Jesus the guy already spent a few hours minimum of his time putting the tutorial together with the split screen of tabs with an active tracker and the other screen of him strumming and playing all for free and you still want more huh. You probably don’t even have your time premium so there whole thing is 100% free for you, and you do know that you tube allows you to pause rewind and change the playback speed to any of their videos. So god forbid you get out the old pen and paper and go thru the tutorial writing the chords down as you go like any musician who grew up before you tube and had to read Sheet music, and copy friends tab books for songs you liked. People have gotten so lazy nowadays to the point that it’s becoming rude. To the creator of this video, if you’re even reading this longwinded post still. Love this. I am a somewhat of a beginner/intermediate player. I notice you do what I was taught to do also. The thumb plays the 4,5,and 6 string. The index plays the 3rd, the middle finger plays the 2nd, and the ring finger plays the 1st. Is this cast in stone? I have seen guitar instructors play the third and second strings with their thumb. What is best? What do you suggest? Thank you.
Sorry for the late reply! Yes this is a great foundation to work from and true most of the time, but there are certainly times where you'll have to break those rules. You'll see me do it all the time 😊

So first of all make sure you're using the right fingers, same as mine to make the stretch (Index for 1 and Ring for 3), however if you're struggling to reach whilst holding them down, instead just play the 1 and let go as you move to play the 3, it should sound fine even if not both held down 😊
