- I spent 50 days in Skyrim Legendary Survival and it was amazing.
In todays Skyrim challenge I tried to do something that I've never been brave enough to do before, SURVIVAL LEGENDARY SKYRIM.... But I made it more scary by deciding to donate money to charity for every death, turning it into a kind of hardcore/ permadeath run. No real mods were used in this playthrough.
All in all it wasn't too serious and there were plenty of funny moments, can I survive without losing myself along the way?
If this video gets 4 likes I'll spend 100 days in Skyrim. If it gets 5 likes I'll spend 100 days in Morrowind. After all, Morrowind might be too easy for a Skyrim player such as myself..
A few people have asked for my mods-
Better shaped weapons
Realistic water
Skyland (Landscape Texture)
A quality world map
Climates of tamriel
Unofficial patch
I don't know if this will be helpful but there's a boat in dawnstar that acts like a wagon, but only takes you to windhelm or solitude
@@maniacparty637 and the vampires from the dawnguard dlc
Get Hendraheim
Shey-oh-gor-ath
There are mods to add Skyforge weapons and armor to the game
I can’t think of a single thing that has been quite as gripping or emotional as the adventures of PumpkinPoo
Thanks a lot
that’s my cat’s name i was so shocked when he named his character that
@@renezc LMAO, guessing you enjoyed this video more than I possibly could.
@@renezc Tis a shame that PumpkinPoo is not a Khajit in this story then. Although, seeing how unforgiving every trial was, the playthrough may have been made even more arduous if he had chosen to go without the Ork’s racial ability.
@@renezc WTF lmao
There's something about really getting into the character you make in these games, stopping to "rest" in an inn even though your character never tires, drinking mead and listening to songs like all the NPCs. It's relaxing.
to be fair, in survival mode you need to sleep to level up, so inns are usually the most convenient way to do that
@@miss_baphomet You also need to sleep regardless of leveling up because otherwise you will suffer penalities due to sleep deprivation
@@byletheisner5006and not to mention you become basically blind
But you actually do tire in survival mode, you have to sleep or your guy basically becomes 50% slower and worse at everything
@byletheisner5006 that's not true join the companions werewolf don't sleep nore benefit from sleeping plus u get 50 extra weight
Cold is kind of a busted mechanic. You go up a hill, fight some bandits, win, then die because the bandits were totally fine standing up there for weeks on end with no fire.
TRUE
Torches and soup my friend
Soup. Hot potato soup. It's a glorious thing
they were prolly nords
If you didn't need fuckin fire salts to make *soup and stew* warm you up, it wouldn't be so bad.
You can abuse Mercer Frey as a "follower", he's extremely aggressive and useful in survival mode. Do thieves guild first until you meet him at snow veil temple but do not finish the temple, instead, take Mercer outside he will follow you
I can't bring myself to let Mjoll go at this point.
You won’t have to let her go, Mercer isn’t your companion in this quest, just a follower (if that makes any sense), he’ll just follow you around but you can’t get him to do much else.
@@FrostyMirror854 That's right, what's best is that a quest follower is usually marked as essential (cannot die) before the quest ends.
Lol I’d take any chance to abuse that guy 🤣🤣🤣
You can do the same with aela after becoming a furry and vilkas when avenging kodlak
This deserves more attention
Seriously he spent 2 days -around 50 hours- Making this
So does your pic. 😆
@@ThatDude182 he didn’t play all 24 hours of the day 😂😂😂
I think you deserve more attention
Maybe. 3 different times I tried survival mode and said "FUCK! THIS!" In less than an hour. A little immersiveness like a reminder to eat and drink and sleep, but without the game/immersion breaking penalties slamming down on you without warning, without stripping half your carry weight (weight has always been an issue to Bathesda games. For instance you're telling me a wooden ladle, a tankard, a plate, a grand soul gem, all weigh the same, 1/2 of a book, which is equal to a gold ingot, and 1/2 a human skull or 1/4 of a mammoth tusk?) Or making every arrow and every gold coin weigh 1/10th of a pound or 1/5 of that of a bowl of soup.
