Sir you said that electric flux does not depend upon the shape of a surface. So does it mean that even if the surface was a square or any irregular shaped object then also we can use this formula? I am getting confused because we used surface of a sphere while deriving and we also used the property of a circular shaped object that all radii are equal from the centre of the sphere. So is this formula valid for only circular shaped or sphere or is it valid for any shape?

Yes closed shape might be a square as well, it is shape independent.
