- What’s the link between oral health and Alzheimer’s? New research is bolstering the idea that the brain disease is linked to gum disease. Heirloom veggies are a delicious way to take care of your teeth and gums!
Previous studies have established a link between gum disease and Alzheimer’s. But in new research published this week in the journal Science Advances, researchers reported slowing the neurodegenerative effects of the bacteria Porphyromonas gingivalis, or Pg, in mice using an experimental treatment aimed at blocking the bacteria.

This video is a life saving… I am getting better with my bucal infections…
Great video!
Thanks so much
Where would I buy the purple veggies?
do I need to eat it raw?
Love this video! Question though, can I cook them?
It won't be as effective as the crunchiness would be lost and the vitamin/mineral content is lessened after cooking as well.
@@RareSeedsBC Really appreciate your quick reply:-)
I had read the study you referenced earlier this week. When I saw this video in my subs feed, I almost passed it by until I remembered the study and the implications of dementia are what made me click. After all, who couldn't use better oral hygiene? Imagine my surprise when the first thing you mentioned was that report!
Love celery but it makes my mouth hurt.
Wow grocery store I go or my commune store
Never heard of any of these vegetables and i'm 58 yrs old.
Wow, how is that possible?
@1:32 is where it starts y'all welcome
"Brain disease" and gum disease are NOT the same thing. My Father lost several teeth to gum disease, but was sharp as a tack until the day he died.
Okay! Doctor
thats good news..
Ofc they are not the same. That’s not at all what she said. She said there’s a coronation between the two
She didn’t say they were the same. She said they were related.
It isn't new.
#drobaedo on UA-cam finally got rid of my 2 years bad breath for me 😊…
My loose teeth 🦷 hurts at the sound and thought of eating carrots 🥕.
Maybe juicing these vegetables will make a positive difference
GO VEGAN :)
Is vegan the best food for periodontitis?
@@pdswrld5200 Best food for teeth in general are fatty foods. Grass fed meat, milk, fermented cod liver oil, liver, zero processed foods, no sugars, veggies and some fruit. No nuts or break or pasta. also regular dental car and flossing
Please read Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston A Price. Fiber isn't going to give you great teeth. It's nutrient dense animal foods that will.
Whats nutrient dense means?
Pete Martinez eggs liver sardines
