I'm thoroughly amazed to see an exceptionally narrow strip of road at the entrance and a front yard which is more than required. This is what happens when people keep "I can encroach more and more into the public space" mindset. I'm amazed at the entire scenario but the gate.
I don’t understand this blanket statement. You would not be able to just encroach on public space since you do not own the land. At least not here in the US. I live in a city and you are allowed to put a fence exactly on your property line on three sides, but of course that includes your footings for that fence must be within your property. I have friends that live in suburban areas, and they have much larger setback guidelines about where they can put a fence. It depends on where you live and what the local code requires.

For example, I am now planning to build my own house. the road is 12' on the front. So, Now I am looking at the author's design to incorporate the same. It doesnt mean 12' means other part of the road is occupied. It means the 12' was when my grand father has shared the land between his sons and at that time car was not even a thought. But fast forward 40 yrs, its a different scenario. same might be the author's situation as well. Besides having just 12' road, I have my plot which is just 25 feet wide. hence planning is all about considering the situation and making best solution to fit the situation as well as futuristic requirements. I think in future, he will remove the centre gate and makes it a bigger and full front open gate (which is my current plan approach).

@@sadhgurumysticfanclubhindi288 strong as its could.....cuz all gate that too short are easy to climb.... Undidnt expect a burgla to destroy the door ,right?... Also glass door can be easily break but we still have a lot of glass window and door ,cuz its make noise when its break....
The seven plates(glass?/fibre? ) fixed horizontally in every gates may help others to climb up... but if they were arranged vertically that climbing will not possible...anyway a good design for "way IN" and "way OUT"...!!! 👌
My question is how is the track laid at the driveway entrance? Is is recessed into the ground? My thought is yes because otherwise a car would destroy the track by driving over it. This idea would be perfect for my driveway since there is limited space.
I like it I needed similar solution at my home. It's really very difficult for me to park my sedan inside my gate. Everytime I need someone to help me getting in through my gate
