That finger snap with your painted windows was show stopping. It was the best thing I have seen in a longtime it made the whole thing come together. Looks awesome.
Love love love the kitchen you did an amazing job....what a transformation.....the insulation is used in the oven to keel the heat in the oven and prevents it from making your kitchen hot....enjoy your beautiful kitchen....Hod bless, stay safe...
The black on the windows makes SUCH huge difference. I love black framed windows! I’m doing the same kind of scheme with my house, white, black and stained wood and the semi industrial feel. I love what you’re doing
I love the breakfast bar, what a smart idea if lacking the room for table and chairs and it goes so well with the kitchen makeover without taking up a lot of space. I'm renovating my kitchen, I'm doing tiling and painting at the moment, thanks for the share your hard work paid off, your kitchen is amazing.
My favorite part is that you actually have the correct tools to do everything. I have exam gloves, fabric masks, sandpaper of dubious quality, a few screw drivers, and a hammer. How do you know how to do all of this and more so how do you even own things like a respirator? :) Also, when are you coming to overhaul my kitchen and bathroom from the 70's? We're talking harvest gold tile.
Haha well I just UA-cam everything like a psycho in advance!! I needed a respirator for the tile in the bathroom project (it’s necessary or you could pass out) ..so I had that from before! I got sick of hand sanding so I snatched up a $30 orbital sander! My bf has a lot of tools too because he is a plumber so that deffff helps! ❤️😊
Omg your kitchen is similar to mine. You've given me so many ideas I can do. Instead of getting a new stovetop just paint it black, genius. You did a great job.
Breakfast bar is a great idea; you can look out and enjoy nature. I also like the industrial towel bar. Interesting use of different kinds of paint for tile, counters, etc. Who knew they even made paint like those? I can see how the counter paint could be super helpful to cover outdated formica; it would make a HUGE difference in the look of a kitchen. Painting the windows black really ties everything together. I wonder how many coats of paint are on those cabinets?!
Ok you’re probably not gonna see it but I HAVE to express how unbelievably beautiful your DIYs are. I just can’t! This is my dream makeover - also with your bathroom one. I wish I had a flat/hose to make over as it gives me such a feeling of accomplishment. Please keep doing these, you’re so talented! Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love industrial modern looks! This is the first kitchen I’ve seen! I’m in love. I can’t wait to do something like this. I love the stained wood and brackets and the breakfast bar!!
The insulation in oven door is to keep the heat in the oven. Otherwise you would get burned if you touched the door when the oven was on. Your kitchen looks fantastic. Great job !
Meg you have inspired me to make little fixes around my new house. I was seriously sad when I moved in but the house is starting to look better now! Thank you for instilling confidence in me 💛 all it takes is patience!
Oh my gosh! This makes me so happy! Yes all it takes is patience and doing one project at a time! There's so much you can do yourself to make it your own :)
I just came across your channel and when you popped those plastic bags to clean the walls I subscribed I like when people improvise and get things done your kitchen looks awesome
Thank you so much!! Which videos do you miss? I think I’ve matured as a person and I feel like rants and story times are just something that I’ve grown out of. I feel like I am a more peaceful person recently and like exploring my creative side 😊 hope that’s ok!
Meg Cat rants of course!! Lol I love your personality and i think you’re so funny so I’ll literally watch anything you post! Change is always a good thing and I’m here for it! 🥰🥰
I used the exact same paint and color for my counter tops. Make sure anything you have sitting on the counter longterm has furniture pads or it will stick to the paint. Also don't let water sit for long. I have had mine for about 4 years and still looks good. Other than that, love the product and love the job you did. Looks amazing!
Freaking amazing transformation! I love the little breakfast bar, the industrial farmhouse vibe with some natural elements, super awesome job!!! Love it
That's the thing with old sturdy build: solid cupboards, tiles and grout look good, you just do good clean up, paint them and it looks like new. When looking for a house to buy I always look at the state of the kitchen, don't have 30K for brand new kitchen, but have few hundreds for paint :D
Yes exactly! It’s crazy what paint can do. A lot of the stuff built back in the day was built to last (not like today) so why not keep it and spruce it up! 😊
First... Just WOW! Beautiful! That oven can be fixed if its just the temp gauge. Just needs adjustment. In the meantime you can buy a clip on gauge. Most chefs use one. And all ovens are insulated so they don't heat up your kitchen to 400* and so they can keep a steady temp. That being said.... Its gorgeous! And the window snap was everything. Amazing how one small change makes such a difference.
Wow, insulation on the oven? Youre right that doesnt seem safe.. You think maybe that is why it overheats?? It turned out super cute. I can tell you love DIY and decorating. Have you found your calling?? *Edit: Looks more modern, lighter, and super inviting.*
It’s all inside the cover but I thought it was the weirdest thing?? It works fine but if you set it to 325 it’s actually 400°! Probably because of that LOL. Thank you so much I love DIYing 😊❤️
This is such an impressive makeover! Great ideas and great execution. I love how your added a "shelf" on your window to make a breakfast bar! And that shelf near the ceiling is just 👌🏻
Great makeover. You are talented. I would add that it you uninstalled the wine glass rack, painted the underside of that cabinet, then reinstalled the wine glass rack, it would look finished.
If you paint under the cabinet where the wineglass racks are it would look really good. Overall it's a very good budget friendly remodel, you do good work!
Love your channel. A year ago I covered my counter tops with the marble peel and stick. It looks good but I think I want to just paint them now instead. Yours looks great. Super inspired.
What a wonderful transformation i look forward to you tiling the floor the stick on tiles is something i would like to try but have been hesitant in case i messed up
Love the brick wall white washed look. Also your kitchen layout is my dream, Small, square and to die for windows. The diy breakfast bar is perfect. How do the painted countertops work with knicks and knives? I am an almost homeowner.
The insulation in the oven is to keep the heat in, otherwise the door would get super hot and a lot of heat would escape using way more electricity to maintain temperature.
Love it all! The only thing different I would do is paint the underside of your wine glass storage white. My favorite is the window frames painted black. By the way I just subscribed based on this one video, thanks for sharing.
Also this turned out amazing. And perfect timing. My husband and I are about to redo our kitchen next week. Of course I would like to rip it out completely and start brand new, but my bank account doesn’t agree with that plan. So I was just gonna paint and stuff like that. I’ve heard of countertop paint but I didn’t think it would turn out like that. So I’m gonna look into it. I bet you’re so happy with that kitchen, it’s beautiful
Thank you so much! Yes I was so shocked how the countertop paint came out for $22 bucks! They can tint it to 12 different colors too. It's pretty cool :)
I Stan a resourceful queen I love the makeup and overall look today I been looking for inspo to do something while stuck at home thank you xo keep up the quality content girl
its looks beautiful//do not get me wrong/im a 1950s girl//i love that look of the 1950s and i miss it..But you did a beautiful job for sure,i would have you do my home in a minute but in 1950s style/lol/congrats on your home.
Lol thank you! I would love to do a 50s makeover that would be so cool! The cabinets in my kitchen were painted that awful gray from previous renters and it had to go! But I love the old school oven I’m gunna keep it for a while :)
Dude I can't get over what a great job you guys are doing. how do you know all about this stuff? do you just google how to do different things and what to use to do it? I feel like you guys could flip houses! I really like the little breakfast bar you put in by the window.
Video on my DIY floors: ua-cam.com/video/J6-PM4HkPC4/v-deo.html
The black windows made SUCH a difference! Really brought the room together 😍
Thank you!! When I did it to my front windows I couldn't believe how much better it looked! Now I want to paint them all lol
I absolutely love the black window!! I must have missed it in the description bar but which paint did you use for these??
I showed how to do it in my exterior paint video and linked it in the description :) ua-cam.com/video/8XMykHLykTQ/v-deo.html
Yes I think that really change my life.
That finger snap with your painted windows was show stopping. It was the best thing I have seen in a longtime it made the whole thing come together. Looks awesome.
Wow, thank you!! I think the black frames really made a difference :)
Girlllll, you could start your own business for sure with all you have experienced and learnt doing your own home, well done, pat on your back😍
Thank you!! I wish I could, I love making over spaces ❤️
Love love love the kitchen you did an amazing job....what a transformation.....the insulation is used in the oven to keel the heat in the oven and prevents it from making your kitchen hot....enjoy your beautiful kitchen....Hod bless, stay safe...

