Of course Labor resort to personal attacks because on policy they’re a disaster. Three Years of Labor: Promises vs. Reality In 2022, Anthony Albanese and the Labor government promised Australians a brighter future. They pledged: • Honest and transparent government • Cheaper mortgages and energy bills • An end to the “climate wars” • No family would be worse off • A future made in Australia • Prosperity for all However, three years on, under Labor’s leadership, the country has become more divided than ever. Albanese, while making personal attacks against political opponents, has overseen the rise of woke politics, which has driven deeper social divisions. Labor’s focus on identity politics, virtue-signalling policies, and controversial initiatives has left many Australians feeling left behind or silenced, adding to rising resentment and unrest. The Reality of Three Years Under Labor: Economic Decline: ✘ Inflation hit a high of 8.4%. ✘ 12 consecutive interest rate hikes have tripled mortgage repayments for many Australians. ✘ Power bills have risen by $1,000, despite a promise of a $275 cut. ✘ Real wages have dropped by 4.8%, while wages in the OECD rose by 1.5%. ✘ Nearly everything is now 30% more expensive. ✘ Labor is the biggest spending government in Australian history, with $12 spent for every $1 saved. ✘ A projected $15.8 billion budget surplus has turned into $143 billion in deficits, with Australia’s national debt now at $1.3 trillion. Energy & Climate Failures: ✘ Labor’s renewable energy policies have pushed prices up, not down. ✘ The promised 43% emissions reduction target by 2030 is out of reach. ✘ Labor’s energy transition plan could cost as much as $642 billion-five times the original estimate. Taxes & Government Spending: ✘ Taxes have gone up: the Low and Middle Income Tax Offset has been scrapped, the fuel excise reduction ended, and energy rebates are now taxpayer-funded. ✘ Billions have been wasted on failed or questionable projects, including $36 billion to solar and wind, $60 billion to the NDIS, $600 million on the failed Voice referendum, $910 million to Ukraine, and $251 million on self-promotion through government advertising. Housing Crisis & Reckless Immigration: ✘ Labor’s immigration policies have made an already severe housing affordability crisis worse, with many Australians struggling to find an affordable home. Economic Mismanagement: ✘ Australia has seen eight consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. ✘ Labor’s closure of mining industries and restrictive workplace laws have reduced tax revenue and deterred investment. ✘ Government spending now accounts for 30% of Australia’s GDP. ✘ Over 27,000 small businesses have gone under. ✘ The Australian dollar has fallen to a record low of US61.88¢. A More Divided Nation: ✘ Australia has become significantly more divided under Labor. The government’s focus on identity politics, race, and gender issues has alienated large sections of the population. ✘ Labor’s push for the divisive Voice to Parliament referendum, which ultimately failed, deepened racial and social divisions across the country. ✘ “Cancel culture” and virtue-signalling have taken root, leaving many Australians fearful of expressing their views, leading to growing frustration and anger. Woke Politics and Social Unrest: ✘ Labor’s obsession with woke politics has shifted the focus away from practical solutions to the real problems Australians are facing, emphasising divisive social justice issues instead. ✘ The result is greater political polarisation, more protests and counter-protests, and increasing clashes over ideological differences. ✘ Hate crimes and violent incidents have risen as societal tensions continue to build, with Australians feeling more divided along political, racial, and social lines. ✘ The government’s failure to address these issues or promote unity has only added to the unrest. For many Australians, despite working long hours, life under Labor’s government has become a struggle. With skyrocketing costs, divisive politics, and rising social unrest, Australians can no longer afford another three years of Labor’s mismanagement.
