Our first Class A was a mid-2000's Itasca Meridian, which was the same as the Winnebago Journey. Man, am I glad I got out from under that thing before the roof decided to collapse on it. It was still holding up, but these videos do a great job of explaining what to watch out for when looking at a used one. It was a nice unit overall and especially for the price, but the basement air was rattling and it has the Caterpillar C7 which has HEUI issues if you don't keep your oil changed frequently. Great job to the guys over there at Cassone's! I know it's a ton of work and I wish there was some way to be able to include the ballpark price on a job like this. I'm guessing somewhere in the $20k range, although I have nothing to base that guess on.
From $6K to $73K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family..
VENTURING into the trading world without the help of a profesionals, trading and expecting profit is like turning water into wine you would need a miracle.
Very engaging right from the beginning These are tough and frankly I appreciate how you discuss global finances in such a delicate way. Business and investment
Experted Ann Marie strunk was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from Maria strunk.
Just sold a property in Alaska and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe but Is this a time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.
I watch your show for you very entertaining. Like the cut of your jib. But i have learned mobile homes are money pits. And not fabricated very well. Except for the big bucks ones. Its fun to watch how they are fabricated and repaired. Ive had 12 homes and well one learns really fast what doesnt last, or how to put it whats used in mobile homes. Its a career choice that will never go away. and fun to watch too.
My Winn has that same weird textured cloth ceiling material. I can't stand it. I tried to rip it off in the bathroom when I remodeled the shower, but it's extremely hard to remove. It sheds fibers over time that have to be vacuumed up from time to time. I need to find something to cover it up.
I am a first time rv owner. I acquired a 2003 Pilgrim open road 38' 5th wheel. It appears to have a metal roof! A magnet won't stick to it. I am thinking it's aluminum? Have you ever seen this on an rv? Just curious? I have lived in the valley of the sun for 49 years. However I am in South Carolina near my daughter's home. If I were in Az still I would definitely hire you for an inspection 😢. BTW I thoroughly enjoy your videos they are very helpful!!! Thank you!
I have a 22 Winnebago 36Z and am worried about my back cap's caulking. It is black, can you tell me what type of caulking I should use? I want to use the same stuff the factory used. Thanks in advance.
I have question. On my 24' Minnie Winnie I didn't know I was supposed to check edge sealant until watching your channel, I kept everything on my roof good except both edges where it tucks in to the channel, it's still tucked in but obviously the wind got in and delaminated about 6 feet about 2 feet from behind the cap and about 6 inches from the edge on each side, the middle 4 feet down the center is good in that 6 feet. In other words 2 6 foot x 6 inch loose strip one on each side. Everything is still good the last 3/4 of the roof. It never leaked and was never driven in the rain, just the side edges are a bit loose, will I be good if I just reseal the edges and ignore the delamination as long as I keep it sealed so wind can't lift it any further? Could I drill little holes and inject glue then patch them to relaminate those strips.?
Never ceases to amaze me how so called professionals can do things so half ass like reusing inexpensive fixtures, not stripping everything down to the basics and so on. We see what happens when people go cheap AF. I love these videos.
Have you bought a home? I rest my case, peoples scrimp a lot they just hide it.. if it works it passes inspection. Thats how it works. Quality is not part of inspection report. read it and see .. Thats the reality..
In watching so many videos from various people I think it’s clear that Winni has deteriorated drastically over the years. I think that fact is beyond question.😊
@@tommackay7433 I’ve owned 9 different motorhomes over nearly 40 years, and traveled over 250,000 miles crossing the country. I recently traded in my 2022 Winnebago class A gas rig after 45,000 miles. I loved the overall quality of the coach, but the roof required too much maintenance. I never had a leak or looseness in it but had constant reseal issues. My Winnebago wasn’t perfect but we had no issues with the rest of the rig. But we did have issues with many Lippert accessories. I can’t agree with the UA-cam reviews that say all are junk. It doesn’t match my experience. Bad roof design, YES! Cheers.
That was really cool they added value by video recording a deluge test and checked for leaks to give the beleaguered customers confidence that when they are out in the great outdoors enjoying their newly roofed RV they saw the leak test and it passed.. Oh wait....⛈🌩☔
damn fine tree fell on the roof.. drat.. or clipped that awning.. Sheet does and will happen.. Like my rabbit it ate 10 windshields some only a week old.. Damn ice roads.. and rocks.
@@peter-pg5yc I would count those as blessings. Free firewood and an abject lesson for your rabbit that ate 10 windshields. Those laminated windshields are designed to shatter in cube shapes the size of your rabbit's poop. After your rabbit passes square shards out it's round sphincter, he will avoid windshields in the future.
I have an 01 newmar, two of the top members of the alum trusses have failed. I had to coat the roof with tropicool silicon. this keeps it from leaking. at first I thought the wood was rotting but not the case. Too lazy to pull the roof to repair it. When I see vids like this I always wonder how it could have failed? folks on the roof? leaks? combo of both. I suspect bad aluminum welds mixed with fat guys walking around on the roof...

