"The Last Time" we posted a proper live video was quite a few weeks ago, so we thought it was time for some more Rock 'n' Roll. This live recording is also on our new album "MonaLisa Twins play Beatles & more". Make sure to get your copy in case you haven't yet!
The concert took place at the Mama's Bar in Kirchberg am Wechsel/Austria, with Michael Mozeth on the bass and Philipp Wolf on the drums!
We'll try to post more frequently in the future and you can always stay updated about what's happening on our social media pages (links at the top).
See you all soon,
Mona & Lisa
They sure LOOK better than the Rolling Stones.
Just about anybody would look better than the Rolling Stones these days.
Very Skanky.!!
Even better than the 'Pretty Things'... 😆
Take's me back to the late 60's England when seeing group's in small venue's was all we had. Most band's played a lot of cover's and you got real EXCITMENT in a venue with no more than 200 people in it. You can see how much they are enjoying both the playing & the Audiance. >>>>> THE GUITAR BREAK was extreamly enjoyable
It was also so affordable to buy tickets back then too. The British Bands are my favorite. I started to go to concerts in 1967. When the Fillmore West opened in 1968 it was $3.00 to see 3 bands and one was a headliner. I have so many fond memories from the 60s.
Listening to the both of you performing all of these great songs brings back so many great memories. I am 70 years old and I want to thank you so much!!!
i am 74 , agree with you!!!
Mona can sing with more grit in her voice than I can muster. Or she can sing like the sweetest songbird. The Twins are amazing talents who've put in a lot of hard work on their craft.
MLT make me feel happy😀
This is the best cover of this song that I have ever heard. (One of my all time favourite songs.) The vocals, vocal harmonies, guitar sounds, instrumentalists and pace are bang on. Whoever did the video and sound recording certainly knows what they are doing. The venue is really cool too. Now, here are 2 songs that you MUST do..........The Who's, 'The Kids Are Alright,' and 'I Can See For Miles!!' I have subscribed to your channel ladies, and I'll be waiting for these 2 songs to appear! (Please.) Lol. Keep doing what you're doing. You are seriously, seriously brilliant. A breath of fresh air in the music scene!!
This will not be the Last Time I listen. Oh no! I am hooked on Mona Lisa Twins.
The drummer and bass player are fantastic., All Of Them are incredible
These sisters can "bring it" every time... all the time.... period😀
I have been watching these girls for 2 hours....I must say I am hooked
Me too. Then I switched over to the Beatles for 6 hours. UA-cam rabbit hole.
You just keep on kickassing the 60s the best :-) Outstanding...Love it :-)
The production values on all your stuff is just outstanding. The camera work, editing, audio recording, mixing, mastering, all top notch stuff. Along with your talent and charisma and you've got the WHOLE enchilada, ladies. Keep it up.
I'm 63 years old and vividly remember "back in the day" when this and so many of the other songs your father raised you to appreciate were hits on AM radio. Thanks for (re)capturing the fun, innocence and life of this music. I especially appreciate your use of Rickenbacker and Gretsch guitars to maintain the authenticity of of both sound and look of the era. I think you would make Lennon and Harrison smile.
If you haven`t already, you should take a listen to their original songs as well. Like The Wide Wide Land. Those girls are brilliant songwriters too
You're quite right. I had previously commented to them that their song "This Boy is Mine" might be the best 1964 era Beatles song that the Beatles never wrote.
gert just jensen...though, if he prefers energetic rock numbers like this one, he might happen to like "This Boy Is Mine" and "When We're Together" better than "The Wide Wide Land"... ;)
Rick Goodin Ahh, I wrote my reply to Gert, before I saw yours...LOL
Rick Goodin Yes, they could have put that one on any of the first Beatles albums, and it would have fitted right in
The Stones need to hear this so, I posted this on The Rolling Stones Official Facebook Page. They have 19.6 million Likes so you ladies will likely pick up a few more fans. :)
The Mona Lisa Twins are up there with the Glimmer Twins.
My favorite Rolling Stones song. These two songbirds do it justice!! These 2 women are just FANTASTIC!!
Any other cover of like minded song you find a liking to?
@@vegashainning8071 They don't do a bad cover, everything they do is well rehearsed and practiced, have you heard them do anything you thought was less than good?
I see Rock and Roll is in good hands.....
Yes! It's far from dead, you just have to look for it a bit
@@nthgth I was afraid it was gone too, til I found these girls on UA-cam. Wow!
Hell yeah.
These girls are one of the best things that happened to rock and roll in a long time
So good. The energy in your performances is like that of the early British Invasion. Riveting. Not enough ‘Likes’ to give you. 👏🏻
Die MonaLisa Twins sind die beste Live-Band, die ich kenne.
