I think the old material is fantastic lots of character it tells a story was made to last and its great to re use and recycle to win win . Amazing materials there lads 👍💯
Hi Justin hope you guys are all well, the porcelain job with curved wall and drive look absolutely Stunning, you are spot on about recycling material great to see the history involved love to all the family all the best Tony and family 👍
I used to live over that way it's a lovely part of this amazing county, shame about the M5 though. I think I just found my ideal job 30 years too late, demo was always my favourite part of any job. Keep em coming. 👍🏻
A perfect example of one of the benefits of building with Lime (and not cement) - as the Lime allows for materials to be reclaimed and reused later - whereas Cement destroys everything it sticks to.
Wow, that's an incredibly uneducated and misinformed statement to make. What you just said is pure fantasy and 100% wrong. It shows you don't understand the first thing about Cement - it's chemical or binding properties. Under no circumstances will cement ever be softer than the brick - never.
A lot of them dated back to the 1960s Trevor. If you watch our previous video in the series (ua-cam.com/video/QI4tq1QSSOs/v-deo.html) - Tony and Richard encountered one under some floorboards which celebrated the 89th birthday of Winston Churchill.
Hi Tony nice to see items being removed so that they can be brought back to life elsewhere. Tony did you get my reply after the episode about Greg's tiling tools?
Rob Songer (ua-cam.com/video/Nl8t6ZgYra8/v-deo.html) did this video showing that you can even recycle lime mortar if you are chipping it off you might as well collect it.

Not quite, if done properly the cement was mixed to be softer than the brick and will come off. Nothing against lime though.

Must have been filmed months ago, I drive past this most days and there are houses almost up in its place now. Great content as always 👍
Be interesting to get a rough ballpark of what the materials are worth at retail vs the cost in labour for those guys to take the house apart by hand.
What were the dates on those old newspapers coming up off the floor near the beginning?
Great vlog once again. Thank you.
