This house is the dream backyard home. Its outdoor area provides moments of leisure and relaxation, with several spaces to enjoy outdoors. You may have heard of this term ADU or accessory dwelling unit, which is a secondary dwelling unit on a single-family residential lot. The ADU can be used to accommodate family members, and guests, or as a rental.
In the courtyard, a swimming pool invites residents to cool off on hot days, while a deck with lounge chairs provides the perfect spot for sunbathing and relaxing by the water. Under a wooden pergola, there is the gourmet area, equipped with a barbecue, stools, and a large wooden table, ideal for outdoor dining.
The outdoor lounge, with a chaise lounge, wooden benches, and an outdoor fireplace, is perfect for cozy evenings and gatherings with friends and family. A balcony in front of the building completes the outdoor area, providing a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the view.
Inside the house, on the ground floor, we find a well-equipped kitchen, with a counter and stools, perfect for quick meals. A dining table for four people is strategically positioned next to the kitchen. The living room is an inviting environment, with a vibrant orange wall that adds energy to the space, and a large wall with wallpaper imitating white bricks adds a touch of style and rusticity to the space.
Below the stairs, a toilet is discreetly hidden by a wooden slat, as are the laundry closet doors, which go unnoticed thanks to the same slat. The bathroom is also decorated with wallpaper, providing additional charm.
The staircase leads to the second floor, where a seating area with armchairs invites you to relax. Two large windows provide natural lighting and a charming view of the outside environment. The staircase wall is in a vibrant shade of orange, continuing the color of the wall in the living room on the ground floor.
In the first bedroom, the decor is dominated by blue and neutral tones, with a large closet for clothes that offers plenty of storage space. The blue slatted wall adds a touch of elegance to the room. In the second bedroom, floral wallpaper creates a more welcoming atmosphere, with yellow details on the bedding. There is also a large closet for clothes. The bathroom, which is a demi-suite, can be accessed from both the second bedroom and the living area on the upper floor, providing practicality and comfort for residents.
The interior of this building occupies two 40-foot HC containers, one on top of the other.

Adorei esta casa, é perfeita para a minha filha e mim, porem achei como que estivesse confinada na parte posterior da casa em frente, razão pela qual teríamos que entrar desde a casa outra e não desde a rua.
Além disso, apesar da pequenez do interior, penso que a distribuição do espaço é perfeita. Adoro o facto de, no rés do chão, ter a cozinha de um lado e, do outro, um sofá de canto como sala de estar e uma televisão. Os quartos no andar de cima, de ambos os lados, também estão muito bem distribuídos. Outra boa ideia é como o espaço por baixo da escada é utilizado para outra meia casa de banho e para a zona de lavandaria.
A única coisa que eu acrescentaria para melhorar a casa seria utilizar camas nos quartos que pudessem ser guardadas e, assim, aproveitar melhor o espaço. Não se trata certamente de uma deficiência arquitetónica, mas sim de uma melhoria no “design” de interiores.
