11:02 when that little boy came up to you and asked for one. my heart melted, so cute hahahaha
My cousins wife is a Filipina she always cook turon every time we visit them
Just love the grandpa vibe. Soo free spirited and I remember my dad back home. Thank you for during this.
The two kids where very lucky, for having exp filipino food at early age, and they will carry those buds til they grow up
Multilingual queen. French, English, Tagalog.
Trilingual. Like most Filipinos. English, Tagalog, and Ilocano, or Bisaya, Bicol etc.
But the big difference is that French is a prestige language while Philippine languages are not.
The two kids were so cute. Their parents raised them greatly.
Turon is one of the most famous street foods here in the Philippines 😊🇵🇭...the crunchiness and the sweetness it's really satisfying 😊
Wow I've never tried Turon with ube and jackfruit. I'll ask my mom to make one hahaha.
Europeans need to discover Filipino food. It’s so good but so underrated. And there are very few Filipino restaurants around. I hope you let your tasters know that it’s a Philippine snack. Thanks for trying to introduce Filipino food in France.
Turon is life for Filipinos. Pag medyo gipit s budget during estudyante days turon at palamig n oks n meryenda. Thanks for introducing a filipino meryenda to ur co french people. Love ur smile btw lively and lovely
Hahahhaa.. sobrang mahal ang obligado ka bumili hahahaha.. chiness kasi may ari ng turon dun hahhaha
gusto ko ang traits na pinagmamalaki niya being pinoy😍. She's beautiful inside and out! PANALO!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The whole world knows now how yummy is the filipino food 🇵🇭❤️🌏😊
@@HeyoLeah You and your mom could introduce authentic and delicious Filipino food to the locals by opening a small restaurant. Serve that turon, lumpiang shanghai(egg roll), pansit, bistek Tagalog(beef steak), pork ribs sinigang, pork & chicken adobo, siopao & siomai, not to forget halo-halo. Fil-French will surely patronize your food, especially if you cook it near perfection. Bon appetit!
It's nice to see a fellow halfie being proud of our Filipino side❤️❤️🙏
I just came across your vlog while browsing youtube & the subject was catchy and interesting, me being originally from the Philippines but a Fil-Am from California. I like that you intersperse your audio with English and Tagalog phrases. Your vlog is quite unique to me because I mostly watch vlogs of tourists in the Philippines. Keep them coming as you’ve managed to pick my interest in your content. I’ve subscribed for the meantime & gave you a thumbs up on this one 👍
Hiii thank you so much! That means a lot ! 🥰 i could make my videos full in english but there are a lot already haha and since im half french living in Paris... my channel's goal is to connect france (europe) and the philippines ! Enjoy the new vlog coming !!
So amazing to see how eager and proud you were in introducing Filipino food to French people. Some of them even rejected you but you did not give up and continue. You have my utmost respect Leah.
nakaka in love naman siya magsalita.... french then she started talking tagalog... so cute, by the way i love turon. hahahaha. Try it with apple instead of banana... just saying , if you cant find banana ;)

I wish someone would make it here in NYC. I will definitely order a dozen each week. Homemade turon is a treat!
Come to my grandma's house! She makes plenty of turon and lumpia for my friends 😂
Anyway, come to think of it, I've never seen turon on the menu at any Filipino restaurants I've been too. I've never seen it in Queens either. I don't even remember if Jeepney or maharlika had turon on the menu 🤔
If I'm not mistaken, there's one Filipino Restaurant in NYC and they have turon there . ☺ It's called "Mama Fina's".
Really fun episode Leah, I hope this becomes a series. The kid who asked for turon was very cute too ❤️

Hello. I love this episode and how interested French people are when guessing what fruit(s) is/are inside the turon. ❤️
that kid who went up and asked if he could get some is so cute I wish I was that extrovert as a kid.
I love watching the reactions of the tasters, they love it. Indeed you are with a Filipino blood and we are proud of you doing some innovations to introduce Filipino Food. Turon is one of my favorite street food back then when I was in Philippines and have been missing this too much. Although we can do it here as well but Banana (Saba) is very expensive so trying to be contented first watching your videos about Filipino Food.
Hello Leah with "H"! Very kind of you sharing samplers of Filipino food to my fellow French, I apologize for some of them .. they don't know what they are missing!... Kudos to Mom!
The Grandpa, he's a sweetheart.
Love those boys,,they're familiar with pinoy food,, and the kid who approached you and asked if he can have one pc of turon..hmnnn...proud of them ..and the baby that was cuddled by a nanny..that wanted to eat turon,,and try to have another bite once he tasted it...awesome...ok, take care and open a restaurant asap with pinoy food vibes..salamat po
turon is as lovely as you are! please make more videos like these.. everybody likes watching this, it makes french people smile.

I told you before, you're going to be our abassadress for our Filipino cusine and culture. Stay safe always.
You are and your family (shout-out to your dad -- impressive knowledge in the Filipino language and culture) are the best Ambassadors on anything Filipino. I am so proud that you are one of us (even if it's just half 😊). You show how love your Filipino side by making other culture be aware of it. I always enjoy your videos and look forward to some more. And you are so beautiful. Perfect combination (Filipino + Algerian).

You are really good as a Filipino food ambassador. Your mom must be so proud of you!
10:20 Apricot Turon would be awesome... the nice old man is a genius! (Also, some framboise syrup on turon sounds fantastic!)

You’re so sweet. I’ve actually never tried it with jackfruit which sounds like a great idea. I might try making this version sometime soon.
Cheers from Seattle!!!
It elevates the flavor profile. But you have to get the proper ratio and proper consistency of jackfruit. If the jackfruit isn't ripe enough it becomes too stringy. Sometimes they caramelize the jackfruit before adding it.
I always love your energy and vibe. More power
Its so nice of you to have them taste one of d favorite merienda of pinoys ...good job
Great !!
Wow!
Great job!!
Love it!😍

Wow i was just craving turon just the other day! Haven’t had it in a long time. Probably my favorite snack next to baguette with nutella miam miam !

Hi Leah! Been following your work for over a year now. This is so awesome and mad praise to you for sharing the amazing culture and food of the Philippines in the streets of Paris!! From an appreciative Filipina-American fan in L.A. - keep up the great work!!!
Awesome video, that is very delicious TURON. Thanks for sharing, big liked#821.
The variety or cultivar of bananas used for turon is called "saba"
"saba" is a cultivar of bananas that was developed in the Philippines. It is thicker, starchier and used for cooking.

I tried this one before but the filling is vegetables. Your Tagalog almost sounds perfect to me, My friends always laugh at me whenever I try to 😂
The one you ate is lumpiang gulay, it's often eaten with a vinegary dip. Very different from turon, both popular snacks.
Hi Leah ...next time let them try and taste "beta max!"
fried "blood jelly" in a skewer! 😁
You can never go wrong with turon! It is one of y favorite desserts! Nice video!
