Therapy episodes are my personal favorite moments in Young Justice. It makes the characters confront the fact that they are human in the end.
I mainly liked Garfield/beast boys therapy moments

This show clearly did its homework when studying how therapists think.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they hired a therapist to help them when it comes to the therapy sessions.
Just out of curiosity, is there a specific term to call this "open circle" therapy?
I love the advice Dinah gives there. I've been applying it for myself, and it really does work. It doesn't put too much pressure on the one you're giving the advice/personal experiences to, but still lets them know "this is something that at least worked for my situation, maybe you can take something out of it for yourself"

Yeah, the corgi is a service dog. He's emotionally helping Gar by being there with him at therapy. Gar hugging him when he says "A lot broken" is what helps him say that without making himself feel bad for saying it.
Man the fact we aren't getting more of this show is depressing. They did therapy & mental health so well with this show. It's so rarely touched upon, even if a growing world where it's not as taboo anymore. It could've inspired and helped a lot of people get the help they need but might not know they need it, or are to scared to get it till shown some positives

this was so interesting to see. i've never been to group therapy and always kind of wondered how it worked -- in my head i thought, "but don't i just want the therapist to focus on me, one-on-one? they're the mental health professional." i didn't see the value that this scene illustrated to me -- hearing other's perspectives, sharing and listening as a form of therapy. it looks like the session really helped all involved. (ik this scene may not be representative of all group therapy, but still -- it was helpful to open my eyes to it as a possibility.)

Not really, they all had to move on at some point or another. I mean even aqualad became Aquaman. I mean sure it is a shame but there is nothing we can do about it.

I am aware that changes happen from Universe to Universe, but it's nice that she may have some lived expirence.

Considering she was a victim of a trafficking and slavery ring, it's understandable that she's there with them. Looks like, much like Gar, she admitted to herself that she needed help.

Love this show and everything it stood for I grew up with these characters and they grew up with me
This is what everyone looks forward to when watching a superhero show: Slice of life and mental health sessions.
*Relate your personal experiences but try not to tell others what to do* I know that well. Often we try to help people we care about but they never listen
They don't listen maybe because they don't need cheesy advices you can look up on Google within seconds, but because they just want someone who can feel exactly what they're going through, to relate to them, and to look past their broken pieces and appreciate them for who they are. I would know, there's no one in my life I can relate to, I can confide my experiences with. Some people are just unlucky, I guess.

She's not contemptibly saying "Don't do that it won't work on her". She's saying that they're all there to tell their own stories and connect. Telling someone in pain how to fix their problems, especially ones you don't know all the details about, is presumptuous and will reasonably shut other people down.
It's easy to say 2+2=4. But if you don't know the whole equation being talked about, it can only feel like being talked down to. But saying "this is how I do addition"? That makes room for everyone.

I think beast boy and the dog must have fun walks because, as you know beast boys power is to turn into any animal. So I imagine beast boy turning into a dog and walks with his dog and makes conversation with it.
It’s like Young Justice is reminding people that Beast Boy isn’t the 2003 cartoon, he’s a really tragic character. His backstory is more tragic than Batman’s.

@Will N True, but they both spend a lot of time with their dogs and treat them like family. I met Greg Cipes at Florida Supercon and remember he took his chihuahua everywhere with him, even on the dance floor of the VIP party.
Been to group therapy. It's not the cure-all that media likes to make it. Sometimes, at least in my experience, it makes it worse.

Glad everyone is doing well
I can't belive at the end of season 4 aftet ten years since the failsafe incident that the justice league actually realise how important a persons mental health is and that it takes black lighting being made leader of the justice league at the end of season 3 to make mental health checks mandatory, it really ticked me off how dissmisive the justice league was with the mental health of their former protogies and everyone else basically since many others espcially batman had zero issues manipulating black lighning and the outsiders when trying to figure out the identites of the light and when sinking to their level didn't work and caused rifts with everyone it's only when black lightining gets them to actually work together properly do they find out hence why they make him leader. I just hope if they do a season 5 there are more therapy centers for meta humans AND superheros.

And Mist is a different version from the other as Starman's arch nemesis but I believe she's not a harden criminal, she's very well kind and innocent to be part with the wrong side plus I always had faith for her since season 3.

I'd say to the Islamic lady; you don't have to go along with her, in fact, based on how your faith has reacted to that kind of thing; and no, this's not terror of abusive penalties, but rather the lifestyle itself is harmful to all those who participate in that Hell Lite; you shouldn't go along with her, but, as Abraham van Helsing did in the novel with Vlad Tepes by Bram Stoker, talk her out of such an intrinsically disordered lifestyle.
Part of my sources in this stance is derived from discussions with Islamic friends of mine online; via writing letters, man-to-man as it were; they see the members of the other Abrahamic faiths as their siblings in a sense; well, it naturally follows that talking them out of moving to Hell Lite (Sodom) is a very charitable idea; instead of encouraging them to move to that extremely morally toxic "entechment base" as it were; an "outpost garrison" of Hell itself- the most abusive environment imaginable!

The literal issue here is her being Muslim and her entertaining a Lesbian interest even remotely. Not calling out religion itself here, just the writers even entertaining this plot line. If anyone wonders why this is terrible writing, go see what is done to non straight relationships in homeland countries by their leaders. Honestly baffled at some of the writing in the last few series going on. Overall seems good based on clips.

Anyone find it strange a Mother Box, a super advanced AI created by literal gods, that wound up being inside the dead body human girl having fantastical powers and achieving true sentience accidentally, is going to school?
Idk at the least it seems like an unfair advantage since she’s basically a computer. Her peers, even in the Ivy Leagues, wouldn’t be able to compete with that.

This season was not that great. Too many slow episodes this season. The first story arc, the atlantis arc, were so boring. The other ones weren't much better. The only good one was the second one, I think it was. The rest were just ok with not much of a season long plot like the first 3 had. Also, I don't like being stereotypical, but too much woke stuff. Like there's a line. 2nd season is still the best.
Now this is the Beast Boy I remember.

If this really is the end of Gar's 'depression arc', it will have been massively disappointing. Just feels like they threw these brainless, trope-y solutions at him to get over it. Just seems like they weren't bold enough to have him contend w/ the true depths of depression...or maybe the dialogue just sounds really stilted/faked, idk...
maybe i'm way off base here, but it just feels like they're skating over the depression arc they built up and are going to band-aid it over like Steven Universe Future did

We shouldn’t expect him to be okay in a week or a month it will take time
It's why he's in therapy. Trauma like that doesn't go away quick, if ever at all. Even people in the real world who have been OK for years could still have the occasional nightmare again or relapse. Healing takes a long time, and not all scars mend easily or cleanly

My rebuttal on the topic of being broken, in the shoes of Dinah Lance, would be to chuckle and reply "Welcome to the human race; we're almost all messed up." or something along those lines. I mean, canonically, she dated a man who knows he's a sociopathic psychopath; that's a pretty darn broken man she was involved with, romantically-speaking.
To his credit, however, Oliver wanted to counteract that broken tendency; but he was *way* in over his head regarding romance, as he completely lacked the tools for that: men like him cannot even see *themselves* as human; the category of "human" to a man like that really doesn't exist; so a man like that really cannot be in romantic relationships.
Yet if you watch "Arrow" he and his first 'wife' really are essentially rape victims via a forced "marriage", that's GOING to be traumatic to all involved, no possible exception, ever!
