Who Made Cats the Kings of the Internet?

What would the internet be without cats? In a word: BO-RING.
Without even trying, cats make up the internet pop culture unlike anything else. But how are they so active here, when all they do is eat, sleep, poop and yack hairballs in real life?

I've never had more than 2 cats at any one time. I never bought or gone looking for a cat. Somehow they have just arrived and stayed - usually when l've most needed a small furry creature in my life. Thanks for an interesting video.