@@tommackay7433 I have a Winnebago 2006 View. The quality on the interior is far superior to what they have in their Class C's today. The roof most likely has no cross braces either but it's only 7' wide and I haven't heard of a collapsed one yet. The rear walls get rot from tape going bad though.
Why do they continue to tuck the roof radius into the sides?? The is the cause of most future delaminations of the side walls. Would it really be that hard to overlap the roof to the sides and secure with mounding? This is roofing 101.
Filon is a thin plastic based composite material that will flex and buckle and twist in heat if secured generally so this allows movement in the material
Winnebago should be embarrassed. Unfortunately their employees don’t care, management does not care, ownership group laughs every time another Lemon is sold. Iowa what happened to your craftsmanship?
Every home i bought had a leaky bathroom, and incorrect wiring. all 12 of them. Around the country too. every one i corected. even the million dollars ones too. Flash from tha past roof sheathing delaminating, chinese copper fittings being porus and leaks, or chinese sheet rock that ate the copper in building out gassing, formaldahide outgassing in materials, lead paint, plastic piping that failed, also plastic pipe fittings that fail. It aint just mobile homes.. read disclaimer for roofing manufacturers roof wont last as long in direct sunlight.. Yup go surf and read that insane disclaimer. I still chuckle at that one.
Been following you for years, you put so much care and detail into your work! Good to see the team at Cassones RV still together.

The fact that I got to learn and earn from her program is everything to me think about it, it's a win-win for both ways.

Wow, awesome job.
Beautiful work, James 👏
Outstanding work or craftsmen ship
Beautiful job.
My 95 Winnebago Luxor needs a roof replacement. And now with your knowledge I should have a better time.
Great job.
I wonder if Winnebago cares but at least folks like you can do it right.

I’ve seen a couple of rollover videos with class a’s . They don’t do so well. I now know why.
My 09 View they did a great job no problems
Kicker how would you ever know? Leaks dont announce themselves. They be sneaky little goofballs.

Thoughts on using 3m 5200 to hold down the roof radius into the gutter channel? Which might hold better Proflex vs 3m 5200?

Is there a reason why a synthetic underlayment like Owens Corning ProArmor couldn’t be used on these leakers?
no strength, luan is surprisingly strong
Wow!!
Did you say you used filon? Would that work on a 2002 Fleetwood American Dream? Great video!

Not withstanding could it still be a factory defect 🔥
Make a metal roof!!!
End of problems!!
Simple fix

Funny is it not i surfed 7 to 12 k or more for a mobile home roof.. look it up hey google!!!!!!!

much less than 35k

basement ac you can see the ductwork to the roof on the back
You should check the roof on any RV that you buy not just Winnebago just saying😂
Some how I don't think you will be on Whinnys Christmas list this year after these videos. You're right of course they should be building them better.
What was the cost, roughly?
👍 Nice job, the caulking guy laid some dimes there. I'm not gonna' hold my breath on re-tooling by Winnie, that's for sure.
Got that right. There’s damn few manufacturers nowdays that seem to have maintained their quality.
