Dan Xepha eBay has a really good system when it comes to getting scammed. If you can’t resolve it with the seller you can usually get eBay to step in and slap them around (I.E. put a strike on their seller profile or force a refund from them). It’s eBay’s money-back guarantee.

Silicon molds don't normally leave a line because the silicon is poured over the item while the item is in a container. After the silicon sets, it can be cut apart however you want. some people zig-zag or loop back and forth so matching it back up is easier. leave a small hole where a smoothe surface will be on your finished product, pour in your resin, and polish off the "bump" where the pour location was, and you're good to go! In my experience, silicon doesn't often leave a line on the casting.
The major test for a fossilized shark tooth is to drop it in water. A fake will tend to land point up, because the base is heavier. But in a real tooth, the tooth part is denser than the base, so it will tend to fall point down.
eBay sucks for a lot of counterfeit products.
