Color match is definitely the way to go, great choice and a great product. I’d do the lower valence too, I agree that it nicely breaks up the massive black grille.

Lower valence is sick. Love the chrome delete. Non of them should come with chrome. It’s just not tasteful it’s gaudy. The fact that this product even exists should let Toyota know they shouldn’t do that chrome. Definitely an upgrade!

Agreed. Toyota (and all vehicles IMO) should have chrome as an option for extra, not standard. Matte black or color match should be default.

I’m putting the same color on my Silver 1794 and heritage grill.
Great video. Looks sooo much better. Love every angle on the Tundra, but hate the oversized grill - always thought it looked like a big mouth catfish. Truck looks great now. Now, if they can just integrate the ipad on the dash to be more seemless and the late 80s Lincoln Towncar(ish) tail-lights, we're getting close to perfection.
Just did the exact thing on my 2023 trd off road. I had the bright chrome. What an improvement! Mine is midnight black so no need really for lower cover by the fog lights

Yes to the valance mod. The only place the color seems like a mismatch is the panels next to the air intakes. I wouls like to see one for the blue to see how close it is.

I think the dark chrome looks good with the mgm. My truck is ag, and wondering how that might have looked if offered. But I have the brushed metal mustache, which doesn’t look great, imo. So I will be color matching and de- caroming when the parts come in.

I say definitely put on the color matched valence. It’ll give it a unique look vs app the TRD PROs. Also, it breaks up all the black on the front end

I hope you see this and can answer it. But I have the exact Platinum you have and I want to put the same size tires/lift. It looks like you are able to pull in your garage. Think you could measure your garage door hight for me? I want to know if I am going to be able to fit my truck in there before I pull the trigger. Awesome vids by the way. Most of them are about things I was already thinking of doing and your videos really help a lot.

Color match covers makes it look better. Chrome of any shade is no bueno!
Plus the covers are a protective layer that can be damaged then replaced way cheaper than the OEM chrome.

DO IT! That colour matched valance looks WAY better! Biggest problem I have with that truck is the grill looks way too big. Colour match fixes it.

The grill itself is not to large but it doesn’t end, it just transitions into the bumper, and that is what makes the grill look too large.

Looks great but I would have liked the dark chrome on my truck.
Instead of the cover get some letters from Tuffskinz for the front Tundra on the valence and for the Toyota on the grille. I did that for my 2023 Limited (put on the heritage grille) and it looks great.

Love all your videos, definitely preferred the dark chrome, mostly because it worked well with the mgm paint but also it just says platinum. Either way truck is killer.
Dude it was a hard decision. But I love supporting American business and wanted to showcase an option for those looking to color match their trucks as well.

I'm reading some people are having excessive tire wear on the outside fronts on trd pro. Anyone having this issue?
I think that is why Toyota added upper control arms on the new TRT pro to help with alignment

Late to the party…. I’d leave the valence off. If I had your dark mustache on gray I’d be tempted to leave it alone. But…. If I was in the process of replacing the grille I would also replace the mustache with a color matching one too while everything was torn apart.
