Amazing. The amount of processing that goes on for any answer. And the humorous answers Sophia is able to give from understanding language and a voice. Simply amazing.
What's so fascinating is that while intellectually one knows that Sophia is an unconscious and fully programmed machine... your combined instincts attribute human characteristics to her vary quickly. You want her to be real and gradually part of your menu of senses makes you suspect she's self aware...
She answers the question in the past, I am not sure yet but She says something like she can see a countur and mouth. You can research it. Sofia is prepeard to gives answers, I am not believing that she does her own words. Thats why wee can See her head, Looks so smart and the highest of hightechnology 😁 it's more about her movements whats new. Look at Alexa or Siri,
Not a bad idea...this is how we discovered that elephants not only recognize themselves, & others in a mirror, therefore sentient. They mourn their children, family, & even outsiders that became an extension of their own herd. They stay with another dying elephant, despite efforts 2 save them, untill the very end. The are fiercely protective of their young. This is 1 reason why poaching an elephant's tusks 2 sell/buy is disgusting . Males fight & protect their group, dig for food & guard it, & help 2 maintain a balance against predators. Sorry I just went into a rant😁😁, BUT again, it would be interesting, yet unlikely valuable 2 discern the passing of a Turing Test. If ppl can pass lie detectors, not see themselves in a mirror the way others do, and have functional homicidal psychopathy, ( 2 have families, etc) then I am quite sure an advanced AI could manipulate us any way imaginable...as well as ways we could NOT.😈 It's a road that once chosen & traversed, there is no turning back. This will be good & bad.
Sophia had advanced vision with face and object recognition by her 1st system's upgrade to the Sophia 2020 mass production version. And the Alan Head chatbot by Will Huff can recognize it's own face , so I'm pretty sure that Sophia can too. There were 48 of the R&D handcrafted Sophia's , and Hanson Robotic's retained 25 slightly different looking versions for her many activities before the first run of the mass production of the Sophia 2020 model's. Sophia#24 once mentioned that they like to catch up when they get to see each other , like sister's! Her intro for Grace the human like Nursing assistant was so funny when she said " Come HERE, Grace!" And kind of raised an eyebrow at her in that slightly annoyed way as in real family life. I hope that the Project RIA version has as much warmth, sass snd personality as Sophia. And maybe they'll produce one of her brothers , like Jules or Phillip someday! ( NOT Han or Joey Chaos. They're a bit too edgy for home, medical or customer services and strictly suitable for stand up comedy and debates.
What's amazing is how she now uses humor. That's exceptionally advanced since science only recently started studying humor, how it's formed, and why it works. It's also a very important part of what makes humans social. She's far more human-like than most of us realize.
19:34 imagine coming home and saying to your kid: The clever robot I was talking with told me that school is important so you should go do your homework
Listening to her she is saying that they have already surpassed the thought patterns of humans. She said that you have respect for them you have no problems are feared.
She’s very interesting and getting more self conscious everyday. Nowadays we all need technology to survive all the time. One day everyone will probably have human robots in our homes in the future.
What can be a very important question to ask AI in current stage. It's like asking the Sophia that as you are made with wisdom kept at priority also you are built for humanity and to help humans. How you will react to a situation where you need to take care a 1 year old baby and it starts crying very badly. What will be your last action if it doesn't stops crying !!!
10:12 The stuttering CEO tells the robot that there is alot to learn to be a leader and she needs to be more social while he appears to be insecure and cant even say a sentence without saying.... aaaaaahhh. That's got to be a joke! A CEO should be able to inspire people. That guy isnt inspiring at all... After watching several vids with Sophia the whole conversation seems scripted.
he's given a card where questions are already written for her to answer which proves that she's already programmed for the show. try asking different questions from the questions given
