Two different mixers - Teenage Engineering’s TX-6 & Zaehl AM1 at Superbooth 2023

David Eriksson, Jesper Kouthoofd and the team from Teenage Engineering bring their TX-6 mixer, TP-7 field recorder and CM-15 microphone to the Zaehl booth for a demo and Q&A session alongside the Zaehl AM1 mixing console. David Eriksson is the Head of Hardware and Co-Founder at Teenage Engineering. Jesper Kouthoofd is head of design, founder & CEO of Teenage Engineering.
TX-6 is a ultra-portable, battery-powered mixer and multi-channel audio interface. comparable to larger units, but with even more tech packed into one sturdy little machine. Mix 6 stereo input channels, use tempo sync, discover the internal synthesizer and sequencer or use the built-in tuner. MFi compatibility even lets you connect to your iOS devices.
TP-7 field recorder is built for just that, to record sound, music, interviews and important ideas with zero friction in the highest possible quality. a device engineered in every detail to do only one thing and to do it well. a dedicated piece of hardware for ideas, or just a dirty riff.
CM-15. the latest addition to the field system. A versatile studio quality, ultra-portable microphone that comes with a built-in professional usb-c audio interface with built-in preamp. add a 3.5 mm jack and a 48v phantom powered mini xlr, and you have a truly one-of-a-kind battery-powered studio microphone.
The state-of-the-art mixing console AM1 stands for highest standard analogue design and modern, up-to-date functionality and hands-on operation. It was designed by Michael Zaehl in collaboration with Mark Ernestus. Mark also developed the concept of a CV-controllable channel strip. In contrast to the conventional channel strips with their super-clean signal paths (no VCA!) the CV-Channel provides voltage control of 21 parameters via a choice of 12 internal or external CV sources. It is a stereo channel strip built as an electronic instrument connecting with the modular synthesizer world. A game-changing tool for creative producers.

I am thinking of playing live with only op1 field..but I am considering buying the tx-6. Will the new TE CM-15 be able to pug directly into the tx-6? Or do I need a dynamic mic? I plan on talking and or screaming…distortion, delay, reverb.
