It's wild, because I remember an interview with Max with one of the lead developers, and in that interview, max asks the Dev about shamans and if they will be getting some love, and the Dev literally says "I hope so, I will be maining a Shaman, so they better." Guess that was just a lie.
Really cool changes overall. They should really look at shaman a bit more.

If I had a penny for every time we were told they were making improvements that sound good on paper which is what people overhype, but turns out to be the complete opposite when the day comes.... I'd dethrone Elon Musk.
tranq darts talent removal does nothing now that it dispels 2 effects base lol. all it did was help vs druid melee cleaves cuz dispelling 1 person would dispel both the melees since theyre on each other
So you'll have less gear week 3 than you did before even of you get free weapons.
There were many classes that picked up their weapons week 1 and 2 over everything else because their weapons matter a lot. I'm talking 1h melees, 1h caster weps.
Almost everyone else picks up weapons week 2.
Changing it so you can't even get weapons until week 3 is kind of wild.

I hope they don’t have a bloody token guy. I always felt obligated to do all that world pvp early on to keep up with everyone else who has that gear.
I been using a haste build on my monk for ages, even with Alpha, no harm done here.

Good changes tbh. Auto purge/dispel mechanics are stupid and its not fun to play against. I hope they would nerf mobility and gap closers aswell. I think they should also reduce the amount off cc classes have, like what they did with Unholy Dk in these notes. Theres to much cc and micro cc in the game... they should also change mobility for some classes. Beeing able to have 100% uptime against certain classes is not fun.

Grounding totem should be baseline, feral lunge as well as Burrow. Our only burst is Bolt/Blast>Primordial Wave>Bolt/Blast. That's pretty much it. We used to bring utility that other specs didn't but DH's have a purge, and Hunters have a better Greater Purge than we do with Tranq shot being 10 seconds instead of out Greater Purge being 12. Since we don't have mortal wounds we'd add value by purging and having a ranged interrupt and buff totems but that's not unique. We have some of the worst mobilty. Imo bring back Tremor useable while feared as a PvP talent and make crit and vers scaling a thing for enhance.
I also think Poly and fear should have a 12 sec CD

Wtf is this strangulate sh@#. Sp got stun and silence, boomi got cyclon and bash. Locks got 3 abilities to fear but dk need only silence or stun. Wtf

I just love when they remove abilities and that were never taken and putting them In again to say it’s new or just for the sake of changes. Make some new original PvP talents please .
My Enh is 100% benched. Guess I'll reroll Ret so at the very least I can bubble to survive a few seconds before the 2 un-nerfed DHs in every fucking lobby perma CC my entire team then global me.
Ask them if we can get PvP Tooltips please. So hard to track all the modifiers when looking at talent trees and actual abilities

I will honestly never understand why blizzard insists on keeping pvp in the core game? Why not make a WOW arenas version of the game that we can start up and have the choices of gear like as in stats but not have to grind then make it so that we have to pay for mogs and then make all the rewards mogs so that people that just want to play pvp can and if they need a break they can just return, it is clear that most can't stand the grinds and if your calling this a competitive game then saying that a player deserves better gear for spending the tie then your all messed up. I know so many people that would love to play arena but they are not willing to go through the BS. If they did this more people would enjoy the game because they then don't have to nerf and buff according to PVE, it would be better for all. People will cry and argue that PVE is the core of the game and say that it was never meant to be a PVP game but watch everyone cry when they take pvp and give it it's own version because most people actually don't care about PVE. I don't mind a little pve in classic now and then but in retail I wouldn't ever think about jumping in a dungeon or raid because it's so mind numbingly boring going into content where it just looks like a light show for nothing
All I know is if another game does this first and the gameplay is similar enough to wow I will be running for it, it's such a broken thing today for a game to force you to get gear to compete and if your a pro crying that you deserve better gear because your higher rated then you can't be that good at the game, just because someone has more friends to play with at the start of a season should never mean they get a massive damage increase to any other players is so backwards, this is the exact reason why WOW is the only competitive game out today with every player being a pro since comp in the game began, there is a reason no younger guys ever come up the ladder and it's time to wake up and move on. Players that only pve seem to think PVP is not part of the game so lets separate them?

they need to reduce cc. like they already did from odl days, when long cc chains were a thing. but it's not enough. problem is, it takes too much skill for regular players to pull off cc chains and i just hit 2100 on my resto sham. my first 2100 ever. im in tears, the way people play there, every one min maxed, kicks go off every time CD up, micro cc chained one into another, properly chained. shit is just unplayable. and losing rating there is so painful. blizz need to relax it a bit. i also felt like i was literally played same people. took me 2 days, 10 hour sessions to go from 2000 to 2100.
Duel for warriors should have stayed 8 seconds. Just need them to remove static field totem for rshams and compensate with something less toxic

3:15 yes it was a talent in the druid tree.
And yes 5 yrds more range to Cyclone and such is pretty good seeing as how it's 25 yrds instead of 40 like other spells, now making it 30 with the talent.

Removing JoP and replacing it with instant turn evil is at best a mediocre exchange. JoP was one of the maybe 4 useful PvP talents ret had. Their PvP talents have been gutted to the floor and their are two talents that are standards with two others that are situational. The turn evil talent should have included instant repentance. Only melee that has to cast their cc if talented. And no enhance casting hex is not the same when they can root into hex, drop incapacitator totem, the aoe binding totem or lightning lasso. You can argue that ret can opt for blinding light but that’s not always an option if you run heavy aoe comps or dot comps. Also with all the snares and micro cc in the game JoP helped alleviate classes just completely controlling your character albeit some classes like boom and ele had a bad time keeping up dots it made no difference as they don’t cast regardless 95 percent of the match. Make them hard cast their big dmg, get rid of the 10mil micro roots snares and cc and then the JoP changes and inner fire changes are even across the board

If they make rep instant, they would have to nerf it. Either reduce duration to 5 seconds again, or give it 45 sec cd instead of 15 to make it more in line with other melee available instant cc. Would you prefer that?
Yes. Remember when repentance was ret-only and was 6 second duration with a 1 minute cooldown? That's the way it should have always been.
