I remember first playing this part, everything was kindof going downhill with the car breaking down but as Junebug and Jhonny passed by and helped us out it felt like it would be the only right thing to do, the bar didn't seem like much and there wasn't exactly anything you'd call a crowd but that one moment, just listening to the haunting vocals and hearing that soothing synth in the background just felt magical. Just as soon as the moment began, it ended. It was short enough and sweet enough. I love this game to death.
I remember that moment too. I'd just spent the weekend at work, contracting on an office move, and I'd scored myself a projector out of the scrap tech they were throwing away. I got to experience this incredible scene on the monday night beamed across my entire living room wall!
[Verse 1] When you left me My heart was broken in two But I patched it up And promised I would wait for you [Chorus] It’s too late To love you now It’s too late I’ve made my vow [Verse 2] As long as you were gone I knew I that I was free Free from certainty That other loves could never be [Chorus] It’s too late To love you now It’s too late I’ve made my vow [Verse 3] After the years I know That I’m bound to my fate Because you waited too long Darling, it’s too late It’s too late [Chorus] It’s too late To love you now It’s too late I’ve made my vow [Verse 4] Another love came by And stole my heart away I wish that I could take it back It’s too late
This whole game, well episodes 1 through 4 are fantastic. I love the whole dreamlike feeling I get when I play it. This song only heightens that experience! Ben Babit is master of all Indie soundtracks.
+Jumbo Jango Yes, of course. I know that. But Twin Peaks is a little bit different from other Lynch Movies. So I seperated him in my comment from Twin Peaks. I just wanted to say that when I am playing K.R.Z. I always think about Twin Peaks (Which is by Mark Frost AND David Lynch, anyway), Lynch movies self contained and so many things more. Anyway, hoping for release of Act IV und V really soon. :)
Jumbo Jango u should watch mulholland drive at least. Its so great. Yeah I know. I hope they come up with a suprise and release act iv and v together very soon. That would be awesome. :D
@@Trevor_NewJerusalem the singer is Ben Babbitt, he's an amazing composer who did strings for the likes of Weyes Blood and Angel Olsen. The voice here is him digitally edited for the character of junebug
It's not exactly the same style of music, but it reminded me a lot of Visage and other 80s New Wave/Synth bands. If you wanna get more recent, maybe even some Freezepop allthough they're way more upbeat, but they have some quieter songs like "Swimming Pool" that are worth checking out.
Chromatics and Ejecta are really similar in tone and sound. That's where I'd start. I disagree with the other poster about Beach House, though. They're a great band, but there are so many other acts you could draw comparisons to; and Beach House's overall sound is in a completely different genre.
This was specifically made for the soundtrack, but Ben Babbitt just recently put out a new Junebug song "Static Between Stations" and announced there will be a full album.
There are actually no "true" lyrics for this song (the game that this song came from allows you to actually choose the lyrics to be sung in this song; watch an in-game version to see what I mean). However, this video's lyrics are as follows: When you left me, my heart was broke in two, But I patched it well, and promised I would wait for you. It's too late to love you now, It's too late, I've made my vow, As long as you were gone, I knew that I was free, Free from certainty, that other girls could never be It's too late to love you now, It's too late, I've made my vow. Junebug and Johnny suddenly changing outfits for this was the best part.

@@stoneymahoney9106 neat, what a great story. It sounds like the writing in KRZ actually.
Big love to this track, got me through my first year at university. Shit really sucked back then, big time, this track helped immensely.
[Verse 1]
When you left me
My heart was broken in two
But I patched it up
And promised I would wait for you
[Chorus]
It’s too late
To love you now
It’s too late
I’ve made my vow
[Verse 2]
As long as you were gone
I knew I that I was free
Free from certainty
That other loves could never be
[Chorus]
It’s too late
To love you now
It’s too late
I’ve made my vow
[Verse 3]
After the years I know
That I’m bound to my fate
Because you waited too long
Darling, it’s too late
It’s too late
[Chorus]
It’s too late
To love you now
It’s too late
I’ve made my vow
[Verse 4]
Another love came by
And stole my heart away
I wish that I could take it back
It’s too late
if only things were different, we would be together and in love.
maybe in a different life... but for now, it's too late to love you.

This was so close to a perfection how it was executed and presented in KRZ. Like... whow, still getting the shivers.
This song is so haunting and addicting to listen to
My heart is aching
reminds me of Twin Peaks.
The Town is right around the corner. Just hit the crystal and then turn around...
Pretty sure this is a direct reference to the bar scene in the pilot.
damn fine coffee
Twin Peaks + David Lynch + Everything I love in Art = K.R.Z.
Exactly why this game is my favorite at the moment.

I've chosen this exact same song. Thanks for uploading!
Chosen it for what?
TheDoctor423
I think they meant to say that they chose the same dialogue options.
(Also, Ulysses rocks.)
Karim Benallel Yep, that's what I meant. One of the greatest moments in the game to be able to change a wonderful song as this.
This is the version that can be found on the official soundtrack, so I guess you chose right :)
Spin-off with Junebug and Johnny, please! :P
you get to play them a lot, to be fair, I'd wager they are main characters and don't necessarily need a spin-off
I cant stop thinking about this game, holy fuck.
This song from the beginning sounded to me like Beach House. And they're a duo too (Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally).
Beach House, space song :)
3 more weeks!!
haha nice to know someone else was still waiting, I'm binging the soundtrack now hella happy its finally coming !!
WAIT WHAT EYO WHERE IS IT
man, how did he manage to pitch his voice this perfectly? seriously, what program did he use?!
He?

Try Tears for Fears, they are the mainstream epitome of this subgenre of music. Hope you like it and it helps.
it's a clear homage to the "Beach House"
Gabriele Mariotti Thanks for mentioning that band, never heard of it! Can clearly hear the similiarities, awesome!

I thought Junebug is a male android with woman's clothes fetish
如果是的话就更可爱了呢
