      Best testers for chairs are chronic pain patients. They need them to be good. Like the other dude said: yeah, knowing the brand and the price makes you happy.
      You need people that know f all about chairs and just are in pain. Get people from the street. Seriously.

    aeron chair is the devil in disguise. it felt great when i first tested it out. that floaty feeling was something else. but long term, i dont find myself looking forward to sitting on it when i come home. i have to consciously think about my posture in it because i will constantly find my butt sliding forward so i have to constantly readjust myself. i also find it cutting my blood circulation off on my legs it did however fix my lower back discomfort. so i will keep this on the side if my back problems come back

    • @TheBlindGuys
      @TheBlindGuys  3 роки тому +4

      Try getting a footrest and elevating your legs up. Should help with the bloodflow and it's how you should be sitting!

    Hey guys, thanks for doing this video! I would suggest you re-test all of these chairs again without a headrest.. i feel like chairs like Leap V2 which have bad headrests could maybe rise in the ranking. Also, since these are meant to be work chairs, i would also suggest you guys test out which chairs feel best when in a working posture rather than a relaxing posture.

    • @TheBlindGuys
      @TheBlindGuys  3 роки тому +7

      Hey! Dan here - the guys tested the chairs in every position including relaxed mode. As for the headrests, some of the chairs come with it as the only option and after they tested some of the chairs with and without the headrest, all of them came to the conclusion that they love headrests even if they didn’t think so prior to testing!

    • @gsards
      @gsards 3 роки тому +6

      @@TheBlindGuys Hey Dan, fair enough! I was just interested to see how the Leap V2 would fare without the headrest against the rest of the chairs, because the headrest on that chair makes sitting in it really horrible. But sounds like you guys did that already so it's all good!

    I love the blind test, TY! For me, being able to put my feet flat on the floor WITH my back positioned all the way back in the chair is first priority.

For my trading I do lean forward from time to time, but also like to lean back and chill. Looking at HM Embody, Haworth Fern, and Steelcase leap or gesture. As much as I need to replace my current chair because it's so ragged, I just couldn't beat it up like that; it's been a trooper. It's 10 years older than I am, has provided thousands of sitting hours for myself and the previous owner, and is actually fairly comfortable and encourages good posture. But it's falling apart. I ordered a Steelcase Series 2, but with options that basically doubled it's price (the argument being that even though it's almost as much as a base Gesture or Leap, those chairs with the same options also go up another $500, or even more).

      Yong here. Although video didn't show it, I thought it was still good and actually mentioned while recording that I think this one is the Size T80. Would have been my fourth or fifth choice overall. Two reasons for this. First the headrest isn't as comfortable compared to the ones I picked. Second the seat feels slightly angled down where my knees feel lower than my hips (to be fair, others didn't really feel this so might be just my preference on chairs).

    is there a way to tell HM chair models? Bought an HM 1950s chair from a used office furniture dealer as all my wfh chairs were not great and everything else was way more costly than I was willing to pay for. At the time, I didn't even know what I was purchasing and am only now realizing I may have copped a bargain on mine. The one I have has a solid metal base with no hydraulics/ gas lifts. you wind to lower or raise the chair. The sitting position is comfortable and suits me well.

    • @TheBlindGuys
      @TheBlindGuys  2 роки тому +1

      Yong here. Personally didn't think much of the headrest on the Haworth fern so I probably would go without it unless it's a relatively cheap addition but it's really a personal preference. For example, when I'm working, I don't really use the headrest so for an office chair, I don't think I need the headrest.

    I'm considering either the gesture or the embody for my next upgrade but I'm waiting for the atlas headrest. My main consideration that no youtubers seem interested in covering is, which chair(s) are the most comfortable to sleep in? I have a physically demanding job and when I come home I end up sleeping more than gaming. Any suggestions? Or maybe a different chair all together? Love the unbias opinions keep them coming!

    • @TheBlindGuys

      Yong here. Both are great choices to sit in but I don't normally sleep on my chair so can't really give any advice on that end. • @TheBlindGuys
      @TheBlindGuys  3 роки тому +2

    • @TommiContursi
      @TommiContursi 3 роки тому

      I was also a bit surprised, but especially with Embody it's very important to be able to adjust the settings that suit the user. You can easily make it to be a very relax chair or a stiff uncomfortable task chair. Of course, the lack of headrest affects as well.

    Honeslty, Dave's picks seemed kind of useless because he was complaining more about height for his legs than anything else - someone should have tried to help him adjust the height, it feels.
