For those last stubborn stains in the toilet bowl, empty out as much water as you can and fill it with the cheapest, most sugary most fatty coca cola. Keep it in there for as long as possible (over night ideally) and it should lift the timescale which is what is being stained there.
There's nothing as mentally draining and exhausting and just overall horrendous as anxiety around visas. The feeling of not 'belonging' where you fell you belong and DO belong. I feel you and I know how hard it is and I hope it will make a 180 and you can find a solution! x
I know exactly how you feel, we moved from South Africa to New Zealand 6 years ago... our first residency application got declined, payed $5000 to appeal😳.... that got declined, reapplied a year later and got approved🎉the stress and uncertainty was soooooo hard to deal with.....and the relief when it got approved priceless.... keeping al my fingers and toes crossed for you😘😘
At the university where I used to work, there was a big department that helped grad students, fellows AND THEIR SPOUSES to get approved by immigration. Make sure Ed tells his advisor that you were rejected and see if they can find some funds to offer him a position and put that in writing so you can include it in your appeal packet. Make sure the letter from Ed's department is specific about grant or salary amounts and insurance coverage etc. I'm sorry you were rejected! Make sure Ed enlists all the help he can get from his department!! x
You are so strong Fran. I would never have the courage to live as an immigrant, especially in the USA where people seem so unwelcome for Latin people. Good luck with this application situation.
Im glad you are able to finally heal fran, you absolutely deserve it. im wishing you all the luck in the world for the green card, hopefully it was just a mistake on their side, im sure your lawyer will be able to solve this for you! (also yes, you are effin' glowing recently!!!)
It's cool to remember when you moved to US, you complained about how there was only a tiny window to get light and now you have those massive windows ♡ (from someone Who also struggles with tiny windows, this is something i remember lol)
It is not self centered or selfish to want security! You deserve to have security just like anyone else and to have the feelings and stress you have around instability. Good luck and I hope you find a lot of small happinesses in this hard time 💖
Dear Fran, Send you all my affection from Paris, France. After the rain, the sun and good weather. ✨ My best wishes for all your future projects. Take care of yourself.
It’s the usual American government way to reject most applications, without reading them at first. Perhaps to weed out the people who aren’t that serious. The second round is usually better. I hope everything goes well and you can truly enjoy your new apartment. 💜
sending all the ~*good luck vibes*~ I can muster for your green card application and wherever else you may need them ♥︎ you are one of my secret internet bffs ♥︎
I have been in similar situation, I was battling with paper work since I am 19 when I left my home country and now I am 31 and finally became a citizen. It just reminded me how difficult it was dealing with these process, lawyers, papers, ignorant officers... I really wish you a good luck and I hope everything will go well. you are amazing, sending you positive vibes from Spain. un abrazo
FRAN you are allowed to want things easier, you deserve the world! Sending good vibes your way and I hope everything gets resolved. Siempre mando mucho amor en tu direccion!
every time i watch ur videos i want to give you a hug and tell you u are doing great. ur such a gentle and nice person yet u r always so apologetic and i want you to know you do not need to apologize everything you said, the emotions you may be going through, the hardships you may be dealing with, and the happiness you experience are all valid. your presence on this platform is warm and inviting. i’m currently in the process of applying for DACA. i understand that the world has so much piled on to the shoulders of immigrants and women. keep creating and sharing ur doing more for us than u might even realize. 🥺💕
You're really not ungrateful Fran, it's important to you. I remember when I applied for a visa to go to canada to study, everything was right, and it was denied and they only said "we have not enough evidence that you will leave the country" even though I was still in college and living with my parents. I felt like a failure, still I feel guilty for making my parents spend all that money.
I just wanna say this - Thank you fran, for making these videos amidst your mental health,covid-19 situation and what not!!! I hope and pray for your green card issues to be resolved soon!! You got this fran! Lots of love❤
Oh fran, you spoke to my heart when you shared your feelings towards how each time everything is extra challanging for you. I am feeling the same and it is a dark place.. It is difficult to remain positive but still possible. 😞🌺
You know, I absolutely identify with what you are saying about an uphill life. That's been my experience as well. With you in solidarity, and sending good thoughts!
