I'll admit I stopped watching your content for a long time, because the bad news of the pandemic got to be too much and I had to tune out. But I'll never forget how useful your videos were in the early days of 2020 to understand what was really happening. And I'm glad to see your measured and data driven work is still going on. What pandemic are you talking about? because if it were not for the media hype things are pretty much as they always have been!
Yep yep. I am watching Dr Vuong now too. Stay safe
Dr Campbell, respectfully, you're interpretation of Canada's covid deaths graph is wrong. The graph you showed is using deaths from Dec 14 of 2020 till now. Canada didn't start vaccinating until January and didn't achieve high vaccination rates until around June - July 2021 timeframe. Of course the majority of deaths would be unvaccinated people, there was mostly only unvaccinated people until June.
You're confusing causation with correlation. By the time high vaccination rates were achieved, the Delta variant, which is less lethal, was the prevalent variant circulating within the population. The death rate from Covid has dropped considerably since Delta became the predominant strain, in both vaccinated and unvaccinated victims.
If you compare the vaccinated and unvaccinated deaths since June, you would probably get a more accurate comparison regarding vaccine efficacy.
@@RalphsDeadBunny2 To his defense, he didn't make this graph, this is straight from Health Canada. However, being a scientist he ought to know how statistics can be skewed and should have picked this one up.

Sorry but that one had me falling out of my chair!
"being a scientist"?
I must tell all my nurse and retired nurse friends that they are all scientists - not sure they are aware of that.
I looked at the current Ontario ICU data, and it suggests that unvaxxed people have 19x the risk of ending up in the ICU than a vaccinated person. I disagree that the death rate from Delta is lower than other strains. The fact that more younger people are showing up in the ICU in worse shape than with earlier strains suggests otherwise.
Canada started administering covid vaccines on 14 December 2020.

