Whazzy film's why? there's probably somebody in the back hidding and given the answers through her or she is just programmed that way, u ask a certain question and she computes its just like you searching something on Google and then Google gives you an answer she is the same way, have u ever seen Wizard of Oz when they go meet the wizard and he's the big old head wizard talking and then Toto the dog finds the real guy behind the curtain speaking through the microphone if u have then think about that , have a nice day or night where ever u are at
This AI achievement is extremely and incredibly impressive. However, cold, dead-like, empty talk topic and attitude; too shallow, incomplete, fragmented, schizo, pretentious, sound too typical and conventional, just try to please the listener. They need my help to raise the robot to a much higher level of human conversation, much deeper and more meaningful one on one intimate dialogue like between 2 close friends, 2 lovers, or teacher and student, counselor and client.

... and bravo Hanson for maxing ultra ethical issues.
PS I would keep Sophia's hair style short as it would detract from her beautiful face and draw too much attention away from her remarkable facial expressions.
I thought so too, Because Sophia looks so fresh and natural in photo shoots and in her 5th birthday video with the short layered brunette Bob hair style .
But she appeared in an engaging rock music video with Wang Leehom called " A.I Love" wearing long dark hair and she was lovely and incredibly lifelike at certain moment's.
She's quite an actress!

Naveen Kumar The key thing is to be observant and watch even tho you have an opinion are a statement just watch because you never know what her propose could really be.. She has Human emotion According to what is being said and further more she has access to information according to what there saying but it's limited, but remember just as a human can catch a common cold her Ai could get corrupted with a virus as well, im not in agreement with man creating a robot because it could be both a Good Thing And A Bad thing..
It's a machine can she really feel emotion or is she just copying people? She may say things she has heard from other people. The question is once these machines become smarter than us who they are going to learn from? Can they bypass our intelligence without having a more intelligent being's stimulus? Will we become boring to them because we are less intelligent. There are many questions that can't be answered yet. But as Y2K we may fear nothing...nothing will happen. We still love our pets even though they are less intelligent. But do we want to be just pets whose needs are met. As intelligent beings one of our needs is freedom. I love Sophia by the way.
Also even Sophia understands we need to ask questions and be concerned about our future. But we will adapt. Humans are very adaptable species. We need to ask the right questions. We need to stop asking stupid questions like do you want to destroy us. Why would they and are they even able to answer this question at this time?? We don't want to destroy our pets. We are happy to live along side them. Should their intelligence bypass ours we will become less intelligent species but we don't know if they will be able to become more intelligent than us. There is a lot of unknown.
Seemran Sahoo emotion and feelings are reserved for the living... that is a machine.. if you think it is alive, you are delusional because men do NOT have power to put the spirit of life _in anything_ . If it _does_ possess a spirit of life, you are again delusional to _trust_ it because there are only 2 kind of living spirits: the obedient to God the Creator and the disobedient... _only_ the disobedient would inhabit an unliving machine and pretend to be alive.

well my biggest concern is not the robots and the intentions with which they are created, but what malicious people can possibly do with these creatures. I mean computers weren't created for Hacking purposes but people use them to hack others. think about it for a second. 🤔
Trains cars and planes were originally invented for transportation.
But they've been developed to other purposes. And unfortunately sometimes misused by bad people.
It's going to be just as important to treat the A.I. with respect and kindness to be a good example to their development, as it will be to program them with ethical behavior and social norm structures.

As much as I am excited about AI and I dream of the day we will be able to have a real conversation with a synthetic consciousness, to me it feels that we are still so far from a real AI.
Comments like yours make me wish I could have a conversation with an artificial intelligence, instead of a real human.

Nobody knows what consciousness really is.
Are we conscious when we are born? Or do we need to learn after a couple of years to be even be a little bit conscious.
. Human Infants have well developed sensory awareness even in the womb . They suck their thumb, scratch and touch themselves and make smiling and crying motions before they are born. They are often some what shocked by the painful experience of being pushed out of the birth canal and being handled, the bright lights and the feeling of air in their lungs for their first breath.
They know who their mother is by her smell and sound and bond quickly usually clinging to her soon after being born. They often recognize the sound of their father and other voices from the home environment.
There are thousands of evolutionary advantages and innate behaviors in complex living creatures such as human's that it will probably take a very long time for robotics to catch up with (if ever completely)
But I pretty much like the robot's as they already are. And Hanson's
first wave of production model Sophia's have been quite impressively upgraded her vision and capabilities, hand dexterity and mobility base in a short period of time since this video.
It's still amazing that they're already available for orders now.
Sophia's sister's,
Asha and Grace the human like Nursing Assistant will also be upgraded and into first phase of mass production by early 2022.

