The fact that Haezaru's face looks exactly like Munkidori's and that Munkidori is also based on a Japanese macaque just makes me love the idea that Munkidori was a Haezaru before gaining the toxic chain. Next video The Loyal Three before they became the Loyal Three confirmed?
I absolutely ADORE the concept of Grabbon!! It actually put a huge smile on my face!! I'd love to see a video covering a schooling Pokémon of every type.
I want a mustelid of every type. Floatzel is Water, Mienshao is Fighting, Furret is Normal, Weavile is both Dark and Ice. Maybe a Grass type Pine Marten that has pine needles for fur and a Ground type Badger could be a couple of ideas?
Ground type Badger? That makes me sad, since I've seen people retype Quilava and Typhlosion as Fire/Ground types in fan projects. Too bad they aren't, even if it would just be a Swampert type of situation. The gimmick for Grabbon is honestly pretty genius - I remember playing with that toy as a kid and as soon as I saw the silhouette, I knew what was up! I also love Haezaru. Really cool inspiration and the proportions of the design make it look really powerful.
Ironically, despite mentioning earlier in this video that we're going to blur the definition of "monkey" when it concerns primate Pokemon, Brandon only used *one* non-monkey as an influence in this entire video (the gibbon). Hats off to him.

My idea for a Steel Type monkey Pokémon was one based on the phrase "grease monkey," with it being based on real world mechanics and Capuchin monkeys, but steel tools instead of stone tools.
oooh but its a monkey mechanic fixing up peoples vehicles with metal tools it makes like tinkaton but using scraps it finds insted of metal from steel types
@@enderborn6860 That can also work! Probably steel from Steelix, due to it being a Pokémon that evolves with the Metal Coat. In addition to having a talent and love for fixing vehicles used by people.

I was expecting the steel type to be a play ‘monkey wrench’ but I love the idea you came up with. It would definitely be cool to see more Pokémon with the schooling ability/gimmick.
I can't tell if it was intentional but Simadona looks like it has the dark type symbol (from the TCG to be specific) at the back of its mouth. With Sinister Voice it makes sense, it would also be fun if the shape was the fairy icon from TCG if it has pixilate, giving the player or opponent a hint of the ability it has.
I always look forward to these series. Can I make suggestions? Beetles of every type. (I love beetles, funky little creatures) Snakes of everytype (not serpent like but full on reptile snakes) Youkai of every type (I love mythology and having every type represented by a youkai would be neat) Man-made pokemon of every type (like Magnemite, voltorb ect are clearly not naturally created pokemon so those for every type could be cool)
How about bear pokemon of every type? Three stages for each one, since you've already made third stages for pancham and cubchoo. That covers normal, dark, ice and fighting with kubfu's line. (Still needs a third stage.)

Alright, I'll be the nerd real quick... Technically speaking, "monkey" is not a scientific name, and any usage of it seems to be contradictory to how taxonomy actually goes about classifying animals. If you're going to use the term monkey, then anything stemming from any group that you classify as monkeys (this includes apes), would also have to be considered a monkey as well, due to the law of monophyly within cladistics. At one point, the branch of the evolutionary tree that led to the apes (Catarrhines) was called the "old world monkeys", but after this wacky debate, it was changed to the "old world anthropoids" despite its sister group (Platyrrhines) still being called the "new world monkeys". The only reason why monkey isn't used to describe apes too at this point is because of a picking and choosing of the word usage that really doesn't mean much of anything. Outside of the actual scientific classifications, any paraphyletic groups only exist within the constraints of definitions based on the opinion and general consensus of non-scientific groups. Another example of this would be the term, "fish", which isn't a real classification used within taxonomy, because if it was then just about every vertebrate living right now would have to be called a fish. Sorry for this rant. It all just boils down to, "the term monkey doesn't mean anything anyway, so call it what you want and don't listen to the nerds who tell you otherwise"
@@PragMagik Fortunately enough, taxonomy and cladistics are my area of study, and I love talking about how animals are classified in this way. And talking about animals in general.