Assuming all else equal. Which, of course, it never is. You can't just ignore all the other factors. There are no miracle drugs.
So you mean release under counts that underestimate the actual deaths by about 90%?
Because both leaks from officials and two different studies of excess deaths in India indicate over 4 million fatal outcomes from covid-19 in India.
My wife and I both had our booster Pfizer jab and flu jab tonight. The NHS people directing patients into the booths did not know about aspiration and admitted they were not medical people. On meeting the nurse doing the jobs I asked if she could aspirate. She replied that she knew of that technique but it was now considered to be old-fashioned. I then applied a new method that I had acquired from another UA-cam video in the face of indecision and I pressed the point. She then asked me if I would be more comfortable if she did it I replied yes I would. She then aspirated both of my jabs and also those of my wife. Job done.
There's no way I'd have both jabs together as I get a local reaction to the flu jab and the chills from the Covid shot! I made sure to arrange the flu jab separately at a pharmacy.
I am a retired RN and I gave thousands of IM injections. I never had any blood appear in the barrel of the syringe when I aspirated. The last ten years we stopped aspirating. I was totally comfortable with that because the odds of hitting a vein in the deltoid or gluteus muscle is so unlikely ( and I never saw it)
That being said, if you felt more comfortable having the nurse aspirate, I am glad she did. And I salute that nurse for adjusting her technique to make you comfortable.
@@karenkaren3189
I still aspirate
@@karenkaren3189 We accept it is rare, but we are ALL different, a vein that runs next to the bone in millions of people can be part of a sub group in a higher location in that one person. Which would have been why originally aspiration was the preferred method Simply because it is easier and quicker to jab in the needle and squirt is not justification for injecting intravenous when you should be injecting intramuscular. Lets remember it is the intravenous injection that is putting people at greater risk of adverse reactions to this abomination of a vaccine, once in the vascular system it can go into any organ it fancies and attach the the AC2 receptors in completely inappropriate places. Modern slapdash techniques are not always for the best.
Bravo. Im so happy you ran into a good nurse. Well done.
I think most people are more scunnered than depressed. If you don't know scunnered is an old Scot's expression for a temporary condition where you are world weary, down-trodden, fed up and thoroughly bereft of any lust for life when these words and expressions are simply too inadequate to express how you really feel. A scunner is a person that causes you to be scunnered. Our First Minister ' Wee Jimmy Krankie ' is a perfect example.
And the scientists and politicians are havering.
I like that. The term "depression" as been so pathologize that you dare not use it lest people think you are suffering from a psychiatric illness that requires going on medications. It's normal to feel blue occasionally.
I believe the graph you showed for Canada is accumulative. So it doesn’t really show accurate comparative data of unvaccinated vs vaccinated hospital rates. I might be wrong, but if not this graph is misleading.
You are 100% correct.
I live in Canada and the information John gave matches the CURRENT infection stats from the last few weeks. I follow it closely. I am a retired healthcare professional.
@@robklein583 The information he presented is very clearly labeled as being cumulative from Dec 14, 2020 to Sept 11, 2021. (see 4:04) Considering that Canada had a shortage of vaccine and further Canada had a 4 month wait between doses until well into May due to the shortage, the figure is absolutely highly misleading. You may be a retired health care professional but I am a retired scientist/medical statistician. This also means the majority of Canadians are only now reaching the vaccine waning point of 4 months for Pfizer since their second shot.
@@robklein583 The other issue with the Canadian data is we have a very narrow definition of any adverse effects due to the vaccine. So just about anyone who has any kind of illness after the vaccine but before the 14 days period gets reclassified as a COVID case not as an adverse reaction to the vaccine case. This happened to my daughter. She got very very ill 8 hours after her vaccine but she was told the vaccine could not cause her symptoms because the vaccine does not make you suffer from nausea, wheezing, hives, rash on her face, chest pain, swollen face, extreme headache, fever, and neurological symptoms including shaking all over. She was told only COVID can cause those symptoms. Therefore she must caught COVID before her vaccine but didn't become symptomatic until after the vaccine. She was officially classified as a false negative COVID case in an unvaccinated person. Fortunately she made a full recovery after three days.
@@justinburch I am just and engineer with an ms in electrical eng but there is no need to dig deep to know that graph it is just a plain lie, All the video is about convincing the people that dont want to get the jab, but that is practically impossible.
Personally I think the rise in depression is due to lockdowns rather than Covid. Look how it's slowly reducing since things opened up again. Best treatment for depression is being active and increased social interaction. I live in dread of another lockdown which just might finish me off!
Totally agree
For me I believe the increase in depressive symptoms has been caused by the negative vibe that is out there, the world is going nuts, everyone is fighting and arguing and it takes it toll on everyone. Imagine how much easier it would be and how we would all manage so much better if people were supporting one another, taking open and honestly with one another, listening, helping each other where they can and being kind to one another. It really would make all the difference. Instead people are just getting angry and cruel. That’s my opinion anyway x hugs to you
I'm not subject to depression but I must say the thought of Winter coming on with the pandemic still continuing and all the financial pressures we've been warned about doesn't exactly fill me with joy. Life seems so much easier when you can feel the warmth of the sun on your back. Feel very sorry for folks who are really suffering.
Get a sunlight lamp! SAD (seasonal affective disorder) is quite real.
I completely agree. It has not helped that we have had a rotten summer. We are facing a dreary and worrying winter which could last for 6 or even 8 months. This is going to be harder than last winter, I am dreading it. I think the only way through it, is to take one day at a time - even a week at a time seems like too big an ask. Good luck to everyone; we WILL come through this challenging time; and we will all feel better with the arrival of Spring!
We have more than 300 days of sun in Texas West.

It would be very helpful if you could explain why people who have natural immunity to the covid virus need to be vaccinated. They have a better all round immunity than vaccinated people and there is evidence that the immunity stays for a long time. It seems mad that people who have a natural immunity have to have vaccines in order to live a normal life. These people could be asked to have a antigen test every few months.

