This is the best youtube tutorial on jazz for the accordion. One of the reason being that it is the only one :-) Jokes aside, this is really good stuff.
I just love how you are explaining your thoughts… it’s really helpful! But where can I buy an accordion like yours that has all the right notes because mine seems to have a lot more wrong notes than yours!?! ;)
Hey Monsterbash, that's so cool. That is an instrument that I don't own, but a friend generously lent me for a month while I was spending time out in the desert. Do you love your SS4 Ernie Felice model? I was talking to the accrordion player who lent me the instrument, and he was talking about how amazing it is due to the full size body of the accordion, but only having two sets of reeds, instead of 3 or 4 sets, and the extra space inside of the instrument creates the amazing sound/resonance.
This is a great video, so informative and specific, explaining solid ideas and of course, wonderful playing. Thank you for posting!
Hello. This is a good example of the accordion being a good instrument to play. Thank you for posting this
Thanks so much for posting. After the live stream I was like “I wish I could watch that again”.
Thanks Dallas! Your guidance is really helpful as I strengthen my skills on playing jazz standards on the accordion 🪗
I'm so happy it's helpful. I plan to do more stuff like this. And probably a couple jazz chords courses coming up later this year.
Thank you for creating and sharing this video. Wonderful information provided. Kine regards.
You're welcome Gerhard. I'm very happy to hear this is useful.
Thanks for your help! Great player! Super accordion 🪗 🎉

I have the same problem! I am using an Excelsior maybe I should try a Sonola! HAHA!
Haha. The accordion doesn't hurt that's for sure. This is a borrowed from a friend, Ernie Felice Model SS4. It's an amazing jazz accordion.
Fantastic arrangement ideas. Love your setting too.
Thanks so much! 😊 I'll be back in the desert for the month of June, so if it's not too hot out, I'll do the livestream outside again!
Thanks Dallas! This is an awesome tutorial.
Thanks for checking it out. I look forward to doing more in the future.
That was me that made the comment! I feel like you shouted out to me! So cool!
