground. THe other thing is, dont get that first bike and buy the most expensive one you can find, as you truly dont even KNOW what kind of bike you like yet....you know what LOOK you like...but once you get on them and put down a few 1000 miles, thats when you will know what kind of rider you actually are....til then you are simply guessing. GREAT VLOG MAN!!!! Only bad thing about Shinko's is following someone who runs them...as they kick up ALL the loose gravel!! LOLZ ROCK ON DUDE!
Bro, quick question: would you do all your engine upgrades, suspension, cam, tuner, exhaust, tires, wheels, get your bike dyno’d, and done BEFORE adding an expensive custom paint job? Up and down on lifts, wrenching here and there, I’d hate to see a paint job get screwed up, although I know we can carefully cover things up. Is there an order you prefer to get all these things done? Thanks Ricky!
It’s really personal preference i did the suspension first, then motor then paint. The paint job won’t get messed up as long as you’re careful when building. The clear coat is pretty resilient. Hope this helps
@@RickyHD perfect, thanks bro. That’s the path I was thinking too. Suspension from the word go, engine upgrades, tires wheels, etc, and finish up in paint. Helps a lot buddy.
Shinkos! 🤘🏼. I had to leave their asses I was going thru a rear every fuckin oil change. Just put a Battlecruise in a 180 size on my dyna. So far so good. We’ll see.
Another dope Vlog and your Zippers preference is further proof you know performance! Future video idea (prob not a good Vlog topic)… You lay down sick paint, so what’s your go to preference when cleaning, waxing, and keeping the paint looking killer?
Sick video bro. What size T-Bars are you running ? I’m thinking of getting a road glide in the next month. Definitely thinking of going with that and the 2 in 1.
Should talk about the Do’s and Dont’s of the road and clubs I saw the 1% tattoo always been into that type of lifestyle would appreciate some insights. Like the videos 🤘

Have you considered adding more merchandise to your website? I’d love to rock a TC chop shop derby cover.

Great video and advice. Keep them coming. As far as an idea, how about motorcycle etiquette for new riders.
That’s a good one. Might actually be next weeks topic with some others thrown in. Thank you

I run 12s. But direct to triple tree. If you’re going to do the pull back plate and want them tall go with 10s.