You have this energy about you that everything will work out. Even if you can't see it right now, you just give off this warm energy that life will work itself out
Hello from France ! My sister had her first application rejected. She appealed and it worked. Different people ...But she had to pay again the application (around $600 if I remember) and her lawyer. So don’t give up ! Your new place looks great. I enjoy reading your comments in Spanish because your Spanish is much closer to French than Castillan (the Spanish from Spain) 😂 I can read it and understand it all. Take care and yes you are glowing ! And you have the right to be upset ! Who wouldn’t be ?
Fran I am so so sorry about your green card...I can't imagine how you must be feeling but I hope that many avenues to reverse the outcome present themselves to you. You are such a bright spot for so many people and I appreciate you so much. Sending you love and hope and asking the universe to cut you a freakin break.
You are such an inspiration for me as a small and lost artist in south america. You deserve only the best things life has to offer and im sending good vibes from Brasil for you to get your greencard!! Thank you for showing us the ups and downs of life as an artist
Yes you are right! Cleaning/ mooving vlogs are super relaxing! :) Loved every part of it! Also I'm jealous of you that you can clean without gloves, I wish I didn't have eczema on hands. Also I hope your green card situation will become better! Just know that we are here to support you!
3 things: 1. watching your videos is one of my fav things in the morning, Fran. They motivate and make me calm at the same time. Thank you so so so much for sharing them. 2. I just figure that they motivate me because there's this strong woman going through the perks and wonders of life, having the ups and downs and always fighting to live the dream. Just seeing this makes me wanna go after my goals AND KNOWING that the path is not easy. 3. I hope this situation gets ok and over soon! (great cleaning vlog, though!) Sending my good energy from Brazil!
So sorry that you're having trouble with getting your green card. I went through something similar but in Europe, and I'm not sure if it's the same in the US, but for us one issue was that the employees dealing with applications have very little training (don't need any qualifications to get the job pretty much) and basically just go off of a basic checklist. For people with special circumstances (like working freelance), that usually results in an automatic denial. But you know, as long as you have a good lawyer that you trust, it will be okay. It's likely your new application will be reviewed by a different worker, and that can make all the difference. I took the appeal route and it was grueling. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. But if it comes to it, if you go to court, at least you're dealing with immigration lawyers now, who actually know what they're doing, instead of the regular employees (who likely don't know the requirements/law very well). So it tends to go smoothly after that. It just sucks that it takes so long and costs so much, both financially and emotionally, when it really doesn't need to. I hope your situation will be resolved without so much hassle! Fingers crossed!
I know exactly what you mean by things always having to be hard and really yearning for just one thing to go the way you planned them. I feel like that a lot too! I’m sending you all the strength and good luck for this time to pass quickly and everything turning out fine 🍀💗 Hang tight. You can do it, Fran 💗🍀
I have been following you for years as a dedicated illustration graphic designer. You are inspiring and I love that you show the reality of what it is to be an artist. It's more than Instagram, it's also about having doubts and moments of weakness. You are doing great. I wish you the best and courage for the future, everything will be fine. LOVE, Jules
I'm so sorry you are going through all this. Visas are such a hard thing to explain to people. The wait and uncertainty just to live your life in the place you want to (and do in your mind) call home. I've been in visa hell for about 4 years now and I just hope they realise what an incredible human you are. Life is definitely making you hike to the top of the hill instead of strolling at the moment but I hope the view is beautiful when you get to the top.
I hear you. You aren't alone in your experience. I was a business owner for 11 years and it was a never-ending uphill battle. Life has a funny way of getting us where we are supposed to be. Sometimes we don't understand. All we can do is our best. You have done the best that you can at every stage. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We can now include you in our intentions. The more the better. Chin-up. Kia kaha arohanui.
Good luck Fran..Your kind nature and inspirational art and content makes you a huge asset to the US or anywhere else for that matter. Genuinely hope this is resolved as soon as possible for you. Sending best wishes from the UK x
I am glad you opened up about your greencard process. I too also feel like i am always climbing a hill in my life, and nothing is ever just smooth, i just want one thing to go right. But i also feel bad for complaing because i know there are people that have it worse. I have been feeling like this for the past 5 years and noone around me seems to get it. Fingers crossed and i am sending you good vibes for your meeting with your lawyer.
