That was literally brilliant. I’ll never not be amazed by the patience of GMs. Maneuvers the knight with 3-4 move that feels like forever, then walks the king over across the whole row just to free the rook up. After that it’s curtains, what a masterclass unreal

Along with Naroditsky, Simon's speedrun videos are the best chess content on yt. I still think going back to 800-1000elo and starting again is more instructive than games against 2300 players though, as most of us will never reach that level, no matter how good the teacher is!

I always like watching videos where the GM plays someone 100 or 200 points higher rated than me.

He needs to get admin permission so he only gains a small amount of elo after every win, he progressed way too quickly

The combination of the Speedruns, TT, Longer Chess, and the one-offs (IQP, Bassman, Fischer, Adam Hunt memorial, etc) is a great smorgasbord and excellent template. Thank you!

Instructive game on how to put the opponent into utter passivity! Just a note: after planning a 4-move rout of the f3 knight to e4, without obstructing the defense of the b2 pawn, at 13:54 you go for the maneuver without noticing that black abandoned the siege of b2 and the knight can now be rerouted in just 2 moves...

Appreciated. I'm ~2100 and I've been watching a lot of Danya's videos since he has an abundance of videos vs 2000-2200s players. I appreciate this more cause I'm an attacking player myself and enjoy wild lines

You can often win games with delaying decisions, i rmemeber peter leko saying he had a good advantage in a drawish game and he played 40 moves of nothing to tire his oppoent out then proceded with the plan and he won !

Ginger you madlad, I wont give up asking you to play the polish opening (1.b4) :D and show us how to do it. You really do like odd and highly tactical positions which I think do arrive out of the polish very often. It would be greatly appreciated. Best of luck for 2025 and greetings!

Opponent Bf8 in end game to dominate your knight on e4 would surely have forced a draw as the rook end game you have no pawn breaks

Finding the best squares, maneuvering Knight from f3 to d3 is what a GM can play because we could maneuver the Knight from f3 to g3 when queens were on the board and I think it's a mistake, finding d3 for the Knight and rerouting the Knight to g3 after queen trade is a strategical decision it's not just about the Knight on the best square