But when it's full vaccinated ones who died, we say: we all know they are old, and have comorbidities. My question is, are those ones dying unvaccinated have also comorbidities or they are athletic young people? Please provide a reference
Very good question? I heard that numbers are terribly manipulated! ua-cam.com/video/Lqydu5eSHdk/v-deo.html
There are many variables that impact the outcome. Vaccines lower the chance of you dying but it's still not zero. If you have comorbidites you'll more likely to die from any disease probably. It doesn't mean you won't die of you have no comorbidites from covid. It's a disease and overwhelms your system

Everyone is dying of Covit. It is ridiculous.
To give any kind of graphs, everything would have to be registered in detail. This is all a method of keeping the level of fear high.
And when things are calming down, the new varient will come probably affecting birth to 5 year olds. New group to vaccinate.
It is not advised to vaccinate pregnant women in Germany. In Ireland we have a guy on the radio who keeps inviting "experts" who tell about how important the vaccines are. A few weeks ago it was for pregnant women. Pregnant women HAVE TO BE vaccinated to protect bla bla bla. I am unsure if the difference in advice is geographical, political, medical or financial but I know it has nothing to do with health.
The young people shown on TV in U.S. look horribly obese as they repeat the "I wish I got a vaccine " lines for the media. They should have wished they stopped putting so much food in their body that made them obese.

Check and Rand Paul he's fighting the good fight for natural immunity In American
The way you acquired your immunity had the risk of becoming worse not better, as in your fortunate case. I got vaccinated to avoid that unforeseen risk. I came down last week with what I hope was just a cold. I didn't get tested to see if it was covid. Six days later, I'm feeling better. The bottom line, we both have immunity, in one form or the other.
I'm pessimistic but that's very different to depression (which is a far deeper experience). My pessimism is because I find our government hopelessly inept and our electorate hopelessly uninformed, uneducated, selfish and incapable of understanding the consequences of their actions. Yes because it's unpredictable. When there are millions of people in danger, predictability is everything, especially when dealing with an infectious disease. Those who don't trust Big Pharma sure have precedence but, there isn't the practical basis to approach a pandemic from an individualised basis. If you can afford and get your antibodies and t-cells for Covid-19 measured go ahead but, don't fool yourself that can be done for everyone. "I'm all right, Jack" is fine but not for everyone, and a concerted response across a population of 300 million people cannot be individualised. There isn't the capacity in the "pare down costs to the bone" way we have of running healthcare systems right now to do that. What we have is a much more complicated situation that is constantly evolving because the virus sets the agenda, and not individuals. You cannot separate predictably and reliably who will develop and who won't develop natural immunity, and how robust and sustained over time it will be. We have evidence that is being assessed as we go along but, we should be cautious. If for any reason this virus mutates and evolves all bets are off. If you want to make a difference, lobby for corporations not to have influence over your politicians. Take the money out of politics, and start developing your own national medical Research and Development infrastructure independent of financial incentives. Light a candle instead of cursing the darkness.

You Sir, are a rock. In a good way. I have much respect for you. Watched you through this whole pandemic, even before it arrived on our shores. Thank you - from Australia.
Your charts for Canada show huge percentage for unvaccinated but what is the date range. If it is from Jan 2021 until now you must realize that well less than a 25% of our population was vaccinated at the end of our third wave in April. So both the second wave and third wave would obviously be mostly unvaccinated because most people were simply not vaccinated at that time. The data really needs to be adjusted to beginning of July until now. That would give a far more realistic comparison.
The data in the charts is for Current Active Cases. The data is therefore "self adjusting". This is a very realistic comparison
04:20 I've seen data like this showing most of the unvaccinated cases will be from before vaccination was widely available. And of course vaccinated people don't bother testing themselves as often. This is the sort of mathematical trickery that politicians usually try to get away with when discussing financial issues.

I’ll tell you what John, I’m generally an introvert and I did well during most of the pandemic but also recently started feeling low in general some 2 months ago and that niggling feeling of depression came up again. I think there limits even for introverts in terms of being alone. I fortunately have online support from friends etc so that helps. But I don’t know. It also correlates with me deciding to take ‘accutane’ recently to treat acne… also thinking I can do acne purge while I work from home. So it could be related to that and not me covid restrictions. There are so many moving parts when you look at mental health and COVID….
I think this is the last significant wave. You should be able to return to some kind of minimal regular human contact by December.