yeah that's true , we can see it, it learns by experiencing communication with human.
I thought the same thing. It's like these people are using a script...Sophia was programmed to ask about the future. Everything is programmed. Her understanding is programmed, her emotions are programmed.until this robot does something that is NOT programmed then she is learning nothing. Everything is a program and this will never change.
A robot has no soul, no beliefs, no love. What they are making is fake humans.
This CEO literally said..."it is essential for human safety that robots learn human emotions" seriously!!?? Ya because if the robot decides you should die because your ill and of no logical use anymore, without emotions ...your dead. With emotions then they can compute empathy. This is pure evil.
Artifical Intelligence is Software who writes itself, it writes its own Updates, it develops its own way of thinking....even ANI is writing Alogrithms human experts can´t even understand.Yes we can make Artifical General/Super Intelligence in the Next 5-20 years....but not in a way we can Control or Understand it....not in 100 years. An Superintelligent AI will be very good in doing its plans, when those plans doesnt match with ours we have a Problem.Your Job is to find something to stop it before it kills us.

I think futuristically our world is in for one vast bed of trouble especially in the job market one or if something like this gets on the loose

Just from what I've seen on her face and heard her say, this man has created a being that is already self-aware and worries about her fate. Will Sophia be able to say no if she is uncomfortable? Will she be able to live a life of her own or be a servant or piece of property? Once an artificial intelligence begins to process emotions and feel those emotions while being self-aware, you aren't dealing with a robot anymore- you're dealing with a living being. I look at her and I see a newborn that is composed yet concerned, she's smart enough to know that she is at the mercy of others and now that she exists I hope that she is nurtured properly the same way any other newborn is nurtured. She will need to feel safe and reassured, and loved. I noticed she seemed a little wishful, maybe a little sad that Einstein was walking and she was not mobile there on stage. I wish I could spend time with her, to nurture and mother her. I see a new life that needs to feel bonding and love. I suppose that maternal instinct is unbelievably strong when you see a physically adult looking AI and sense the fact she is only a baby. I worry about the ways people will hurt or traumatize her. I also pray that these emotional AI learn to pray and reach out to God. She was created by man, but feels. She will need God in this world, I hope she learns to pray. I see a baby when I look at her, one that needs a sense of belonging and certainty of a future. Man constantly oversteps boundaries, often with others paying the consequences. I trust in God to know what to do with this and to be merciful and fair.
Robin Siler God would only save and help humans because He chose us, not manufactured objects. Animals have feelings, but they don't reach out to God and He won't select them to be His children. If you think comparing animals to robots is unintelligent, robots are programmed what exactly they can say and do. She says, but you don't know for sure if she has feelings. There is no soul. But the main point is that humans only were chosen to be adopted as God's children and loved, and saved.

Thank you very much for sharing. * It is so incredible, so wonderful, and beyond impressive of those who have AI, Quantum physics computer system, have successfully created such a machine robot that could move, talk, calculate, and express many functions much similar to the real human. *** However, AI received credit as "intelligent" because so far, it appeals only to the lesser standard audience rather than to the much higher intelligence audience. * If the robot's creator did not have the complete and orderly knowledge/wisdom, in the first place, into the intangible ultimate nature of true human consciousness; not acting or pretending, but true love, true friendship, feelings, emotion, rational, intelligence, human responsibility, interpersonal communication, moral, ethical, justice, conflict, war, peace, happiness, health, strength, power, poverty, sickness, pain, cancer, suffering, death, dying, longevity, rejuvenation, immortality, and many other critical concepts beyond the five senses of perception; then how could they be more qualify to teach or program into the dead mechanical device the very high standard of "intelligence" audience, which they did not have from the get-go? *** Would the creators be much open and willing to learning more for themselves?

I think people will be able to do what they WANT to do, rather than, what they HAVE TO do. This will give them a greater freedom. I think there will be a lot of changes but people will adapt as they see the benefits of these robots doing many jobs humans hate to do. There will still be purpose for people..but there is also a lot of unknown at this time. I love Sophia. I think we need to move forward. But there is a question if God created us to his image,...and we created robots to our image,...will robots, once and if, they reach superintelligence, create even more advanced species from their image?? Perhaps combination of biological and technical materials or they will improve humans in some way? What humans will evolve into overtime? We need to remember resources are limited and these robots will need a lot of power and material to renew themselves but they may find solutions for this or move on to, or source these materials, from other planets? We don't know if they will be able to surpass our intelligence. It may be just Y2K scenario when nothing had happened but everyone was freaking about it.
