70013 'Oliver Cromwell' Takes Full Charge Of The Cotswold Venturer - 2018

B.R 70013 puts on a superb show as it hauls the Cotswold Venturer over Oxfordshire the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire. With it's mainline ticket on the verge of expiring this was probably the last real chance to see a Britannia class on a pure steam hauled trip with no diesel assistance. I decided to play it safe on locations, with the old tried and tested spots, to show off the Brit bark to full affect and rightfully so, as her vocal chords were on point.
Locations were, Culham, Culham Station, Paxford, Chipping Campden and in finally in the fading light at Eckington Loop, with the loco seen at speed against a strong southerly wind !

Very well done there and it seems 70013 wanted to put on a great show for us all as I won't be seeing it again this year (probably!!) You decided to go to the other side of Campden bank- with my preference for speed I decided against it and headed to Honeybourne to see it come off the end of the bank! I'm telling you now- I got what I wanted!