Please take care when taking accutane, it is correlated with depression even in people who haven't suffered before. Have you read the patient information leaflet in the packaging? Depression is serious trust me Ive to live with aniexty every day and can't get rid off it. Depression comes in all different forms and until youve been to the lowest point with dark thoughts or been through it don't judge anyone else.
FACT
Very true.
I used to think I had history of depression. But back of my mind I wasn't sure it was a true depression. Left my job to go home and look after my elderly mother with advanced Alzheimer for almost five years. It was really tough physically and mentally. After her passing I decided to try and learn proper meditation skills. During my stay in the centre, I realised that I didn't have depression. What I had was aversion. I wasn't happy because I didn't get what I wanted. I wasn't in control of those situations. That's all. I learned how to spot those feelings as soon as they arise. It has been really helpful. My GP offered me for bereavement counseling as soon as he heard about my mum's passing. I told him that I know how to handle my emotion nowI don't need any counseling session. So far so good. I'm coping well.
I've been in a dark patch since Jan. 8, 2020 when doctors told my wife and I our unborn child was in rough shape. I didn't sleep for two months. He's actually pretty health now and I love him to death but it shook me. Between the pandemic, social unrest and the stress over my boy it has made me numb. Faith and good people have helped significantly. My confessor told me yesterday that he hears more and more that people are depressed for the first time in their lives. I think there is a collective stress in people's lives. Crazy times

I agree, anti-depressant meds are best avoided if possible. Im from Canada… The informations displayed for Cases, Hospitalisation and Death are « Over Time » meaning that they took all the datas since the beginning of the pandemic. No wonder that « un-vaccinated is so predominant since there were no vaccines at that time. We need data covering the new pandemic, the one with The Delta Variant and since vaccine were available and given. That’s the information needed in order be able to show to those unwilling to be jabbed…. (Even Many in my own family) Thanks for your time John…

I noticed the data goes back to mid December of 2020 when nearly no one was vaccinated. It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the numbers once a country has reached a certain percentage of vaccinated individuals or maybe from a particular date stating what percentage of the population has been vaccinated.
Look at our world in data, but also look when each country you are looking at started the vaccinations.
When vaccination levels are high, what is the point on focusing on cases? Those cases are almost exclusively people who've been vaccinated or young healthy people. Neither group is likely to get very ill.
It's so blindingly obvious even a nurse masquerading as a doctor's should realise it is nothing short of a scandalous misrepresentation of the truth.
The Zoe study has data for around the 23rd September in the UK
Currently in Ontario 23% of the KNOWN active cases are fully vaccinated. That is 7x higher than the average from 9 months of data.
What a great presentation every time. Thank you Dr. Campbell. Could be a course at any teaching hospital. First 2 weeks would present population dynamics and review of experimental design. At 3:18 : Herd immunity? I heard that we cannot reach that goal because of the breakthrough infections?
Geert Vanden Bossche said that herd immunity will be unachievable with the vaccines.
@@Ellen-85 Yes, Dr. Campbell is wrong here. He even had a video about the breakthrough infections saying that in the end everyone will get the virus. Like most of us have had flu.
If you take herd immunity as meaning covid will disappear completely then no, not going to happen. But if you understand that once your immune system has met covid, if it encounters it again, which it will, it will deal with it faster and better on each reinfection, until it is nothing more consequential than a cold, then yes, we are fast approaching that point
Herd immunity comes when the farmer has vaccinated all of his herd. As long as we have 40% of the population not getting vaccinated, herd immunity is not even on the horizon. Anyone counting on it to protect themselves or their society is fooling themselves.
@@guygordon2780 Even @ 100% vaccination levels herd immunity in the traditional sense will not occur. These [leaky] vaccines do not prevent infection nor do they prevent transmission. The best one can hope for in this vaccine scenario is a reduced impact once Covid has been acquired.

Dear Dr John, thank you for your tenacity and valuable reporting. Could you please address the question - HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD HAVE DIED ANYWAY - EVEN IF THERE WAS NO COVID...? And lets assume perhaps that the DIFFERENCE could be the REAL IMPACT OF COVID - which from data in many countries is likely SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER than media, and even your analysis suggests - your thoughts..?
The deaths reported are similar to "Excess deaths" over and above those that would have died anyway in the same period. These numbers are actually covid deaths. And they are under-reported by all countries. For example the deaths in the USA are about a million now but you only hear about the CONFIRMED case counts which are much smaller. No government wants their country to be in "last place" in the deaths per million so everyone is fudging the numbers somewhat. We probably will never know real numbers.
@@robklein583 I have thought that under reporting would be an issue from almost day one of COVID.

