I really want to thank you for showing me the trick in loading film. Thanks to you I'm getting up to 40 exposures from all of my rolls of film. Also, I love the TC. This video inspired me to buy one. I have so many Konica cameras now as well as Hexanon lenses.
I have a Konica autoreflex T3 and while it is not the exact same one as in the video it is still great. (It seems to be at least but I havn't developed any film taken with it yet.) Also there is one thing which I feel is worth mentioning, I don't know if it is the same on that camera but it does look similar. On my model the shutter button does not return back up if you turn the meter off while it is pressed, you can use this in "bulb" mode to get long exposures. (Yes the instructions mension this so I am pretty sure it is intended.) The self timer lever on mine does however not work, it just spins around and is not connected to the actual timer mechanism. As everything else works I think I will just leave it as is since it is not exactly the most important part of the camera.
Nice video! Loved to see your technique on holding the film with the thumb while slowly using the film advance lever, very educational! I'm really bad with my hand technique but I will certainly try to replicate what you did on my next roll of film :) Also, I really like the segment of that camera, since it is lightweight with the lens you have (excluding the 200mm, eheh), it is mechanical and it is reliable "just enough". I will try to get a new video on my channel soon, either about the Yashica FX-D or the Contax 167MT. Cheers!
Always enjoy your videos Peter - I missed this one. These are lovely little cameras that were a little ahead of their time in some ways I'd say. I very much enjoy the T4 which borrowed quite a bit from this design.
Sorry but I do not have teh Video Skills to do close-up s about Light Seal Replacement BUT there are MANY already on here about that subject -- put into the 'Search' bar ' Foam Light Seal Replacement' and see what come up.
You will not be able to get the 2x 1.35 Volt Mercury Batteries as they are discontinued-- you can use a separate meter or 'Guess' the exposure settings ! Also, check to see if that Japanese FOAM sealing around the back is still good -- I had to replace it on mine.
Thank you for this content. I wondered if these cameras are still serviceable? I have my eye on one that comes with 4 lenses. I'm just not sure if I will be able to repair it if I encounter any issues as the camera is not film tested.
@@theoldfilmbloke I've just received it. It's in a fairly poor state but the shutter fires. Searching for a place to service it. Will let you know how it turns out if you are interested. Thanks again for the content.
Hello, so I have one that I haven’t been using for a long time but i was wondering how much would it cost if im to sell it or, if it even is worth anything although I saw TC’s being sold on eBay for more than $100 so im not sure.
Of course-- if you have NO BATTERIES in camera you cannot use it on the AE aperture priority exposure setting, only set teh apertures off AE and use a separate meter.
Sorry- not sure what you mean -- you can use all the Shutter Speeds without a battery as battery powers only the inbuilt meter. Not sure what you mean by 'only get a reading at 1/1000th' as if batteries are dead or NO batteries you would NOT get ANY 'reading'

Hi, I want to thank you for this informative video, I just found my father´s camera and I didnt know a single thing about it but this helped. :)

Thanks for the video! I need to replace my light seals and was wondering if you could do a tutorial?

I love the Konica Autoreflex T series and the Hexanon lenses! The 1.7/50mm is legendary.
Thanks for viewing -- I will use it again shortly -- I use all my 'treasures' in turn !
Thank you for this video! I've had this exact camera sitting on my desk for a long time. I'm going to see if I can get it going.

I found the Weincell px625 batteries online. They work well. That's what I use with mine.
I just got this camera yesterday for $35, but my wind up is jammed, how would I unjam it?
You could try taking off the base-plate and seeing how the cogs are jammed but really it needs a Camera Repair Technician.

Not sure if they can be serviced -- there are no 'Importers' for those cameras now either.

Thanks! This was helpful! 👍

As well as the konica uc zoom-hexanon ar 80-200 f4?
Konica was not a 'well-known' Brand -- I think the camera with standard lens you might get £ 30 for it.
Thank you, this really helped me
Thanks for the video Peter, very informative.
+AdaptedAlpha : Glad you enjoyed it ! I will take it out on another 'Run' shortly ! ( Been using my 'Gift' MINOLTAS lately )

The shutter stuck on mine, have no idea why. It was working fine one minute, then the shutter sticks. (Timer lever doesn't work either).
Maybe there is some dirt or oil got onto shutter blades -- that is all I can suggest .
Hi there. I have the same camera but the meter inside don't seem to work. I only get reading at shutter speed 1000. Any idea ? thanks !
