To me you are the undisputed goat of 2k basketball. Your teaching us things that we wouldn’t get any other place and now your showing it off in the rec. you are definitely one of the top content creators of this and I hope more people take notice
This means a lot to me man, and I truly appreciate the kind words! I believe I'm still improving as a creator, so I'll just put in the work and the rest should hopefully take care of itself! Hope these videos were helpful bro!
Chris Paul has the best step back animations for me when your not doing a step back from an angle You automatically go into a crossover hezi if u don’t pull the shot so u can cancel out of it gives a better illusion that your shooting to blow past your opponent The angle step back is alright too
I should have included CP3 in the trae young tier, and the Zach Lavine edges out some of those that I mentioned but I was gonna leave him for the next height tier!
@@KevinCruz016yea I watched the one with his spin jumper. I started using it. Recently made a 6’4 guard. So I needed some different non meta animations
@@villah2760I need to make a video for 2k24 but the step back feels fairly similar to 2k23 for Trey Burke. I have a couple vids from 2k23 if you want to see how Trey burkes looks. His step back is the only one I used in 23 and 24. youtube.com/@ZenjiMizukawa?si=ljfC55VNDYFSEnbS
Curry is nice but Chris Paul for some reason really works for me. Going left or right it gives separation. On my 6'7 lockdown I use Jimmy Butler. For bigs Jokic is elite.
I can respect this man, these are just the things that work for me! I always advocate for people finding their style and going with what works for them!
Please make a 6"8 build and give us the same sauce I don't play with small guards. Can you put something together for us bigger builds so we can sauce too 😂
I didn’t see myself turning off the shot meter but ngl it’s definitely better without it. Back to the old 2k days 🔥 I’m shooting better since I turned it off
Kev. I never see you cancel the hop jumpers… ur usually open but maybe a continuation tutorial for when the space isn’t created would be dope. Ik some make you pick up your dribble and other hop jumpers allow you to speed boost out of
Yeah, it feels super smooth, and it's decent at creating space when comboed with the right dribble moves, but just lacks that extra oomph that is needed to get truly effective. Though Davion has that one "it" stepback, everything else is meh, so as a package I find it super overrated.
I been using curry since day one I just hate how the driving wide left normal hold down on right stick step back is random between the quick one and the little bit slower one
Every time I play with a friend at home I go to change my coach defensive settings for my team but it also applies those same settings to his team . Essentially we have to play on the same settings but we have two different teams two different coaches and two different playbooks. How do you fix this? Or do you have any idea? Thanks
@KevinCruz016 The only reason I took off the Steph Curry package on my guard was because of the turbo Step back to the weak hand was so random for me. You would get a slow step back or a lighting quick one that he does run back after the shot. Is there a way to trigger each one manually?

3:50 Thank you, Kevin as you have helped us learn along the way this year! One of the most diverse 2k for shooting fiends 😂
Lets gooooooo!! Always happy to help you guys man!
I’d say a sleep step back would be De’arron fox step back. It’s quick and catches the defense of guard
One of my personal favorites for small guards! I have a few fox videos that showcase his shot creation!
@@KevinCruz016yea I watched the one with his spin jumper. I started using it. Recently made a 6’4 guard. So I needed some different non meta animations
For taller builds (6’10 max)
You definitely wanna try Kevin Huerter step back, his snatch back animations is elite
Ayeeee, this is a nice preview of what I got going for 6"5 and up, but Huerter definitely is a good one, and something that I prefer over Jimmy!
Trey Burke is definitely the best and most separation brother
Trey Burke is pretty insane
It’s your opinion
I swear💯… I been using his since 2k20
Make a video plz

Goat realism gameplays 🫡
Thank you bro!
Ultimate sauce, definitely it improves the responsiveness on my Series X and fluidity of some animation somehow
Haven't made a build under 6'7 since 2K21. But Jimmy Butler is the hill I will die on lol
I respect it 😂

This one is in the works!!
I’m on bigger builds and would argue Jokers is the best in the game. Stephs is good though.
Thank You! more vids like this 💪🏾

Yeah bro, once you get used to it, it's the only way to shoot!
You may be sleeping on trey burke, it has to be one of the easiest to time and creates an open shot most of the time.
Still cooking 😂🔥🔥🔥from day one till now!
Absolutely bro, appreciate all the day ones who've shown support constantly!!

I need Kyle Lowry to really do what I want & you are correct
On a 6’6 i tried trey young but am now using jimmy b
Never used any of what u suggested before so i will be trying da sauceeee
💎
I'll have a different one for 6'5 and above!!!
@@KevinCruz016 whoop whoooooop
Trey Burke deserved a mention
Smooth!! Buckets! Sir Kevin, WhatShooting Form & Release did you use on your player?
Steph Curry and no edits or blends needed!
def need this vid for 6'7 builds too
He’s wild saucy with Zach Lavine
Malik is by far my favorite in the game, I just wish it was a little more versatile.

Im glad you posted this! I was just saying I want to get that one hop gather you are getting consistently with curry! Time to lab! 🧪
Yo Kevin can you do a video on dribble pull ups for guards please? I can find one to go with right now I’m using pro 2
I been using curry since day one I just hate how the driving wide left normal hold down on right stick step back is random between the quick one and the little bit slower one
can you post a tutorial on your most used moves and how to do them in a rec setting
Every time I try to activate these animations I just do a dribble pull up. I don’t understand how you activate these while moving
Every time I play with a friend at home I go to change my coach defensive settings for my team but it also applies those same settings to his team . Essentially we have to play on the same settings but we have two different teams two different coaches and two different playbooks. How do you fix this? Or do you have any idea? Thanks
What about Kyle Lowry?
I like Lowry, but his hidden behind Starter 3 and I still think Steph clears!
Westbrook is nice
He’s one of my underrated gems for sure, just can’t recommend it for everybody!
@@KevinCruz016 yah that’s fair, his hop is explosive so it often catches defenders off guard on some of his animations.
Would you do a dribble pull up? For 6’4 and lower
I will, I'm still playing around a bit, but this is one thing I'm looking at for sure!

Can you tutorial about nba 2k24 arcade sir?
Kyrie not saucy?
Make a big pg Cruz and show us the sauce. I have a 6’6 and 6’7.
@ChefCruz what is ur jumper and base?
Try trey burk its fire
trae youngs hop has a crazy animation that u didnt show its kind of like a harden stepback
I'm just not a fan of how slow the gather is compared to something like Steph, but they do get fancy!
Is Kyrie pro play on there?
Kyrie's stepback jumpers are already available I think, I'm just not a fan of them because the gather is usually on the slow side
Nothing in the description
The move at around 2:58
Trae Young is also really good
He's fine, I just don't think there's a reason to use it when Steph is there unless you like the wrap around side hop jumper!
@@KevinCruz016 I’ll give it a try! Also you should do this video with taller guards 6’6 to 6’9, great content!
Hop jumpers for 6'5 -6'9 👀🤔🤷🏾♂️
Fax
I’m using Jimmy Butler. Gets a lot of separation and easy to time for my jumpshot
Until devin booker’s drop 🤫
Tyler herro 🔋🔋🔋🔋
JIMMY BUCKETS HOP JUMPER!
I have my thoughts on Jimmy Bucket's hop jumper, but stay tuned for the 6"7/6"8 build!
I use herro on my 6'9 shit money
Drop your jumper
Curry base
JR Smith for 6’5-up. Cam Thomas for small guards
De'Aaron Fox has a nice hop jumper too
