I am not a pro but I do cut trees for folk I have learnt so much watching you guys There are tree men/women and then there are tree men /women you are real tree men.. Even with
my limited knowledge I see so called pros making big big mistakes because they simply do not think it through or just dont understand how wood works or at worst are in it just
for the money you can tell they do not enjoy their work which is undertsandable when they don't know what they are doing !! Keep the vids comming please I have so much more
I need to learn Thanks again from all in the U.K.

Thank you for explaining so well what we do. So many people think it is a simple job requiring little thought or skill. I've been doing it 21 years in Ohio and I'm proud of what I do. Keep up the good work and keep showing people how much thought and planning goes into each job, because as you know , each tree has to be approached differently. Thanks

I have been on my legs and pulling my back as a nurse for 49 years. The years have taken a toll on my legs. I think about your legs and what standing the way you have to with those tree spurs. I pray you do not have too much discomfort and mal formations of your skin on your feet and your bones ? God bless you August , you are Tarzan and Superman rolled into one.I really enjoy watching you and have much respect for you as a professional .

I'm in Michigan. Get those here with white pine.. can't cut too much on the bottom, barely touch the saw to the top of the limb and see ya... I always tell my customers, knowledge is the best tool in the truck. I recently found your channel and I wanna have fun too... I work with one other guy. Were kinda like you and Damian. Except its Shane and Craig. Lol. I feel like the comment section isn't a good place to have a conversation though. Sorry. Lol. Great job.

UA-cam comment sections are like hanging out at bowling alleys, it takes the staff, bouncers and patrons all working together to not only make it possible but to keep it a positive and enjoyable place.
Around here on August’s channel, the staff works like mad men, the bouncers have zero patience and the patrons show up with pockets full of knowledge to share.
Haters just don’t last long in these parts.

Hi august I'm very happy I found your Chanel man. I watch it for several reasons, a couple at the for front of my thoughts are just the sheer skill you and Damien have in some of the most sketchy situations. Your attention to the details is bar none, the finest! Your motivational qualities are just as 😎. I love the way you explain what you are doing and why. Just fantastic. I am in no way the Arborist you are, even though I have felled my share. One vid you made blew my mind. Can't remember the name of it, but watching you pull that tree around another and dropping it between the goal posts for me was EPIC!!! This may sound wack, but when I'm a little down I pull up your vids and my spirit is lifted. You have a special calling brother. My best to you, your bride and family man. God bless and keep the vids coming. TOTALLY AWESOME! I loved the family zip line vid. Such a strong commitment to family. Just awesome! Again, God bless you and yours brother.

Good vid man! I've seen a lot of new guys struggle with big branches, especially in big PNW Firs. I know I had a couple go sideways (unintentionally) in my early years. Takes a lot of practice to learn when you can and can't hinge or pop cut a huge branch. Could be the difference between going home early or buying a gutter.

@8:12's limb you do a small undercut and finish it off from the top --- *using the top of your bar*, when bottom-bar would've "looked" more ergonomic to my eyes, I've gotta ask was that just what was comfortable, or was it intentional *because* you don't get covered in the wood-chips? I've found I'm positioning more&more to avoid covering myself in chips (til I'm at just a stem, of course) On that note I've recently swapped-over to using Canola for my b&c oil and it's great, no difference in performance but now I'm not covered-in (and breathing mists of) an oil&wood mist everytime I cut! Surprised Canola isn't the norm/most common, I could certainly understand complaints about it on a long-bar (though such complaints still seem few&far-between) but for climbsaws that're 18" and under I can say I'm in FL using just Canola and it's been great :)
Thanks for the awesome content as always man :D
