- A pair of Southern Railway Class 171 Turbostar diesel multiple units (DMU) nos, 171 802 & 171 803 call at Eridge whilst forming a service from London Bridge to Uckfield.

...and furthermore they should have the balls and restore the Lewes line link. Although I know this is tricky at Uckfield itself thanks to some new building works that effectively block the old line. Pity. It would provide a backup line to Brighton. And relieve pressure on the existing Brighton line by diverting Eastbourne/Hastings services via this route and have a shuttle service for those wanting to go to Plumpton & Cooksbridge.

Wowsers, I didn't they they ran trains with so many carriages on the Uckfield line.

@@bowlerstuff9589 the carriages on the uckfield line are really inconsistent, sometimes they are 2 carriages, sometimes 6 and sometimes 10

Fun Fact the mtu 6r183 engine tpin these trains is based on om447, which is used in o405 buses the crankshaft on mtu is extended as the engine is horrozontal