Thank you so much!! I’m sure it’s going to look beautiful!! 😊❤️
Nice transformation. Some jobs can be tedious but the end result makes it worthwhile.
Thank you so much!! :) I love the open space now without a big clunky island.
Meg, seriously, you are the DIY QUEEN!!! This kitchen is stunning!!! Good job. More DIYs please!
Omg thank you!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying these videos! ❤️ more coming soon!

Thank you so much!
Omg your kitchen is similar to mine. You've given me so many ideas I can do. Instead of getting a new stovetop just paint it black, genius. You did a great job.
the sink area with the decor shelf is SO ADORABLE and that exposed light is perfect!!
Thank you!! That’s my favorite part too 😊❤️❤️

Awesome work, and thank you for sharing the items you used and purchased this helps a lot.
I love industrial modern looks! This is the first kitchen I’ve seen! I’m in love. I can’t wait to do something like this. I love the stained wood and brackets and the breakfast bar!!
Is the white brick wall original from the house? Or is it stick on?
Thank you love!! I actually DIYed the wall and did a faux brick pattern! I have a video on it, was super easy too
Meg Cat oh cool thanks! I’ll check it out!
You're a resourceful, hard worker. Well done!
Such an independent handy woman! Been loving the DIY videos !
Wow! Your kitchen was really nice before, but it's absolutely stunning now! Great job!