And did I mention that glass armor has a higher insulation value than leather, fur or hide armor? And everything is cold... even though people living in that environment would be acclimated to said environment? Kinda like how people in Canada, Germany, Norway and Russia wear short sleeve or short skirts and shorts when there's snow out, but thing they're going to burn to death when it's 73F... meanwhile people in Tennessee thinks it's freezing at 50F and think 85F is "a nice warm summer day". I knew a guy in bootcamp that was from Puerto Rico, who had to be treated for hypothermia at 58F but didn't have much issue when it was so hot other recruits were having heat stroke.
I feel they kinda fucked up with survival mode. Skipped past immersiveness entirely and made it more of a punishment for playing their game that they have done nothing to fix over the past 11 years.
Me: I don’t know why everyone loves Mjoll so much
Mjoll: *doesn’t complain every time you ask her to carry stuff*
Me: … I know why everyone loves Mjoll so much
I married her, and forgot about her until I tried to marry someone else and it didn't work
@@Don69420 You monster. How on earth can someone forget their own marriage? 😂

@bruxinth4660 easily. It would also be nice if there were a divorce feature
@@9895_ I’m certain there’s a mod for it, but I wish it was in the vanilla game too. I remember on one of my first characters i married Ysolda and regretted it, and I ended up pretending that he was having a secret gay affair with Farkus 😂
Hiding from blind enemies with invisibility. Nailed it.

This information comes way too late, but at 17:55 you can actually get easily out of Dawnstar in Survival via boat thanks to the Dawnguard DLC if I recall correctly. The boats travel between Windhelm, Solitude and Dawnstar.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. OK, on next play through. That would have saved me another bout of frostbite and panic.
Was just about to mention this 👍
I can’t believe I haven’t discovered this channel until now. Your Skyrim content is absolutely priceless, man. And your editing style is underrated. I can tell you put a lot of love into each and every one of your videos. Please keep making Skyrim content, I love it! Godspeed.

@@Loamy_TVthe barely know ‘er joke was a zinger ngl
He plays jokingly but he has the strongest early build in the game. This run was well planned.
not really? he never upgraded from dwarven gear, never properly utilized enchanting, and apparently spent "hours" of his life leveling alchemy, got it all the way to 70, and yet is somehow struggling to earn 25k gold. how is that even possible, even without cheese alchemy is still a money printer. he has so little game knowledge its almost painful to watch at some points
Nah 🤣🤣🤣. That build is pretty dogshit, Sword and Shield is only 2nd worse to pure Destruction Magic, and he doesn't even use Conjuration. The ONLY thing he's got going for him is the fact that he plays as an Orc which is very very good even on Survival. If he didn't abuse potions he wouldn't be able to finish the game.
@@MISTAKEWASMADE4live ? sword and shield is extremely strong. its only below stealth archer because of how cheese stealth is. shields are amazing
The stealth archer is effectively cheating but the close second is shield+one handed+desto spells@@burgre2965
It is OP because you can effectively stunlock anything with a mace and shield bash@@burgre2965
As someone who plays on legendary survival quite regularly: Orc melee is actually *very* strong, mostly because sneaky archers can't one-shot most enemies until you are incredibly far into the game (exploits notwithstanding). Magic is incredibly weak because it doesn't scale well, but Impact can still stunlock dragons, which is very useful, of course.
Conjuration magic is actually incredible on Legendary, by far the best skill for pretty much any build, I run a Nord Paladin with Conjuration on Legendary Survival with no potions and it's a breeze. Illusion is good too for stealth characters, but pure Destruction is by far the worst build on Legendary.
@@MISTAKEWASMADE4liveAbsolutely ! Summons ignore the difficulty scaling completely, making them incredibly valuable on legendary difficulty. My statement was much too broad, I must admit.
I’d love to see a part 2 (50-100 days). Maybe where you fully upgrade the house
Happy I stumbled upon this video, likely because I’ve resurrected my obsession with Skyrim recently. Well made, well edited, very funny, hope your channel gets a lot of growth from this upload man. May PumpkinPoo’s legend carry on for the ages. ✌️
PumpkinPoo’s adventure is certainly one for the history books
super underrated. actual effort and soul being put into this type of video is refreshing.
