    Wow, this video is mind blowing! I didn't know that until now even though I can speak all the words correctly.
    I am teaching my 3-year-old son phonics. After watching your video, I wonder what's the point of learning phonics as it has so many exception? Afterall, we are just happened to remember the sound of the words...

    • @EnglishwithLiz
      @EnglishwithLiz  11 місяців тому

      That's wonderful that you are teaching your son phonics as it's so much easier to learn at that age. You are quite right, all natives just learn how a word is pronounced, but how does an English learner know what's right or wrong? They learn the Phonemic chart, both the symbols and the sounds, and then can always check the pronunciation by looking up the phonemic transcription of a word. This video explains more ua-cam.com/video/MaBess5ygYo/v-deo.html . I'm also just making a video on a beginners guide on how to transcribe words, so watch out for that. Love❤️ & 🕊Peace. Liz

    My first meet with you , professor Liz just ended. Really, I had luck to watch this lesson.
    To learn vowels all learners should gain patience, and at least correct capability to hear the sounds, and we need a teacher or a pronuncer of English sounds.
    Your success comes from a simple understanding that lessons can't be too complicated or loaded.
    I would like to participate in a lesson in which I will be taught to hear diffrent sounds. Next, I can start to copy these vowels after you. Third step would be to practice the sounds in many sentences.
    Thank you for your lesson. Keep performing and loading your lessons on YT.

      How lovely to meet you Michal. Do explore my other videos as they will help you with the sounds. Maybe start with this one where I give you all the phoneme sounds ua-cam.com/video/43v0iSq-0T0/v-deo.html or if you need help understanding the Phonemic Chart, try this one ua-cam.com/video/MaBess5ygYo/v-deo.html . Your videos are amazing and very helpful! I would like to ask: when I see a letter A, how do I know what kind of pronunciation it corresponds to? There are some rules according to which I can understand, seeing a written word, which of these sounds is the right one? Thank you

    • @EnglishwithLiz
      @EnglishwithLiz  Рік тому

      Hi Filippo. Unfortunately, in English, there are many exceptions and very few rules with pronunciation. The best way is to learn each word separately as it is pronounced in the word. Try reading and listening at the same time. This is an excellent way of learning correct pronunciation. Love ❤️ & 🕊Peace. Liz