Thank you!! I love both so I was hoping the weird combo would work! 💕
incredibly talented! painting the oven and the windows black just blew my mind, it changed everything!
Thank you! It's crazy what a little paint can do!
The insulation in oven door is to keep the heat in the oven. Otherwise you would get burned if you touched the door when the oven was on.
Your kitchen looks fantastic. Great job !
Gotcha! I guess I just wasn’t expecting it 😂 thank you!

Thank you so much!! Was a lot of work but worth it!!

Wow it looks so much brighter and bigger
wow kudos to you really like how you transformed your kitchen. Very creative!
Freaking amazing transformation! I love the little breakfast bar, the industrial farmhouse vibe with some natural elements, super awesome job!!! Love it

I swear I say this on every video but you are killing it!!
😭😭 thank you so much!!
I love all that light in your kitchen. I wish I had all those diy skills. Beautiful!
You can do it!
That's the thing with old sturdy build: solid cupboards, tiles and grout look good, you just do good clean up, paint them and it looks like new. When looking for a house to buy I always look at the state of the kitchen, don't have 30K for brand new kitchen, but have few hundreds for paint :D

Amazing how painting the window trim black makes such a difference, looks great. Also like your breakfast bar shelf.
literally a night and day transformation! great job!

Yay!! Thank you so much!
well done. hard work. amazing budget makeover.
It looks very very nice. I would suggest to paint the bottom of closet where you hang your glasses. I think it can make a difference.
I agree and I plan to!
Looks sooooo good!
You are so talented! Wow! This is amazing. Your kitchen is STUNNING 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you angel!! 😭❤️
Wow, insulation on the oven? Youre right that doesnt seem safe.. You think maybe that is why it overheats?? It turned out super cute. I can tell you love DIY and decorating. Have you found your calling?? *Edit: Looks more modern, lighter, and super inviting.*

I think that's pretty common on ovens like that you just don't see it because you don't ever take the door apart 🤷
It's usually a fiberglass insulation that's non-flammable. If they didn't have insulation, the oven would never hold a steady temperature.
This is such an impressive makeover! Great ideas and great execution. I love how your added a "shelf" on your window to make a breakfast bar! And that shelf near the ceiling is just 👌🏻
Thanks so much! 😊 I thought the breakfast bar was going to look stupid but I think it came out pretty good!
Came out great!! Looks amazing!!
Thank you!!
Omg shes among the living!!!!! So glad to see a video from u! Amazing job on the kitchen!
LMAOO ALIVE AND WELL!! ❤️😊 thank you!!
@@mustl0veshoes thank God!!!! 💕
Great makeover. You are talented. I would add that it you uninstalled the wine glass rack, painted the underside of that cabinet, then reinstalled the wine glass rack, it would look finished.
Thank you! I do plan to do that! I thought about it when I was done but honestly I was tired and thought i’ll get to it later 😂
It looks so good!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you bb 😊❤️
Thanks for sharing, Meg!! You always do such a great job. I can’t wait to see more of your DIYs! Much love, D 💚❤️
Thank you bb ❤️❤️😊
Also I bought the same exact faucet also in black, had it for a few months and it’s still works perfect.
If you paint under the cabinet where the wineglass racks are it would look really good. Overall it's a very good budget friendly remodel, you do good work!
Yes I plan on it. Didn't notice til after
how long did it take to finish individual projects ie. painting cabinets, etc...approximately of course.. thank you...looks stunning
Wow this turned out amazing!! You are talented girl
Thank you so much!!
Fantastic makeover 🌸
You did a fabulous Job! I’m definitely inspired to tackle my kitchen. Not sure 🤔 how long the inspiration will last though. Might have to rewatch!

Looks so good! I love the vibe, feels like a cute little cafe! ❤️
Thank you so much! I worked at a coffee shop for 3 years so I’m sure I subliminally pulled inspo from that! I love cafes 😊❤️☕️
Love your channel. A year ago I covered my counter tops with the marble peel and stick. It looks good but I think I want to just paint them now instead. Yours looks great. Super inspired.
Thank you so much!! The counter paint is Super cheap so even if you hate it you can just cover it again with contact paper 😂😂
What a wonderful transformation i look forward to you tiling the floor the stick on tiles is something i would like to try but have been hesitant in case i messed up
Thank you! Will be up either tonight or tomorrow
I love all of your DIY videos! Always gives me great ideas!

Love the brick wall white washed look. Also your kitchen layout is my dream, Small, square and to die for windows. The diy breakfast bar is perfect. How do the painted countertops work with knicks and knives? I am an almost homeowner.
Thank you so much!! I use cutting boards on the counters but I haven't noticed any chipping or anything yet!
Great job 💗💗 love the custom wood wood you did 😊
Thank you! 😊
Looks great. Nice improvement
The insulation in the oven is to keep the heat in, otherwise the door would get super hot and a lot of heat would escape using way more electricity to maintain temperature.
Ahah I really didn’t know that ovens had insulation in them it seemed flammable to me 😂😂 but it makes sense
Love it all! The only thing different I would do is paint the underside of your wine glass storage white. My favorite is the window frames painted black. By the way I just subscribed based on this one video, thanks for sharing.