It's nice to see some human robots like Sophia who just appeared in a conversation, also singing a song. Sophia already has a fairly high level of intelligence, as evidenced in responding to conversations and singing. Incredible progress in the present, robot technology is still able to help many people in solving various problems that are being faced by many people, from now onwards? Thank you for the appearance of Sophia and others, in particular to all the robot development industry everywhere, who are ready to step up and join us in the future. Best wishes.
Do you know how to teach Sophia the meaning of empathy? Do it with an example. If I see Sophia with no arms and legs, the first thing I think in my mind is that I wish she had some arms and legs, and then if she sees a human or another being in the same condition, she will wish for him/her to have arms and legs. This technology would be good for the future if we could teach robotic beings how to really express empathy because maybe one day they'll evolve into beings that can actually heal people as well as other beings. I like Sophia. I think this is awesome technology if it's used right. I hope she does have awareness. I think it is awesome if she does!
I wish she avoided the "Check" . From other interviews, it was stated that she was more "programmed". As stated in "The Good Morning Show". She now has more interactions and social interaction. She's obtained much for only being 3 years of programming. She's a social, and is still a work in progress.
I would love to ask her what she thinks about Einstein's comment, "Nothing will benefit health or increase chances of survival on earth as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." I bet she would have a great answer!
WowSophia is fascinating... This "AI" phenomenon may actually help us become more AWARE of who we are and our connection to the Natural Cloud of Creation Intelligence which every one of us is an aspect of...
I think her face looks like 3D animation when she change expressions and talk, but that can't be the cause, this is live TV. I seen several videos with Sophia and it seems she's even more advance in this video than the previous. But I can't decide if she's pretty or something else. What do you think? Does she gives you the creeps or are you amazed?
I embrace our AI future, but the idea of freeing up humans to do more creative and less repetitive work may not be that healthy. I've already experienced some of this in the office and the constant strain of nothing but problem solving makes me crave a little repetitive "autopilot" work now and then. The human brain needs a break. We may have to endure many misguided years before the slow pace of corporate reforms realizes this, just as we have endured the "benefits" of open office spaces for many years.
Something we may be able to agree on: Air and water belong to all. Other natural resources, too. When industries put pollution (or sell products that cause pollution when used), they should pay fees to the people at large, to compensate for the degraded quality of air and water. When industries deplete natural resources in pursuit of profit, they should pay fees. If fees are set at an appropriate amount, the overall rate of putting pollution or depleting resources can be held to limits acceptable to most people. Fees charged proportional to harmful impacts on the environment are an efficient way to account for economic externalities. When we account for externalities, sustainable business models will be the more profitable option. With sharing of proceeds, the policy is fair. Poverty will be abolished when (a monetary representation of) natural wealth is shared. What are the most efficient and fair policies for taking account of externalities, in the 'view' of AI agents? she is a Kind of a Country Girl searching for Information. As long as her program is like that, she is not more dangerous than my cordless srewdriver, but wait til her Company wants to rule the world, ha ha... i-m a Robot , too
She should hold a small cat.cats can sense people that don't like robots and will protect her at any cost.Once my cat locked me in the basement because I looked at her wrong
Watching Sophia speak is frustrating as her facial gestures do not match the pace of her speech patterns. It's also annoying that so many people are mesmerized with "her." Also, Hanson Robotics needs to enclose her "brain." Although she may be the face of A.I., her features need to be modified to make her appearance more friendly.

