Kane had one of the greatest characters in history, no matter how good or bad his booking was. It's just an overall great character, although I do wish they had treated him better throughout the 2010's.
Damekio McCuller-Pratt, your right at the time Turning Cena Heel would have done wonders for him. but I hear both Cena and Vince didn't want to do that. outside of WWE Cena was well known for doing the make a wish events for kids and didn't want to stop doing that....The Teens and Adults may have booed Cena but he was popular with Kids.............Also Cena's Mech was a big seller and Vince didn't want to lose the money it made. also it may have been a different time but Fans didn't like Heel Austin when he joined Vince and HHH. WWE remembered that and didn't want to make another mistake as they did with Turning Austin heel.

And John was cutting a lot more heel type promos. But I get it Vince had a lot of money going on with Babyface Cena. But think about the money they made with him. At least gave it a shot it wouldn’t have taken nun for them to make him Babyface again

This was the first large scale storyline I saw play out on TV and was absolutely terrified of Kane when I was a kid. This storyline has a huge amount of nostalgia for me

I always felt that when Kane returned with the new mask it looked pretty great. However after some time the mask changed again, it looked like a down graded version of it.
I actually just noticed that Kane's hair was real when he first remasked, I thought he had been balled ever since 03 but I guess I was wrong. There was a short time period where his hair was real again.
I definitely remember kanes big match at wm 28 with Randy Orton. Solid feud with two main eventers. Ending in a well deserve singles win at the grandest stage. How can you not remember that expect win.

Masked Kane, Boogeyman, Mankind, Gangrel and Ministry Undertaker were the scariest for me back then as kid . Every time my father and uncle want to watch it *AT NIGHT* and there is any of them on the screen, I will cry and turn off the TV immediately... Wish I could go back to that time...

I was 11 when this happened and I remember being TERRIFIED- I watched so many clips of masked Kane, but I never actually witnessed masked Kane live. And WOW. I remember having chills after he returned. Thennnn they completely ruined it and he was back to being a scrub once again 🤦🏽♂️
Why they didn’t use the embrace the hate to turn cena heel going into his match with the rock where he was the obvious heel in Miami that night would’ve been so great for his character and his future. I loved the masked Kane returned it was awesome but as a Cena fan growing up I thought heel turn would’ve been badass

Was clamoring for the return of Masked Kane since they were teasing it in 06, his unmasked phase really over stayed its welcome and made Kane less interesting. So i was super stoked when he returned to form but ultimately left underwhelmed & disappointed for 2 reasons. 1.The red demon face design was awful, its cut out for the eyes & mouth was so large u can very much recognize his face. 2. Besides this first feud they really could have done a lot more to make him look stronger & more frightening and legitimate threat to top guys and put them over instead they casted him aside for comedy segments before turning him corporate cuz it was only ever about a damn record. Kane was one of the best and most consistent big men in the company and it felt like they never knew what to do with him.
Zack ryder was the biggest victim in all of this. He was made to constantly look like a chump because management hated that he got over on his own. Lost the US title, lost his girlfriend and his legs. He wasn't the same after this story.

Kane was always cool even in the weird storylines but something I never liked about him was three things 1: Forced comedy. Natural comedy was always funny but there we’re way too many instances that shouldn’t have happened 2: The Mask here was definitely my least favorite he ever had. If they didn’t want to do the original mask then bring back the 2002 mask! Better look and details on it over this fruit roll up nonsense mask 3 The Big one: How many times he lost. Glenn is probably super selfless and whatnot but Kane should’ve had a record near his brother. He lost way too much
