Sir,the Uboats use our masts to calculate firing trajectory....can we not change the mast height to trick them?

It’s not necessary. You can get speed from following alongside, heading from overtaking and sitting in front. Then fire at perpendicular and it doesn’t matter the ship or the distance (within torpedo effective range)

Getting distance from mast height was not a tactic used frequently during the war. tequila is correct in that they more often used their own boat to gather the information.