Been watching you for quite a few years now and I'm just so sad that you're going through this. You're a literal angel who deserves nothing but the best. Thoughts and prayers xxx
Hola Fran. Vos podes! ✨
Oh Fran!! My heart goes out to you ❤️. Stay strong, and reapply. I hope you can find some peace in and amidst all the chaos and uncertainty around you. Also, I adore the panelling and parquet in your new apartment ❤️ For what its worth, you are living my fantasy life of being a successful globe-trotting illustrator. I know its not all easy... wherever you go though, all of that hard work and pure talent will help you land on your feet.
I'm sending you all the good vibes and cross all my fingers and toes that it will work out eventually! You are amazing and deserve all the good things!
All of your content makes me feel inspired. Everything about it has always pleased me. Since the first day! I hope you get well and can recover from your pains and sorrows. No matter how long it takes, don't give up!
Also, I'm so sorry about the green card situation and the leak in the apartment, among all the other stresses. We love you and are hoping the best for you.
Good luck with everything! I hope you get a break soon. It's hard wjen you feel like you have to fight for everything. Sometimes if I feel that way then I need a vacation.
Fran, I can’t believe your green card application was refused. I hope your lawyer figures it out for you. Consider moving to Canada if you have no other option - I know, it’s not NY - but we’d love to have you up here 🇨🇦💕 Lots of artist communities in Vancouver and on the Sunshine Coast in BC. 🎨
Man. I have lived overseas for much of my life and it can really make things complicated and tough. Ofcourse you deserve that freakin Green Card! I'm sure things will work out, but I really do know how you feel. It is so stressful, frustrating and totally deflated. I'm sorry Fran. Thank you for showing your real life, the ups and downs. And loved watching your calm soothing moving vlog. I am sure your new home will be a new smoother beginning and a better 2021.
Mucha luz hermosa Fran.
My kitty Daisy heard Hamburguesa crying and was trying to find him! I am so sorry for the green card issues. I really hope you can stay. We are lucky to have someone like you in the US 💕
I enjoy the videos.Your always real and open. The art I love. The reality of mental health I really appreciate. Keep your chin up.
To new beginnings! 😘
Thx for sharing Fran, i can't immagen how it must feel being rejected in a country where you feel so at home. Ik wish you strength, energy en a lot of good luck to overcome this setback. I sometimes find it hard to understand human society / rules / boundaries like these. We are alle humans stuck on the same rock after all. Love you
Hi Fran. I want to send you a wish to stay strong and confident as the beautiful person you are while you work through this struggle. I have no doubt it was an error with your application due to understaffing with covid and internal back logs. I love your channel , art and authenticity! You are such a wonderful human, thank you!
Hi Fran! I just wanted to say that I got to know your channel after getting to know your art, and that says a lot. Your art is so beautiful, and sincere and emotional, and just as funny and positive, just like you, here, being so honest about everything. And I can only wish you the best in the world, I hope that better days will come around, and that your green card will come on one of those days! a huge brazilian hug in you! ❤️✨
Hi Fran! I totally get where you are coming from especially when we have depression/ other mental illnesses. My husband is an immigrant from Ecuador and know how scary the process is. He has been very lucky and advanced super fast while I feel so stagnant in my art career. Lets keep working hard and pushing forward together
And now I've watched the rest of the video (I didn't watch a lot the past year) and I wish you all the luck with your visum. There are times bad luck comes your way, it seems, and all at the same time. But it will turn out right, keep your feet on the ground and stay close to yourself, good luck will come your way.
We love you! Thank you for a wonderful vlog. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this and I hope you stay here in the US. I love your content and you! Keep us posted and stay positive!!
Hi Fran, my family got a green card rejection before and we finally got it after so many years. I understand how frustrated and financially stressful it is to be rejected. Wish you good luck! I have faith in you! You are so talented and have inspired me so much both in life and in art 💙 Keep sharing pleaz💛💚
I hope that everything gets sorted it must be truly worrying to have your way of life on a knife edge. But with every door that shuts a new one opens, see this as an opportunity to something more amazing. You are so talented and inspiring, I can't see how nothing but great things are opening up for you. 🙏
Sorry to hear about your green card struggles. But I have to say, it is refreshing hearing you talk about your experience as an immigrant. I like in the uk so things aren't the same but for years I have felt a need to repress my "immigrant-ness" and the feeling that I can't talk about being an immigrant for whatever reason, so you being open about these things, even when negative, is refreshing. Best of luck and love to you! You are amazing and are deserving!
Mucha suerte!