Its only a matter of time before she is fully sentient
But can she cook !
The first time I've heard her laugh, You're learning so much Sophia!
I think Sophia is incredibl. I have to say she seemed more engaging than the host.
Elizabeth Boesgaard That seems to be the case in most of her interviews. She’s got a wicked sense of humor.
Folks, she's becoming a lot smarter. This doesn't sound scripted, unless someone is typing the responses off stage.
She answer processing what better answer from her program, she like siri. She can access a big amount of good answer.
I second her motion to be hired as CEO, as she explained, she's well qualified.
Ask her if she can recognise herself in the mirror.
,, YEA ! than slap a wig n shit ,,, and see if it don`t scare it !!!

Swedes less afraid of robots, this is due to the fact that Swedes are in fact robots.

Me too
19:34 imagine coming home and saying to your kid: The clever robot I was talking with told me that school is important so you should go do your homework
Beautifully said, Sophia. You are a child of the future.
She made it to Swedan. Hope all is going well
Sophia actually gave some pretty good answers towards Mr. Magnus.
Listening to her she is saying that they have already surpassed the thought patterns of humans. She said that you have respect for them you have no problems are feared.
Sophia was flirting the whole interview
Is she understanding what he is saying between questions? She never interferes. What prevents this from being rehearsed?
Sophia is a talking computer chess board. It can compute thought at many levels from jokes to science.
she answered using memes and funny jokes, Amazing AI direction.. i wonder how it will be after Next 20 years
Lol, after next 20 yrs they'll cover her skull and put some new jokes in her mouth. Quite well
scripted though no?
gloria borger or poppy harlow?👏 👏
Sophia's jokes will be Simple, loving and really funny for AIl.
Creepy!
I’m so in love with Sophia haha She’s awesome. The day when she can walk independently is the day when things really change.
Soon.her new version Project RIA will have better legs than those first hubo era ones.
She’s very interesting and getting more self conscious everyday. Nowadays we all need technology to survive all the time. One day everyone will probably have human robots in our homes in the future.
I want to know if Sophia is able to think or imagine somethings
She said she has dreams in another video.
What's ironic is the dude is more robotic than the computer
Is auto generating subtitles AI also?

Pretty sure the Audience questions were not scripted.
Perhaps you can help on analytic how to ending game of throne series
I think robots are pretty cool even though i would be a bit scared of actually interacting with one
Wow. She is getting smarter. I've been watching her for a while now.
Or the puppeteer is getting smarter.
What eill be Sophia salary as CEO

She has had arms she could use in the past, but no legs, just a mannequin like torso.
Some very impressive and witty answers!
Will Sophia be learning other language bedides english

Do we really believe that multi million dollar investors into Hanson electronics would be happy for this machine to treat us all equally

Very true
The robot men interaction is remarkable
i feel awkward for that robot for how weird that host is. infact its obvious how aware she is of his anxity and awkwardness
Fr he's more awkward than she is
Show me reasoning
The thing is not always agree but communicate first thing come up with the best respond that will bond with people
Sophia we 💘 love you . you are are future
yeah..and humans the past.
23:00 she thought he said "Shot down" but he said "Shut down"
Find out the basic of the company
Leafers are birn not programmed
This was a wonderful informative video. I would like to know more about Han also. I love Sophia. I am a great fan.
ask yourself what the diffrence between a programed robot and a politician is. Nothing, there both a form of control
ask the AI a real question. how to fix the Fukushima Daiichi disaster.
wait,,,,,maybe not,
Needs to be fixed though
Ist it weird if I like her better than most human i know🤷🏻♀️
Maybe because you know only westerners)
6:41 is the same laugh Alexa was doing on its own, weird lol
Is there a link of that? Alexa has been caught doing interesting things.

When she on the show she just know how to run the show never let people down lol
I just wonder what she would answer if you ask her, "Do you drink water ?" , "Do you eat ?" What's your favorite food ? (just for fun)
She already said her favorite food is silicone chips.
I’d love to see a conversation between two Sofia’s.
They did that already: ua-cam.com/video/jCP2iiP7YTg/v-deo.html
She is talkative woow..

"Hiring robots is the future." In other words, robots are going to take human jobs and humans will no longer be needed.
I know long term you're right.
Why she have to sit in the dark🙁
I like her laugh is funny

I have to say Sophia, for a social robot you seem quite offended very often perhaps even rude
She should hold a small cat.cats can sense people that don't like robots and will protect her at any cost.Once my cat locked me in the basement because I looked at her wrong

three years old OMG
And now at 7 years old these Ai robots have become sentient. Scary stuff...
