Thank You for the Information. Also in the Winter months remove the batteries & sit them on a Wood surface. NEVER on a Concrete floor. It always worked for me.
Hahahaha, I'm sorry but didn't a crap ton of people die last year around Texas from some 30 degree weather and other states having their representatives take off on Vacations?
@@nathanwoltz8253 well, if you're gonna try to make it political...I'd SURE rather be in a totally Red, Christian, and free state than a socialist, liberal one! Actually, God forbid I'd ever have to...they are all failing anyway. But... my original comment was just to say I'm glad to live where I can ride my Harley year round and I never have to winterize my boats.
You said “I keep the batteries on the garage slab”. For people that don’t know, setting a battery on concrete will destroy your batteries. Make sure you put them on a 2x4 or something, if you store them on the floor
That was true of very early batteries, but that is a myth today with modern batteries. The important thing is to keep the case clean and neutralize any acid before storage. After that, you can put them on a concrete floor, wood or steel shelf, or whatever. They will discharge at the same rate.
Hi Jadon. Fogging four-stroke engines isn't necessary as moving parts remain coated with crankcase oil. Just make sure to use a fuel treatment with lubricating oils to keep the upper cylinder areas well-lubricated if the engine sits idle for an extended period of time. If you have a two-stroke or still wish to fog a four-stroke, this blog presents a good overview: www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/dockline/winterizing-your-outboard/?
If I already took my boat off the water (missing the on-water fuel treatment step), and after I install marine Seafoam and maybe Stabil, how long should I run the engine with the motor flush attached in order to protect all the fuel and the engine?
Are you kidding me?? 4 to 5 batteries??? WTF is wrong here? Conservationist should be WAY infront of this over priced horrible earth and whatever you want to call ecosystem this system has to be the worst gas guzzling, power needing things I've seen in years....NEXT
Great tips! I love Wired2Fish and I run that exact boat except in black instead of the gray.

There is no off season in the north. We ice fish. Big balls.
@NomadicNorthwoods I have done it, and yeah.. you folks are tough!
Excellent video..... thanks!
You bet Steve.
There is no off season... Just "fishin' on da boat" season and "sittin' on da boat in my garage" season...
Fair enough 262 Fishing 😂
❤😂😂😂❤
Do you run any RV antifreeze thru livewell and bilge pumps and drains?
If you don’t have a heated garage, can you just keep the batteries hooked up to the charger all winter? I have two AMG’s and three Lithiums.
So it’s safe to crank the engine if the spark plugs are removed?
What is the yellow thing that goes on the side of the motor for draining the oil?
Oil drip tray
So I used my boat once this year and has been sitting since and it's been sitting since do I need to change all my oil and lube ?

Kept a many of batteries on bare cold concrete for months and they hold charge like new.
What a great video! Wish it would have been dropped two days ago I just put my boat away for the winter
Darn, this should've dropped a month ago!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
How do you fog the engine?

3-5 minutes is plenty of time. Thanks for watching.
What off season?
Ice, hunting, depends on the angler and where you live.
Who has an "off season" in Bass fishing???
Get off my porch
people who actually live by lakes with fish in them. (st, clair, lake of woods, etc) lol at southerners thinkin they have fish in their lakes.
Ice keeps a lot of anglers off the water in Northern Tier States.
My winterization is put more gas in the boat.
East Tennessee life son
Not gonna lie, our MN staff is more than a little jealous. Fortunately we're down south gathering content during the winter months. -Ryan
Lol Winterization for me = grab some hot coffee go fish the Chick. The lake is beat down but the river is fire.
If you're a true fisherman there Is no off season.......
Right, it’s called ice fishing at 47 degrees N latitude.
@@Wired2Fish awesome... sounds fun.
