    Hi Loc Star ⭐️ 🌟! I’m Sisterlocked, and extremely happy! My beautiful daughter saved my sanity when she mentioned this lifestyle and suggested that I investigate and research the process. I’ve truly gained hair freedom and an air of confidence that I didn’t know I was missing🥰! I began my Journey 21 months ago. Best hair decision ever, for me. Your videos are informative and personable! It’s like listening to your best girlfriend giving you much needed support! Keep reaching out and lifting Sisters up! 🔥🔥

    I'm getting traditional locs installed next week via comb coil. I want small locs, approx 200. I love your sister locs. They are gorgeous on you. Thanks for posting quality content!

    I have SL, I chose them because I liked the ability to style many ways. I also love that from a distance it looks like loose natural hair. I didnt know about Micro or Inter locs until i dug deep and researched. I still loved SL after learning of the other two options. My hair would love any loc!! Im 4c very coiled and course and super Thick!

      @amanda Hampton I liked what you said 'My hair would love any loc!' I feel the same way. I have 239 locs. I got them installed by a SL consultant in Nov. 2021. Best decision yet that I have made for my hair! I would recommend locs to everyone of color with afro kinky hair.

    Thank you for this video! I almost got drooped by a consultant that ended up not being in good standing with the company. She took the class years ago an had not updated her technique. Thankfully I've found a new certified consultant 😁 I can't wait to start my journey!

    My 1st set of locs were braidlocs, this set I started with two strand twists. I chose both methods because I wanted to take care of my locs myself and I wanted to be able to wash often from the start without to much slipping. tfs 👍💖

    Lovely video which was very helpful.
    I had traditional locs and my retwist would last about 2 weeks, I would take out the style and it would be neat for another 2 weeks. I would retwist every 4 to 5 weeks if I wanted to keep them looking neat.
    Now I have sisterlocks, the service is different. I just get my hair retightened. No wash or style is included in the service. But I get it done every 8 weeks which is much better for me. I can style it myself or go to a stylist if I want something. I prefer my sisterlocks so far. It's just been so easy. 2 months in and no regrets!

    DIY GRID 1/8" Micro interlocked 4 point method with human hair extensions, clarifying 1/2 water shampoo, drying with the RevAir, daily atomized water as needed, retietened 6 to 8 weeks with water.

    I’m so glad you made this video. I’m highly active and have over 12” of hair I want to sisterlock. I still don’t understand the reason for price difference in sisterlocks and interlocked microlocs. They seem similar in terms of time spent on the installation. No?

    • @PureLocsStudio
      @PureLocsStudio  3 роки тому +3

      Great question. You're correct in that the processes are similar in regards to time spent. However, the difference is the level of expertise. In training we learn about the different curl patterns that are possible for each client to potentially have. The locking pattern selection is based on the "individual" clients' curl pattern and possible issues/challenges that they may have with their hair. Thereby, as a consultant/trainee, we troubleshoot and offer solutions that are oriented around hair and scalp health/care based on our training, versus just locking people's hair for a style.. It is not just about locking hair, we are "trained" to care for it. I hope that this helps!⭐️

    I must live a sheltered life b/c I just heard about Sisterlocks last week when my daughter said she wanted Sisterlocks (I didn't know about micro locks either); however, they are so very pretty, so now I want Sisterlocks myself. At any rate, I apologize in advance if these are dumb questions, but how long does it take for the Sisterlocks to lock? I've been watching youtube videos where individuals are saying they have to go in for maintenance every 4 to 6 weeks, which is expensive (although not as expensive as the installation). Is that b/c the Sisterlocks don't lock or b/c they take a long time to lock? ...and if they do lock up, is there a point where maintenance isn't needed so frequently?

    • @PureLocsStudio
      @PureLocsStudio  3 роки тому

      Thank you for your questions and I'm glad that you are considering them. Your locking rate depends on your curl pattern and the texture of your cuticle on your hair strands...bottom line: it depends on your hair, that will determine when your hair will lock. It can be anywhere from 3-4 months to 1-2 years (before your hair is fully locked). Think of your retightening sessions as going to get a "touch up" for your new growth. When you add up how much we spend on hair products, wigs, weaves, hair for braiding, pre-pooing, shampooing, detangling, etc.; the trade off of getting out of the bed and going is not a bad deal. Initially, you will go at the minimum of every 4 weeks (if you are newly established). The hair is just settling into the lock-framework at this point. Depending on your hair's growth rate, would definitely determine how frequently you go for retightenings.

    Can you switch from sisterlocs to interlocs on matured hair?

    • @PureLocsStudio
      @PureLocsStudio  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! Are you asking about hair that is already locked and is currently in the mature phase? If so, the short version is, Sisterlocks are a form of interlocking. Interlocking is the method of using a tool to establish the locks from the tip to the root. There are various forms.💛