Great to see a younger generation enjoying the 'classics'! Good job!
probably my fav early Stones song (along with "It's all Over Now) ...
Great job, ladies - but what else would I expect ? You keep setting the bar higher and higher ;-D
Couldn't agree more with your choices. Still have my vinyl 45 single of "The Last Time."
I feel the same way...The Last Time and It's All Over Now were my favs . Those 2 songs had that country feel which paved the way for Dead Flowers and Faraway Eyes
me too exactly
probably my two favorites too , love both those songs ..... Me and my buddy covered Last Time , check it out if you like , it ain't too shabby - ua-cam.com/video/nHUU2kjhziQ/v-deo.html
Was one of my early MLT favorites and still is. Just a good rocker with a great beat. Nice guitar solo and backbeat and vocals are fantastic.
Great guitars. Great drum. Great bass. Great singers. Joy.
PURE JOY!!!
Hola. MonaLisa Twins.
Un gran grupo. ❤🌹👏
Qué bonita música y los recuerdos que nos traen a nuestras vidas.
Felicidades para ustedes. ❤🌹👏
I just linked this video to Mick Jaggers Twitter feed and asked him to view this video of you ladies.
I think I'll give it to Keith as well
Keith Richards eat your heart out…Lisa gets it ❤️🧡
I just *like* these ladies.
Oh yeah! Mona's singing is so beautifully gritty and on the mark! Along with the spot on harmony singing, Lisa's guitar work is mesmerizing and thrilling. I can't sit still when listening!
great video, as always! i love this track on the album, it sounds brilliant :) i hope there will be a video for "people are strange", i'd love to see Michael and Philipp performing their solos live!
Great version all of you. Its hard to make a classic like this sound refreshed, but you did just that. John
The Twins were born to rock!
You both are beautiful additions to the world through your music, spirit, and courage. Thanks so much.
What a perfect match, Mona's vocals with Lisa's lead guitar skills. Great music!
Better than the stones ,,, really ?? Yes …faster
2
I congratulate them, they are great, they sound much better than the original theme !!! Greetings from Argentina.
The ML Twins are FANTASTIC!!!!
WOW, with 'ORGANIC LOVE'! lm
The more I listen, the better this sounds! nice work, all of you, and nicely produced.
These girls have just gained another fan. Brilliant! 😁
What good faces! Thank you for the positive. Come to St. Petersburg or Moscow.
I hope that's not the last time!
Merci les Twins c'était le premier disque des stores que j'achetais j'avais 16 ans mon groupe s'appelait "" les Zodiac's""
Brilliant! Such a clear sound (Y)
I wish you all the luck in the world and love and believe me if I could share that I would but you beautiful ladies
I just discovered you guys! You and your band are very talented and you all do an amazing job covering 60's oldies! You have earned another fan!
Wow what a performance !
Your energy is just like it was in the day, pure exuberant joy to sing from the gut unashamedly, just belt it out but also keeping it melodic. That was the brilliance of the Beatles not only their song writing abilities but also to 'belt' a song out or to sing the sweetest sounding ballads, to melt any womans heart.
t's so good to hear these songs again in the way they were originally sung, brings the memories flooding back! 😘
For me, this is one of the Stones' very best songs. And very well done by these talented musos.
I agree!
This song is a pick-me-up and puts a smile on my face at the end of a long day!
Девченки я вас обожаю! Успехов вам в работе.
well another Saturday dealing with dementia, than you MonaLisa Twins. you make it a little easier to get through it. This seems to be my go to song. love it all. rock on
amazing cover it was very good
Cool funky version gurls. Thumbs up! Eyes wide open! Ears unplugged!
Gracias por todas esas canciones que forman parte de muchas generaciones en el mundo, ustedes son unas chicas muy talentosas, sigan adelante. Las felicito sinceramente
Love it ...great job on this old rocker girls .
It blows me away they were born in 1994 and all the music they play and love is from the 1960's and 1970s! God Bless them!
I love you guys it’s good to see the younger generation gets this era of R/R so well. Your passion really comes out in your Cavern shows. Rhythm section rules and I can tell you all have a good time. If ever In Seattle USA email me and I’ll get a bunch of friends to see you
Definitely will not be the last time I listen to this. Amazing
Love your cover of that song.
I don't really like the original song, but i love your cover :)
Невозможно оторваться! Хочется слушать и слушать. Душа радуется.
sorry, can't read that. Russian?
It was rockin' pretty hard there ... ya caught the vibe just right ...
amazing cover as always !!! the vocals are great and this guitar riff... i love it !!! brilliant cover. for me, it's better than Rolling stones !! thank you very much :D
it's not better than the stones you idiot!