I burst out laughing at 32:56 when he was tired of his companion constantly talking and he finally breaks 🤣
I watched every minute of this and enjoyed it immensely. Thank you. Please do more. Subscribed!
this is crazy underrated! love the content and instant sub
This has to be some of the best Skyrim content on yt for years
This was hilarious, seriously! I enjoyed watching this and was giggling at some of the lines. Keep going! I like your sense of humor and editing style very much.
The editing was very well done here. I loved following this story along.
If you plan on continuing this save file, know that every item stored in the containers of Proudspire Manor will be gone when you upgrade the rooms.
You are the best please continue this series, you are very underrated you deserve all the love and support 👍
This was actually a great adventure lol Skyrim can be played in so many ways I loved every second of this! Thanks for sharing
I didn't realize the video was nearly an hour long. Also loved the edits throughout the video. It was entertaining to watch!
I tried legendary once. My main experience where 3 things:
1. Battles took forever during early to midgame due to enemy now being damage sponges
2. Battle skills increased "faster" in relation to quest progression. Of course due to a much higher factor of usage per same enemy number per quest.
3. In the endgame with outmaxed combat skills and some PG enchantments battles did not take so long anymore. But Dragons still one-shot me with their bite attack even though I had armor cap and took health in every level-up.
So in summation, not a great experience...
Love this! I only play Skyrim in Legendary Survival. Playing as a pure mage is the most hardcore build I've ever played in any game. People who complain about Elden Ring being too hard haven't played Skyrim on LS! Good stuff.
2 minutes into the video with your commentary, i was instantly hooked. You have gained a sub sir
Had to come back and rewatch this masterpiece again. Fantastic.
This was amazing. Please do more challenges like this. Great character progression and storytelling.
This video inspired me to try a legendary survival playthrough of my own, and HOLY SHIT.
A few things:
- Pickpocketing is an insane way to get your levels up.
- I should’ve started playing with alchemy and enchanting a lot sooner.
- Silverhands are incredibly strong and Farkas is useless.
- The Forsworn are impossible to fight.
- You will actually start crafting arrows. I’ve never done that once before in all of my time playing Skyrim.
Also, Faendal was the clear choice. He can’t sing, but the archery leveling is unbeatable.
13:34 No but for real unironically when I was younger (about 8 or 10 idk) I was playing skyrim and had like over 50 hours on this one character and had jenessa with me (legend, love her) and we were fighting the vigils in the hall and she was slain by one and I found her body after the fight and cried, literally started tearing up mourning this npc I had been adventuring with for my whole playthrough, I went into my mums bedroom and cried to her whining about how she died and my mum consolled me. Very sad times. So I really feel for this death.
Re: "Was anyone else terrified of the House of Horrors quest when they were younger?"
Me who is 27 rn: uhhh, sure... only when I was younger though hahaha... totally not NOW, still..... nope.
I've been playing Skyrim again on legendary survival and loving it! Its so brutal! I'd say dealing with the cold is one of the most difficult parts. I'm also not using companions which really ups the difficulty. I do use conjuring though and definitely abuse the classical stealth build. I do plan on mastering magic in the long run though. Just need to accumulate enough perk points first 😊
You got me into playing skyrim about a year or two ago. I just never wanted to give it a chance, called it bad and boring. But you made me change my perspective of it. You made it seem fun. So I gave it another chance and its now, probably my favorite game ive ever played to this day, and still play it all day long. Thank you!
Honestly such good video production and glad his efforts are being rewarded.
Legendary Survival Mode as a Vampire is just a nightmare during the day. You have to take note of all the extra Vampire conditionals and feel nothing but sheer terror when you see a fire mage.
This story had me at the edge of my seat!!! I love this type of video!
Glad man story was at the front of my mind this video
I love it, I'm shocked to see you only have 10k subs??? You're amazing, love the video!
I don't play Skyrim but this video was an awesome adventure, I am thankful for the money you gave to charity.
I just stumbled upon this on a really bad mental health day and you made me laugh through my tears. Thank you. Subbed.