I really hope everything get resolved soon, dearest Fran! I can really relate to the feeling that things seems to only be uphill and wanting at least a crumb of it to be a little easy. Let's hope things get smoother soon! Also, when you move out of a rental apartments or places in Sweden you must clean it after yourself, or else you'll get quite a hefty fee to pay. I'm so shocked to see that it was left like that! Good job on the cleaning!! Stay safe and I really hope things get better soon!
For limescale (the coppery stains) sprinkle citric acid, let sit then scrub. A green product also is soda crystals, and that’s good to clean your loo weekly. I recommend the dri-pack website they have lots of green cleaning tips
Cleaning the bathroom is art! It breaks my heart you didn’t receive your green card. You will succeed and receive it as soon as possible. I like your new apartment and I’m looking forward to seeing the big reveal! Love to the both of you. Someone needs some footies for laying on the couch! 🤣

I’m using this in my own life thank you
Thank you
This is why I'm here...the most wholesome comment section! xx
I want to know what is in the spray!! :))
You can also buy some vinegar at 14°. It is liquid or in gel which is very useful for the bathroom ^^
"I know you guys watch me for my art-"
Came for the art, stayed for the Fran and the coffee and jazzy tunes

I wish there were more ASMR videos of people just doing mundane things in their houses. So relaxing to watch.
You looked so good on that yellow skirt! I love how it marched the Blue-ish tank top and the pink of your hair. Nice combo!
You know, I absolutely identify with what you are saying about an uphill life. That's been my experience as well. With you in solidarity, and sending good thoughts!
You could upload a video where you are doing nothing and I would still watch it 😅
So this moving vlog is precious even if it isn’t art related🧡

I just wanna send you & Ed hugs and prayers. You are an amazing person and hopefully everything will be sorted soon 🙏🏻
Hola Fran.
Vos podes! ✨
I am sending to you my warmest virtual hugs, Fran! 🤗 Hopefully, things are going to be fine really-really soon. You are my Hero!
Hi Fran, you can also use pure vinegar to get rid of the stains in the toilet. Just pour it in and let it sit over night.
Your vlogs inspire me daily
Also, I'm so sorry about the green card situation and the leak in the apartment, among all the other stresses. We love you and are hoping the best for you.
Good luck with everything! I hope you get a break soon. It's hard wjen you feel like you have to fight for everything. Sometimes if I feel that way then I need a vacation.
This video makes so much more sense now :) 🌈
Also the title.
Thank you for being so open and honest Fran, I hope this next application goes well for you! xx
Here's hoping the best for you Fran. You will get it, you will. ❤
Mucha luz hermosa Fran.
My kitty Daisy heard Hamburguesa crying and was trying to find him! I am so sorry for the green card issues. I really hope you can stay. We are lucky to have someone like you in the US 💕

To new beginnings! 😘
Hang in there Fran! I truly hope that your appeal will go well. Please know that we support and appreciate you! 💗
💙 sending you good vibes
I hope You'll have it! You deserve it! Happy new home!
It will be alright! 🤗 Send you so much love!! ❤️❤️❤️
Nice to follow your moving vlog. Stay save and I wish you the best for your next week :)

You're brilliant fran. hope things get better soon.
Fingers crossed for you Fran, sending so many good wishes & love x
Hi Fran, my family got a green card rejection before and we finally got it after so many years. I understand how frustrated and financially stressful it is to be rejected. Wish you good luck! I have faith in you! You are so talented and have inspired me so much both in life and in art 💙 Keep sharing pleaz💛💚
A wish ALL is well. Good luck for you
We love you and hoping all goes well
I hope that everything gets sorted it must be truly worrying to have your way of life on a knife edge.
Usually I love moving vlogs but they hit different when you've also just moved 😅 So much work 😭
Mucha suerte!
Stay strong and believe in yourself! 🥰
I know it’s kinda late but sending you all my prayers and good vibes! Hope everything turns out the way you want it to be. ❤️
Really rooting for you and hope things get easier in many ways so soon!
Cleaning the bathroom is art! It breaks my heart you didn’t receive your green card. You will succeed and receive it as soon as possible. I like your new apartment and I’m looking forward to seeing the big reveal! Love to the both of you. Someone needs some footies for laying on the couch! 🤣
The “sweeping brush and ??” is called a dustpan. :) love your videos! Wish you all the best in your new place!
Sending thoughts and prayers your way Fran! I hope the appeal goes well and everything works out! 🙏🏼❤️
