Hey Sihle, could you try and get something for the mats lit students who want to do health science degrees and some who want to do a BSC , i suggested a B-ed degree to the student but i'm not sure if that s the only course of action

I Started following you 2 yrs ago (I was in grade 11)From there I was sure that I want medicine n I Started working hard from matric then last yr I was in matric I applied for medicine n pharmacy in many universities when matric results came out I only had 4 distinctions n 3Bs With 81% I got rejected for medicine & pharmacy .n I got offers for engineering,law,teaching n 1 for Bsc .I am now in uj abt to do engineering I feel like I messed up n my dream for medicine is gonna be shutted down💔I wish atleast I was in a health related course 💔I feel like I will be depressed this yr worse I can't DEREGISTER at home they trust me I am the FIRST one to pass matric n go to the university 😥like they did a lot for me so that I can come to jhb from kzn😣Like I know that deep down I want medicine it's the only thing I would think of n dream of when I sleep or eat or wake up💔 What should I do?

Oh well i did. I was studying BA with a Psychology major at Wits. Did as Sihle said, i applied everywhere and got accepted at UCT. At 1st i thought it was impossible but hey I'm here now😅. At some universities though it is not impossible so it's best to look at their prospectus and selection processes.
@Ndzalo tbh i never checked the NSC requirements (all i checked was the university applicants requirements). All i had was 4 distinctions on my NSC. Worked hard in 1st semester & got 3/4 distinctions with an average of 81%. Worked hard again in 2nd semester and ended up with 5/7 distinctions with an average of 80%. I submitted my results in July and December. Oh and i also wrote my NBTs because i didn't write them while in matric. I hope this helps, it's not a lot but yeah. For more info check the prospectus, it has all the answers to whatever question you'd have🥺.

If you're interested in the Wits Gemp (Graduate Entry Medical Program) program, you can apply with your degree but you will have to do maths, physical science and life science at first year level too. Wits offers these courses on a part time schedule too. The Gemp program is 4 years. Do also research other universities, I can't help regarding UP, because I'm still researching them.

Hello 👋🏼 , yes it’s possible . The marks need to be competent because spaces are limited and competition is high . So an average of 80%+ would put you at a great chance of getting accepted