Just a couple days ago I convinced myself to touch the legendary difficulty. And yeah, hired thugs encounter at level low level is ridiculous. The guards won't help, and I only have poor Meeko.
Skyrim legendary diff is just plain bad, its just pumping enemy numbers while the player gets nothing for doing the difficulty at all
@@sirkelendor5429 this is why Fallout 4 survival mode was so good for me. The reward off of the legendary enemies made it so much more fun, in top of the fact it increased both damage dealt and damage received rather than just making enemies tank every hit
@@GE_Slzy i honestly wish they did more for the difficulty in these games instead of just "numbers become bigger" like imagine if they changed what levels enemies could spawn at, the equipment they use, new random encounters, etc. Itd be more enjoyable and id probably play on higher difficulties
@@sirkelendor5429 I can deal with the Fallout hard mode but Skyrim feels like just a walking simulator trying to do the simplest tasks for the same reward you would get on the easiest difficulty. Fallout 4 spawns more legendary enemies and the battles feel alot different for me personally. I really enjoyed playing Fallout 4 and getting threw all the side quests and getting the special weapons and using them for the main quests. It felt like a bigger accomplishment and also didn’t feel like a full time job as did Skyrim. Even tho I like Skyrim as a game more, Fallout did great with making the survival mode feel like, 1 a survivor styled game, 2 a overall better player experience. You wouldn’t just eat random stuff and had to stop to cook your food, take the time to purify your water, ect.
Im super surprised that you don't have way more subs, this is absolutely phenomenal content!
Completely underrated
If you had completed "A Night to Remember" you would have received the Sanguine Rose staff, which conjures a dremora lord to fight for you. Handy. Loved this story. Great fun.
I was too scared of the final room with the portal. Might try it in the next 50
@@Loamy_TV Ha! Can't blame you for that. Those mages are nasty and numerous.
30 mins in and I'm loving this video. Hope it gets the views it deserves.👊
I always go with Ralof at the start. Imperial armor sells for more gold than Stormcloak armor. So looting as much Imp armor to sell for quick gold is always great
Tbh it has its pros and cons. If you side with Hadvsr you get free smithing supplies. IMO, it’s way better for the long run but in the begfinifn you don’t have as much money. Ralof gives a lot of money but doesn’t mean anything as you probably won’t buy anything.
Dawnstar doesnt have a wagon, but it does have a boat that can take you to either Windhelm or Solitude, both of which do have wagons
Instant sub, this is freakin quality entertainment!
A lot of people do challenges and runs like this, but the fact you sorta roleplay it is what makes it interesting. You make a narrative out of the challenges
just in case you try this madness again, there should be a boat in dawnstar you could take to solitude for a carriage
Angery
Excellent storytelling and editing. I have played through on survival, so I chose Nord for his cold resistance, since many places are frostbite hazards. I level up quickly by maxing out trainers (made affordable by pickpocketing gold back and by using companions as free trainers, starting off with Sven's rival), and by the magic trio of smithing, enchanting, and alchemy. I typically get over level 100 even before half way through the game. I want those perks. I keep frustration to a manageable level by working my way up to legendary only once I become rather over-powered. Survival mode makes the game more slow and tedious but it makes it feel more realistic and life like. One thing I especially like about survival mode is that I can choose when to level up, not just automatically (I want to max out trainer points).
RIP Sven. Gone but not forgotten. A true hero of Skyrim. 😮💨
A silly suggestion for a challenge would be to steal every possible item from all major cities in Skyrim, even items off of the people, (if caught donate 5$ every time if doing charity again). It's a stupid idea but I've seen very few videos of this kind of task and they were only in one place per video.
Just an idea though. Great video btw, I like your sense of humor and your horse named Buttons.
Thanks for the suggestion :)

Hey man, I am about one quarter into the video and I gotta say, it is great. Love the editing and the humor. I really appreciate the work you put in. :)
ps: Can't wait for the next part!
Both of my legendary survival playthroughs had their first death from fall damage. Two different places a jumped into murky water onto the only rock in the vicinity.
