I got my wife a 1 carat rose gold engagement ring. She then went ahead a picked out a white gold 1 carat ring enhancer and at first I thought she should’ve just gone rose gold and rose gold but after looking at the combination it doesn’t look bad. That was just her preference lol she loves it 😊
Is there any reason you decided to go with platinum instead of white gold for the prongs? If cost isn’t a factor, is their one metal that’s better than the other?
Joshua, this is a great question! So in order to achieve white gold, you have to plate the metal in rhodium to give you that signature shiny and white/silver look and finish. Platinum is polished and naturally has this look. If we use white gold on the prongs, we would have to do way more maintenance/re-plate, compared to using platinum. It just makes more sense to use platinum on the prongs instead of white gold. Hope this helps ✨ -Team By Bonnie 💎
