How to fold down a large reflector

- How to fold down a big 2m x 1.5m background (or reflector). It's pretty easy to do but it took me a while to work out how when I first got it so I made a video.

I spent over two months trying to do this…my living room looked like a war zone….my mental health suffered…i watched so many videos…i wept at times, mostly into the backdrop. Thank you for making this look so easy…i still took another half hour to do mine 🤣

I do wish people would stop putting these videos out. People might see them and nothing gives me more fun than watching someone new trying to put my 150x200cm reflector down. That is the green cochineal of photography.

Yep. One of the hardest things in photography, for the uninitiated: folding down a large reflector without looking utterly stupid. Once you've done it a couple of times, it's actually easy. Love the way you just clearly demonstrate the way it's done, without any lecturing, Jamie.
Small reflectors, no problem. Changing tent, no problem. Big reflector, big problem. I tried the methods shown in several other videos, none of which worked. Perhaps there is a difference in the size of the steel ribbing among brands, I don't know. All I know is I tried yours and in 15 seconds I've got a neat and tidy folded reflector! Thank you!!

For me the key is to bring the top bow after the initial twist towards you, not away from you, as it seems more to want to, then to the floor.
I just got one... I'm hardly 5'1"... The thing in taller than me... I could hardly reach the top... My small hands couldn't "twist" the thing but I after a couple tries and between me holding the top center with my chin and trying to "twist"... "I got it!!" Thank you for the video 😀.
