Filmed with a Sony RX100m6 (My apologies for the occasional shakiness/throbbing in the video, the bass was insanely overpowering and while the mic managed to not distort, it was rumbling the ledge I had the camera on!)

I was so sad this wasn't played during their recent shows. This is my favourite song of all time.
Oh that's a shame! They have so many amazing songs though, tough to always play all of them!

Yea that blew my mind, I assumed it was just a processed vocal in the recording
probably I will never understand why the put their song "Synthetic" behind and it's not a constant part of their portfolio. It's their best song, and would be a great opportunity to involve Tim. It could be an energetic point somewhere at the 80% of their performance, at least playing it for 2 minutes could really be very massive experience...
Synthetic is a great song, I agree.
I don't think Synthetic is their best song. I more like Sunset, Jason or The Comeback Kid from that album. But this is everyone's personal opinion.

It's a good song, but it's pretty slow for a live set. I can see it being used under some circumstances, but it just does not really go with the flow of your average Midnight show.

Honestly when I bought the tickets I didn't think about it. A week before I was like "well shit...i wonder if it's just the two dudes playing to backing tracks" and I was pleasantly surprised

If you look before the chorus starts he moves something infront of the microphone. Could be another microphone that runs through the vocoder. He also moves it away when going back into a verse. He probably is actually singing
He's using a Talkbox! It's a guitar pedal that's basically an amp that pushes your guitar signal through that tube with air, and you then "sing" that air into the microphone. It's what's letting him getting that weird low tone in the chorus