I think on my next one I'll get "become ethereal" asap.
though i do like not doing the starting quest too soon because dragons
Yeah I watched someone else's playthrough after and they held off to prevent dragons. Would have been useful but also less epic so idk
Man I really love that he kept buttons alive the whole time. Makes me happy
This is so dumb and I absolutely love it lmao 😂
I adore this game, one life has basically revived it for me, I played it ALOT for the first 3 years of its lifespan, like all day most days, I was 15-18 barely worked until I was 17, and couldn't afford to buy games regularly, was reliant on gifts for releases like cod and FIFA and was still playing Skyrim more than anything else, think I did the main questline twice in that entire time, I just absolutely love the gameplay loop on this game, so id always make a new character after I got overpowered and wanted to experience the grind all over again. So one life playthroughs were introduced to me a while back by STER's one life playthroughs however many years ago it was now, which literally caused me to buy Skyrim for the PS4, because I had given my PS3 to my little brother at that point who'd sold his own Xbox because he was playing it too much and raging all the time at it, so he went back to playing old PS3 games, mainly zombies, which we played together a whole load. Back on topic, I bought Skyrim for the PS4 for like £35 because I just HAD to play the game. That itch that couldn't be scratched by anything else had been triggered, and one life became my pass time for a good 4 months, but once I'd gotten to the point where id beaten the main story line and done everything besides the stuff that requires you to be ridiculously high level like the fight against the one guy in the mountains somewhere.
During this entire time I'd never once touched survival mode, not even sure of it's a new addition or has always been in the game, still havent tried it, recently discovered a few channels that do the survival mode as a standard and that itch is coming back.
Did you really use invisibility against the falmer? 😂
Sometimes I don't know what goes through my head I swear hahaha
Would love to see a continuation of this! Great job
16:48 Did you seriously try to use invisibility to sneak past a blind enemy 😐

Cheers!
I recommend the steed stone for heavy armour builds it’s just north of solitude and it’s really really helpful :)
17:53 There's not a carriage in Dawnstar, but there is a boat towards the end of town that can take you to a hold that DOES have a carriage. It's double the fee, but.... eh. Winterhold was the worst town for me to play through on Survival mode.

This was funny AF played skyrim for years and haven't ever seen this channel glad I found it!!
I am emotionally invested.
Sven dying actually made me sad.
Also, I feel you. I made the mistake of creating a character that has 100 sneak, 100 pickpocket, like 50 alchemy and literally nothing else. Life is pain.

I always play Legendary-Survival without mods, can't imagine using fast travel in such a game.
The best part of leaving dawnstar is that you can take a boat to solitude or windhelm, the whole situation was avoidable
I love that this game always manages to stay relevent but its rediculous how long they are taking over elder scrolls VI
Top tip if you're a vampire lord you won't freeze to death while traveling just make sure you stand next to a fire or inside a cave for a few moments before reverting form. You can also hover over water and quickly travel with fast flying as a vampire lord. Also namiras ring let's you be a cannibal so if you want to be evil you can eat those you beat lol almost never worrying about food again.
gotta do another playthrough of this gem, you got me excited again!! This earns an instant subscription 🤩
Nazeem is the true Dragonborn
Great vid.. Hope to see more Skyrim in the future!
One question though, you got the Mace of Molag Bol, and continued using the dwarven mace? Was that just for looks of being all in Dwarven gear/weapons?.. it confused me.. lol
I think it had lower damage after I upgraded my dwarvern mace? I think when I can improve it I'll be going back to using it
I love survival mode and legendary, but crashes a bit. Usually when you have a disease. Sometimes better storms will cause that as well. Great Video!
Brooooo I felt this on so many levels😂 props and very fun memories
God I loved his commentary. I'm hearing hot Brit accent, homoeroticism, pinkish mentality, smartassness, and just cheeky joy. Fun
I'm a year late I know but at 5:35 the room was still rented to you, which is why you couldn't rent it again, you can just keep using it

Also tips. Get the staff of paralysis.
Get the aetherial crown and put ritual stone on it. After using the ability, you can re-equipt the crown and use the ability again.
