ROTTWEILER VS BELGIAN MALINOIS [1080p]

  • Hello everybody !
This time Hector met my friends Belgian Malinois (Ulrich).
They saw each other for the very first time - both of them are quite dominant so we decided they should wear a muzzle.
Normally Hector is a very friendly dog, he loves everything besides of cats.
But this time he got pretty mad, because Ulrich was very dominant too and tried to lead the pack.
Both dogs are fine, even after this intense clash.
Thats the most important thing for me and my friend.
    Stats:
    Hector - 3 years old - 55kg (121 lbs)
    Ulrich - 2 1/2 years old - 30 kg ( 66 lbs)
Be sure to check out my other videos about Hector.
It would be great if you subscribe the channel so i can show you more things about Hectors life.

@@the_rottweiler_experience A muzzle just added frustration to an already stressful situation. IMO, not a good idea as much as you think. The mouth is their only means of defense and with a new unpredictable dog around (to them) you are basically making them feel defenseless which heightens aggressiveness.
Who knows, without it they might not have attacked each other and only did so in the video out of frustration.
There is a reason Schutzhund dogs do muzzle training, and one reason is so that it frustrates them to attack a bite in a more fierce way when it is finally off.
More than likely the dogs arent fighting to death anyway if they were to get into an altercation. Putting on a muzzle was a misstep in this situation, IMO/E

The reason why we decided, that our dogs should wear a muzzel was because we didnt want them to get hurt.
We already knew, that the mal had a lot of problems with other dogs before... and so we dont wanted them too hurt each other badly.

Abuse isn't called for but physical assertiveness always is. that being said, it can be quite challenging and often takes a long time to fix learned behaviors in a mature dog. if they weren't trained from youth, it can be hard to break their will to do whatever gets them excited. Sometimes, a muzzle is needed. doing it this way is a good way to socialize aggressive dominant dogs without them severely injuring one another.

A Rottweiler on average has 50-60% more body mass than a malinois. So even if that Malinois got a hold of the Rottweilers neck it might still end up dead. Most likely scenario is that the Malinois ends up dead on the scene and the Rottie ends up severely if not mortally wounded. This is also sick I don’t know why the whole comment section is about which would kill the other. There is a reason dog fighting is illegal its because it is fucked up and disgusting.

I can see why, Mali's tend to be nippy if not socialized properly, rottweilers look scary but are actually really sweet. That's not to say mals aren't affectionate, cause they are truly like Velcro,my mal follows me everywhere and when we're out she will look back every 2 seconds and will lift my whole arm when I stop petting her. Anyway both good breeds but also both very different, a Mal needs to work and has to have a shit ton of mental and physical excercise and for that reason I'd say a rottweiler would suit most people better and makes for a better family dog.

I have a 20 month old Belgian Malinois and he is a very playful dog with some breeds of dogs but if a dominant dog comes over he turns in to a beast , he beat a 20 month old rottweiler the other day , my dog was on his lead before anyone says anything as I know my dog would have had a fight , I spotted the rottweiler and kept him on his lead , but the man let his dog come to him of his lead and they had a fight , he had to drag my dog of his dogs neck and got bite in the process, Malinois are very very powerful, he has a prong collar and can still pull me over with that on if something shoots out unexpected like a cat , I did bite of more than I can chew , but its way to late now , he is family, and yes they do bark alot all day everyday at the slightest sound , motorcycle, bins , next doors visitors , post man , anything that comes near tiur house , he was rough with my small kids , but as he is growning he is way more gentle , they need shit loads of walking and attention or they get destructive and do thing to get your attention, they are definitely for active people , strong minded people and who arnt scared qhen they go off ,

We own a dutchie and two shepweilers (one of the shepweilers has some dobie)...and thankfully they all get along famously. At times they play rough and tumble, but no actual fighting and they always take turns rolling over in submission. Good call using the muzzles.

The BM has a very strong prey drive. Even properly socialize they will kill squirrels, rabbits and neighbors cats if they can get their hand on them. They are not the greatest with kids either. They are excellent guard dogs though and can oftentimes develop a one man master temperament in the household.

Just had a similar situation with my Border Collie. A German Shepherd ran into her full force and knocked her down. My Border Collie, pissed off, and trying to avoid the Shepherd at first, chased it and kept going for its neck for about 30 Seconds before I could stop her. She Isn't usually aggressive but sometimes a rough Dog just has to get put in its place.

    Learn to read dogs.
There was no real aggression, just some “testing” from two dogs meeting each other for the first time trying to find out who is the most dominant.
Doesn’t take anything away from the fact that the muzzle was a very good idea 👍

That’s the compromise with a Malinois, a faster, more athletic and more agile dog over pure brute force and strength of something like a Rottweiler. That’s why I consider the Spanish Alano the dog of dogs, it has the speed and agility of a Malinois but the strength and brute force of a mastiff.