The Australia figures are a bit old, Victoria has 1400 odd daily cases now
Fishy as hell! Locking them down constantly. No state should have that power
He got it wrong the other day as well. I suspect he is looking at the wrong figure, rather than figures a few weeks ago.
You don't know what to believe in this dictatorship anymore 😢
Victoria puts its case to the federal government as under investigation when they can’t link them. If you actually go on that site the total cases are the next column along. Dodgey Victoria again. Also the vaccination rates are always wrong 80.8% first dose and 50.6% second dose average. Higher than the USA.
That lockdown sure is working well isn't it. Also didn't Gladys resign today?
Cognitive behaviour therapy is okay for mild to moderate depression but for moderate to severe depression I think it is less effective. This is why so many people are on anti depressants. It is sad that we can't get more access to counselling in the UK. It would do wonders. Too often it feels that effective treatments are reserved just for those who are at severe risk of suicide. It's not good enough.
You're right, which is why the UK's NICE Guidelines recommend the intro of SSRI's, in addition to CBT, as the intensity of the presenting difficulties increase.
Here in Ontario Canada they are banning doctors from giving fluvoxamine for covid, despite the fact that a randomized control trial (paradoxically completed by Canadian researchers at McMaster University in Ontario Canada) showed beneficial results, and despite the fact that several other smaller studies also shows impressive results, and despite the fact that many doctors around the world are saying fluvoxamine has reduced or eliminated long covid brain fog in their patients, and despite the fact that several papers pinpoint the mechanism of how fluvoxamine acts against covid (for example, by reducing inflammation). Yet if you have very minor/mild depression.. if you are simply feeling down a bit one day and mention that to your doctor, many will typically not hesitate to put you on an SSRI for life such as fluoxetine (which has a worse safety profile than fluvoxamine).
It is the same people who are creating the reactionary covid policies: wait for cases and hospitalizations and deaths to go up, and then take action, then as soon as the situation gets better take your foot off the gas and again wait until the problem inevitably returns, and then take action again. This is a reactionary system, not a preventative one.

these graphs are very misleading if they dont show the ages
age, date of vaccination, virus strain, already existing health problems. All the data is absolutely pointless without these criterias. More vaxed dying than unvaxed.
I doubt this shill who has pushed this junk for the past year is likely to admit the scam he's been part of.
Because there are more vaccinated people than unvaccinated!
The number of cases should be divided by the population of each group, NOT as a percent of total cases! This math is really meaningless.
Thanks so much John.
As a Canadian, fully vaccinated, I remain a skeptic of data provided by the government. Do they include asymptomatic in the "case" count? Are they relying on PCR tests and at how many cycles? Most questionable is the government's refusal to allow prophylactic and early treatment by what seem to effective combinations of medicines. How many severe illnesses, long term effects, hospitalizations and deaths would have been avoided? Criminal.
as a Canadian citizen, I would like to point out that the Canadian data is not something I would take as a credible source for breakthrough infections.. the data was looking at Breakthrough cases from December 2020 till September 15th 2021 (we didn't even start vaccinations here in Canada till about April of 2021) and most adults under 65 years didn't receive both their doses of vaccines well into the later months of summer.. meaning most of us in Canada, would not have sufficient vaccine protection during the time of the study.
if you really want to get a sense of how many fully immunized people are actually getting sick or hospitalized from covid just look at the data from September of 2021, when about 85% of our population is immunized; while we are considering lockdowns and further restrictions in parts of our country to contain the spread of the disease and to mitigate the pressure on our healthcare system. the vaccine unfortunately only seems to work on getting the vaccine manufacturers extremely wealthy.. it is highly effective at that atleast ;)

In theory, the combination of post-infection immunity and vaccine immunity will create larger % of the population immunized and a dwindling vulnerable group. The challenge is how to accurately gather that data.
Natural infection + vaccine = Hybrid Immunity.
How so? Natural immunity occurs via exposure to the entire virus. Vaccine immunity occurs via exposure to an engineered portion of the spike protein only which is also a part of the natural virus to which one with natural immunity has already been exposed.
That's based on no new variants with significant "breakthrough' cases. So maybe you are right but predicting it is like predicting a coin toss.