Richard Murray You must have smoked more dope than your old wrinkle face hero's
Chicas. Sois impresionantes. Unas máquinas
Thanks for keeping this music alive and fresh.
Excellent! That gives the Stones a run for their money! You show them how it should be played!
Mostly - they show Mick how it should be sung ;) (Though he couldn't do it this way, even if he wanted to, since he doesn't have the necessary voice.)
WOW ! YOU GUYS LOOK SO MUCH ALIKE YOU COULD BE TWINS !
You are an excellent observer, haha!
Another great performance!
Great Job, Great Song. You guys are REALY getting good. You make it look easy and these songs are hard as heck to get everything to mesh. As a guitarist, I love seeing you Play. Keep it coming!
Oh, wow :O Thank you for uploading this - it's my second favorite out of all your covers! I first heard it at that Aera concert last September and fell in love with it instantly. As per usual, I would have never guessed that it's such a great song, if I were left to listen only to the original performance by the Stones. :P
So good cover with so much passion👍👍👍😘💐
Keep it up and stay healthy
I start my day and end my day watching MLT videos, unfortunately in between I have to go to work
wow you both sound so amazing that you remind me of the Beatles because you both really sound that entertaining
Time to conquer the US of A...😀🔥👍🏻🎤🎸
Vous êtes super MonaLisa Twins,
The last time est sautillant, renversant, excitant, dieu vous garde.
Briliant version.!
Awesome job!
What makes this song sound so great is a beautifully gritty vocal, hard driving guitars and a strong sounding snare beat. I guess I should say something about the bass playing since bass players contributions usually go unrecognized in bands. Oh yeah....he backed up everybody's talent perfectly.
Greetings from Russia, love you girls!!!
Just came across this having a rehearsal, my cuz said have a butchers at these two doing The Last Time... Glad we watched, awesome stuff =))
love it. dealing with a dad with dementia, your music is getting me through this. Thank tou
What a trip! These girls work hard and they have fun! Great music!
I love the up-tempo version, it's perfect! Don't let anybody tell you to slow it down.
Great playing, great singing!
Cheers!
I just found you girls yesterday. I can’t stop watching your videos. You’re amazing! “I like your Beatle songs the best”
Wow they nailed it every time. Imagine 2025 German girls singing American songs with American accents with original guitars in perfect timing. Wow Karma I love it. Keep up the good work girls
Probably the best cover of this song that i've heard ( and i'm a huge fan of this song)
Better than the original with zombie Mick Jagger. And, by the way, the twins are looking much better than Keith and Mick.
Great funky upbeat version....on all your video's its apparent you two really enjoy playing music together....loved it
Nice and good service
You girls, and your band, deserve to "make it" BIG TIME, but I hope you never do. By far, the most appealing aspect of the way you perform your art, is your "small town" vibe.
If you, against my advice, allow yourself the pleasure of "making it", always remember your roots--WAY back roots--and keep working harder every day to be what you KNOW is right. That thought alone will save you. If you forget what "right" is, only God can help you.
The Twins do an excellent rendition of this song. I just love Mona's
powerful voice in this song. Where are they performing in this video?
It's obviously not the Cavern Clubnwhere they usually play.
Fusion of fairy tales with reality
In my opinion, this material is beneath them. It's probably what their live audiences want - after all, they do function as a "cover band." But they are so much better than that. And their own songs are much better than this junk.
Love the 'live' recording. Great song.
The Beatles were quite nice. The Stones? THIS is an example of why I liked them even better. GREAT stuff. The performance is first rate. Congrats!
Awesome!!!!!~
My two young nieces are twins like you. They think the Mona Lisa Twins are way cool. They want to grow up and become the Lisa Mona Twins. I've heard them singing in the shower ... they can sing Beatle songs backwards! I'm not kidding! What a phenomenon!
Maybe one day at a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London or Carnegie Hall in New York City, you Mona Lisa Twins will sing a Beatle song, and then my nieces the Lisa Mona Twins will join you onstage and sing the song backwards. That would be way cool.
(Forgive me, I just made this up. Not a word of it is true. If I didn't love you, I wouldn't poke fun at you.)
This is great! How about about being even a little bit more PUNK!
Good. The drummers on these don't come close to the musical character of either Ringo or Charlie Watts, however. Just crashing and banging.
MLT is rocking on this one...wish it was on there new cds.... the bass player and drummer are suburb
Thanks Mark :-) It's on our first cover compilation CD: monalisa-twins.com/product/monalisa-twins-play-beatles-more-album-cd/ ♥
What a privilege it is for someone to back them up on bass or drums.
